144 - Cravings

Sophia's POV

"You're actually seven months pregnant." Our pack doctor's brows were drawn together.

"Is th-that a bad thing, Doctor Reb?" I shivered. Jacob instantly growled at the poor doctor. He quickly pecked my cheeks for Goddess know how many times and murmured, "Why would it be? I'm going to be a father!"

"We literally just graduated and haven't even gotten used to pack duties yet, Jacob," I anxiously commented as I bit my lip so hard that it bled. The doctor flinched as Jacob emitted his Alpha pheromones. Both to soothe and heal me, but at the same time, to quietly reprimand the doctor for making me anxious.

"Stop attacking the poor man!" I sighed and brushed off his pheromones with mine. Gestured for my aide to open the window so that my mate's hostile scent would be swept away by the wind.

Doctor Reb coughed as he thanked me and added, "Sorry to add to your worries, Luna, but the gestation period for wolves is four months.."

I froze, and Jacob did too. How could we forget that basic information?!

"S-so.. How is our baby?" I gulped, awaiting for his response. He had this bothered look on his face. Jacob pulled me closer to him to the point that I could hear his heart race.

"This is indeed abnormal." He tilted his head slightly. Abnormal? Will our baby be safe?!

"What do you mean by that?" Jacob asked with his dead, serious voice.

"Luna is a half witch. Both pureblooded and royal at that. She's the first being to have both exquisite blood runs in her veins. I don't actually quite know how to diagnose her state properly. But for now, she's healthy."

I sighed in relief. Didn't hear everything he just said, but only the last three words. Jacob grabbed Doctor Reb's collar and growled, "You should've told us the last part first!"

"I'm sorry, Alpha!" He shivered. I tapped Jacob's arm, he quickly turned his head towards me. The doctor still in his grasp as he tenderly spoke, "Is something the matter, my Luna?"

"Stop bothering him already! He's just doing his job." Jacob pouted at me and released Doctor Reb.

"I'm sorry about that, Doctor." I apologized, and he just shook his head. "We're used to him, Luna. He's actually been much worse in the past. No matter how dignified and calm he seemed at school. Alpha could only show his true colors here at Blood Moon."

Jacob glared at him as I pinched his arm. He whined and rested his head on my neck.

Doctor Reb smiled, seeing their Alpha this clingy. "He's only like this with you. I actually think this is his true self."

Jacob didn't even bother to listen anymore as he landed kisses and licks on my neck. "Jacob. Doctor Reb's still here!" Even one of my aides is still here!

"Nevermind them," he whined, and the doctor chuckled, "Former Alpha was like this to his mate too."

I shyly nodded and continued to listen to his advice. It's mostly for Jacob since all he said to me was that I needed absolute rest and a stress-free environment. Could only attend to my Luna duties for at least three hours a day instead of the usual almost half-day time at my office.

"If Luna wants anything to eat or if she craves something, it's important that she gets to eat it."

That was the last thing he said before leaving with my aide. He will be away for the time being as he will go to Crescent Moon to ask my mom about her pregnancy.

Shocks. I haven't told anyone yet about it. After barfing at the stairs, I told Jacob that we should keep this a secret until we're sure. Don't want them to be disappointed. Now that it's actually true, my mind's in a blank state.

"Hey.." He softly called, and I looked at him, eyes shivering in fear. "What're you so afraid of, Sophia? I'm here. You'll be fine."

"No one knows how a pregnancy of a half witch and wolf would go. What if our baby.."

My mate cut me off with a kiss. "As if we'll let the worst thing happen to her, right?"

"Her?" I managed to flash a smile. "You want a daughter and not a son?"

"Finally, a smile from you. You'd age quickly if you kept on frowning," he teased.

"Hey! You kept on frowning too!" I countered, and he replied, "Then, aging at the same pace as you doesn't sound bad either."

"What a talker!" I groused. "So, a daughter, huh?"

"Yeah. A son's pure headache." he chuckled. Maybe he's finally realizing how much of a headache he is to his parents. "But I don't mind it either, actually. Just want our first child to be a girl."

"If you manifest it that much, maybe it will be." I beamed, and Jacob leaned in to suddenly kiss me.

"Thank you, Sophia," he murmured when he slightly parted our lips for a brief second. "Thank you for denying my rejection. Thank you, because even if it felt unfair to you, you still tried your best to hang on. Despite me being such a douchebag,

"Yeah, you were." I agreed, and he sulked.

"You're supposed to deny it!"

I chuckled as he brushed his nose with mine.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry!" I giggled so loudly because my mate licked my neck as he held my waist, which triggered my tickle spots. Felt him smile as he nibbled on some parts of me and then lifted me up to our bed.

"Sleep," he ordered.

"It's literally still afternoon!" I complained, and he shook his head firmly. "Can't have both my girls tired now, can we? I'll deal with your duties until you give birth to our baby girl."

"What?! No way!" I argued, but he persisted. Jacob laid down beside me and lulled me to sleep, releasing his calming pheromones.

That's weird, had lots of energy just awhile ago and now..

It was midnight when I suddenly woke up and noticed the empty space beside me.

