Chapter 32 Anxiously Waiting

Chapter 32 Anxiously Waiting
“When is she going to leave my life?! She is giving me headaches now!”
“I don’t want even her shadow in my life!”
“Me? Marrying her? Are you out of your fucking mind!?”
All those words began to make sense now. It wasn’t for her, but Peach.
Soon the gradual comprehension sank in, drying her throat in anticipation.
Anxiously waiting for William to return, her hands were freezing, distress dropped to her core.
Her whole being was submerged in dread of knowing something unbearable but a string of faith lingered.
‘William has been extremely good to me… no doubt it was for the better but… why am I feeling distress?’
Stuck between confused feelings, before reaching an outcome, she believed she must confront William first, to question what was happening.
To her, it was- ‘It must be a misunderstanding, he must have also thought he was talking about me, like I did… right?’
And with endless scenarios being created in her mind, the night came and William returned late.
“Hey, I am home. I was starving so I had dinner already, I hope you weren’t waiting for me,” He chuckled faintly, placing his office bag away.
“I ate too,” She hummed, scanning him closely.
Being nonchalant, living his dream to its maximum extent, he gave Arabella a side hug, unbuttoning his coat and hanging it neatly.
Appearing before him, she leaned against the dressing table, unbuttoning his waistcoat, staring at his unfathomable eyes.
She saw no signs of hesitation, of insincerity as he ruffled his hair, taking off his watch.
“So, how was your day? Did you pack your things? I hope Luke hadn’t bothered you,”
“Hmm. He didn’t,”
“Here, I got this for you, intoxicating just like you,”
He smiled, offering her a floral scented perfume, pinching her cheeks and went to freshen up.
“Thank you,”
She stared at him for a few seconds, clutching the perfume close to her chest with both hands with strange sensations surging through her veins.
‘That couldn’t be an act or a lie. But why? Where was it two years ago? Where were you all this time? Why now?’
He came, picking his phone and plopping on the bed to pass some time before sleeping.
Arabella sat beside him, clearing her throat to get his attention when he was grossed in his phone.
“By the way, William,”
“Hmm?”
“I met Peach…,”
He stopped.
Her heart skipped a beat. Forming her lips in a thin line, she waited for a proper response as he placed the phone down.
Wet hair covering his front, making it difficult to encrypt his expressions. Fear began to rush in her veins, evoking a shiver from her core.
“Damn that Peach, the first this that irritating woman had to do was meet my brother and do this,”
Clutching the sheets, she waited for a reaction that took too long as he ended up emitting an evil, suppressed laugh, as if he had been explicitly amused.
“W-William…?”
Ignoring her call, he whispered under his breath, rising from the bed, increasing her anxiousness.
“Why can’t my fate tolerate two moments of my happiness?”
Getting up as well, she shifted to look at him as he pushed his hair behind, lifting his head high with a fatal smirk spreading across his thick lips.
“Just when I thought I could feel blessed too, you have to know everything,”
“...What did you do, William?”
Asking, on the verge of crying, she pulled his sleeves when he pretended to ignore her, yanking his arm back.
Shrinking her eyes sorrowfully, afraid to hear anything unendurable, she ended up raising her voice.
“The fuck did you do-”
Without a warning, his large hand gripped her jaw, using his other hand to place his index finger on her lips firmly, concealing her miserable call.
“Shh, shh, don’t raise this tone, I like it low, soft, and as usual melodious,”
Using a low but threatening whisper, his eyes gleamed with a darkness that dried her throat, hovering over her timid form.
Causing her to shake with a futile attempt of holding his wrist and ripping it off from her jaw.
“William, speak, please,”
A tear pricked in the corner as she whimpered only to receive his strong hands clasping her cheeks possessively.
Forcing her to tilt her head and stare dead into his burning gaze as he whispered back in a mellow resonance.
“Don’t worry, I will tell you everything when we will reach ‘our’ home, I have set it up accordingly, to our dream-like space,”
Ripping away from his rough hands, she slapped them away, lips quivering with tears stealing her vision that it was misunderstanding.
None of it was.
“Since… when?”
Arching an eyebrow seductively, he let out a suppressed chuckle revealing for how long he was knitting this web piece by piece.
“For two years,”
Gasping, she fell on the bed, holding the hem of her dress in horror as everything that happened began to make sense, stiffening her whole being.
“Since that… moment?” To her vague question, he just smirked. Evilly.
Covering her mouth, on the verge of breaking into a sobbing as the apprehension sank in of how neatly he set all this up, leaving her at a miserable point.
He found it exhilarating when the late realization gobbled her and there was literally nothing she could do about it.
Her whimper made him laugh wickedly, tracing his finger on the side of her face roughly.
“Aw, don’t give me this look, I told you myself that I don’t fucking care what I have to bargain, what I will lose, what I will confront,”
He was enjoying her reaction, he loved it.
Stopping right under her chin, he forcefully lifted her head, to stare into his madness, into the darkness he hid behind the frontage of a charming man,
“I came to take what had begun to intoxicate my mind, what became heavy on my soul, what exists in me more than I do,”
And stopped right at her ears, declaring seductively, the primary foundation of his return, of everything he had done.
“You, you and always you,”
“William, please… don’t say this,”
Growing desperate, Arabella ended up crying a little, still clinging onto his shirt to seek compassion,
“I knew you would react this way after knowing that is why I already prepared our private jet. We are leaving tonight,” He ordered darkly.
Pulling away slightly from her, leaving her in a messy, scared state, indulging in her reaction to the core, the horror, the comprehension, all of it.
She gulped from horror, “What…?”
And to worsen her state, shifting to his knees to stop right before her.
“You are now going to vanish from everyone’s live and live only in mine,”
“You fucking set this up! You made me lose everyone I cared about!”
“That’s the whole point, you don’t need others, all you need is me,”
Shivering to apprehend what was happening, she stared at him painfully, clutching her chest, tears spilling from her eyes and sobbed a little.
She struggled to leave, to fight him but he forced her to stare dead into his lethal gaze, flashing a questionable smile that made her breathless.
A panting, sweaty and teary condition, she unwillingly looked at him for two seconds, shaking as she whispered what he made her do.
“You… made me… choose you,”
“Exactly. So when we leave…”
Liberating a low, dark, chuckle, his fingers snaked around her neck, gripping her throat, frightening her to the core when he successfully completed his mission.
“There won’t be a single soul left to ask about you,”
“No, no, no, I won’t go anywhere with you,”
The fact he intended to vanish her from this world made her quiver, shaking her head in denial, she struggled to leave but his grip tightened.
Laughing hauntingly at her vulnerability, he enunciated the outcome of her fate.
“Whether you like it or not, you are going to come with me. Your life is sealed with me, My Dearest Arabella,”
