‘I am Xander by the way,’ he mind linked after.
‘We should un mate. It was a mistake,’ Blake mind linked back, having made her decision.
‘Nope. Not going to happen,’ Xander mind linked her.
‘Why not?’ Blake mind linked him back, fighting the urge to look around him and challenge him.
‘I already saw from your mind that he has never shifted. Do you really want to be with someone that does not have a wolf?’ Xander questioned.
‘Where is your pack?’ Blake mind linked him, ignoring his question.
‘I don’t have a pack,’ Xander mind linked her, looking out of the car window at the castle.
‘Is he some sort of prince or what?’ Xander mind linked her in awe of the castle.
‘France has lots of castles. Just because you stay in one does not make you royalty,’ Blake mind linked and a chuckle escaped her throat.
Jnr looked over at her, “what is so funny?”
“Nothing.” Blake swallowed her laughter and made Xander shake his head.
‘How did a girl like you end up with a guy like him?’ Xander mind linked her.
‘A guy like him?’ Blake questioned while she waited for Jnr to walk around and open her car door for her.
‘He has a broom up his ass,’ Xander snorted while mind linking her as he got out of the car and looked around.
‘It is the circles we run in, I guess,’ Blake mind linked Xander as she got out of the car, smiling uncomfortably at Jnr. Never before did she think of Jnr as stiff but now looking from him to Xander and back at Jnr she wondered herself.
‘Glad to see we are in agreement,’ Xander mind linked her when he saw her mind.
‘Get out of my head,’ Blake mind link him before blocking him out.
Xander followed Jnr and Blake into the castle and the three of them noticed how pack members put their hands over their mouths.
Xander could feel his wolf wanting to take over and rip this look-alike apart; One for looking like him and, Two, for touching his fated mate. Xander controls himself, looking around, knowing that he can not shift in a public place filled with humans.
Some of the other students stared.
“We should get out of here. Maybe your parents will have some answers,” Blake suggested and pulled Jnr towards the nearest exit.
Xander followed them, confused, but needed answers.
Jnr opened the car door of his Volvo for Blake before walking around to the driver’s door. Xander got into the back seat behind Jnr and immediately regretted it due to the lack of leg space. Jnr was as tall as him and needed leg space, but he wanted a good view of Blake so he sucked it up.
On the way to the castle that Jnr called home, Xander mind linked Blake, ‘Blake hey? That is a cool name.’ He mind linked her after searing her mind for a while.
‘I am Xander by the way,’ he mind linked after.

Xander follows Jnr and Blake into the castle and the three of them noticed how pack members put their hands over their mouths.
“They clearly know something we don’t,” Jnr remarked.
Cindy, the pack cook, let out a squeal followed by tears when her eyes fell on the two guys, “the lost twin returned!”
Some more pack members stepped into the hallway to see what the commotion was about, and they all have the same reaction.
Jnr pressed the button for the elevator, but the pack has already mind linked their Alpha to show Alpha Alex what they are seeing.
“Xander!” Alpha Alex exclaimed, looking at his wife, Kim.
“What?” Kim jumped up, running after him towards the elevator doors.
“Xander! He is here!” Alex yelled, punching the elevator door button multiple times as if it will make the door open faster.
Kim’s eyes were filled with tears by the time they enter the elevator, hardly able to keep her emotions in check.
When the elevator doors opened on the ground floor of the castle, both parents ignored Jnr as if he did not exist and flung their arms around a confused Xander.