'Where are you?' I asked Jacob through the link, and he immediately replied, 'My baby's awake already?'

'Jacob, I literally slept for eight hours!'

I heard him chuckle, and that surprisingly irritates the hell out of me. 'What the fuck is funny!?'

'Just that.. It's been awhile since the cranky Sophia appeared.' My heart beat so warmly as his loving emotions flowed through our bond.

'Whatever.' I scoffed. 'Am hungry. Where are you anyways!? Why aren't you answering? Are you cheating already?!'

"As if I'd do that, my Luna." He suddenly emerged behind me. Didn't notice him, as it seemed he instantly jumped from the ground and up to our window!

"Jacob!" I gasped. "What if you broke the window!?"

"Why're you worried about the window!?" He growled and was suddenly on top of me. Though he was careful, he still exudes dominance.

"A-are you mad?" I gulped. Not quite afraid, but.. excited.

He shook his head and trailed down his kisses from my forehead, my nose, and finally to my lips. "Would never dare be mad at you, Sophia."

"Hmmm." I moaned when his calloused hands found my soft mounds. He gripped them with just the right amount of force. Just the exact one to make me beg for more.

"Jacob!" I gasped, and he didn't seem to plan on stopping as his lips and tongue hovered on top of my left breast. He circled his tongue and slightly used his teeth to stimulate pleasure. I'm feeling it more than ever. This is why I was so sexually frustrated, it's because I was pregnant. Jacob and I hadn't done it after the inauguration as we were occupied with a lot of matters.

He stopped his advances before it escalated further and sighed. "Thank goodness I held myself back numerous times. If I hadn't, then I could potentially hurt our daughter."

"I'm sure your daughter could protect herself, Jacob." I giggled to lighten up the mood.

"Yeah, considering her mother can defend herself too." He pulled my head into his chest. Talked all night about some important matters and even nonsense squabbles.

The succeeding weeks after that were much more hectic. My friends and family visited me after news spread that the new Luna of Blood Moon is already pregnant. Mom was teary-eyed and a mess, actually, when she hugged me softly. She shared her experience with Dr. Reb about her pregnancy. All she said was that it would hurt three times more than normal wolves, and the gestation period would be eight months. Meaning.. I'm due soon.

'Jacob. I want the Bloodbury's hospital rations.' I hummed through the link and could feel him instantly rushing from his office into our bedroom.

"Baby, you can't possibly expect me to get you that immediately, right?" He awkwardly chuckled, and I frowned. "But I want to eat those right now."

He smiled at me and kissed me first before leaving. "One Bloodbury's hospital ration coming up for our Luna!"

I giggled and bid him goodbye as he wolfed out and sprinted to Bloodbury. After hours, he came back. Sweats dripping, and before he handed me the food, he wiped his bodily fluids and washed his hands.

"Love a cleanfreak Alpha." I mumbled. He grinned then winked. "Know you do."

He took a quick bath and changed clothes before joining me in bed. He softly snatched the ration from my hand and insisted on feeding me.

"I have hands," I groused, to which he shrugged, "Just wanted to serve my Luna."

I defeatedly opened my mouth and munched what he offered.

'Lia.' I mind-linked. 'Is the baby okay?'

'Yup!' She beamed. 'Growing ever so healthy!'

I smiled at that thought. My baby bump isn't really obvious because it seems like the baby made her own space inside my stomach. How the heck that happened? I don't know either, but could feel my witch's power flowing through my veins ever since I learned of her existence. She grabbed hold of a part of my power during the Soulbound curse, and I was so fucking thankful that she survived all that ordeal on her own when she was only three or four days old!

Since she's of noble blood from both wolf domain and witch's realm, she already has instincts and a mind of her own, despite just being a mere small bean.

For seven months that I didn't know I was pregnant, she had been a quiet and calm child. I chuckled, and Jacob asked why I did.

"I'm actually referring to our child as a 'she' now too because of you." I chimed after swallowing the ration. He gave me water and kissed my forehead.

"That means that she's really a baby girl," he said, sounding so sure. "Are you already full now?"

I shook my head and pouted. "Want Cladbridge's snowberries and apples."

"Oh! And their clean and fresh water too!" I added, sounding so excited. Jacob's chest expanded as he laughed upon hearing my request. But instead of complaining, he placed the empty food bowl on top of the small cabinet and prepared to stand up. "If that is what you wish, then I would go and get it now."

Before he could reach the door, I hugged him from behind and shook my head. "Nevermind, I can eat those tomorrow! Get those for me tomorrow!"

"What? Are you sure? Doctor Reb said that I should give you what you crave." He turned around and cupped my face. Could see the worried look in his eyes, but I seductively whispered, "Then give me your lips, Alpha. For that is what I always craved the most."

He darkly chuckled, and without any warning, he launched an attack on my mouth with his expert lips and tongue.

Jacob carefully lifted me up with his strong hands, and could feel his fingers on my bum. I gasped and moaned with the sensation, and Jacob gladly invaded my mouth as I let him. "Your wish will forever be my command, my sweet Luna."
