Chapter 151 The Return

Chapter 151 The Return
When Luke and Peach’s honeymoon went opposite to what they planned, Arabella attained the peak of her desire with William- His Devotion.

By the time they returned from their mesmerizing honeymoon, she had one aim fixed. Liyah was still staying with them. She looked confident.

‘What could she have done in one month? Can it change the years?’ She thought, arms folded gracefully at her chest, waiting for them.

“Welcome home,” Liyah taunted, her eyes scanning them with a cold precision, “You’ve finally returned after leaving your poor Auntie to die of boredom.”

“I am surprised to see you still here,” Arabella countered smoothly, her hands wrapped around William’s arm, leaning against him entirely, “I assumed you had returned home by now.”

“My empty home has nothing for me. I think I am going to stay here, with my kids,”

“Sure.” They both shrugged. Liyah glanced suspiciously at Arabella’s calm and collected expressions.

“William, rest. You must be tired,”

Liyah frowned, “What about lunch?”

“We can order.”

“There isn't a single restaurant in this zip code that understands my dietary needs. William knows how to prepare it. William, fetch the cast iron.” Liyah pointed toward the kitchen, her voice sharpening.

Arabella didn't move. She took William’s hand, lacing her fingers through his.

“My husband is exhausted from the drive. If you are truly hungry, I will cook for you.”

William, who was not used to having someone as his shield, was completely baffled. His eyes on Arabella, inducing a haunting  beautiful sensation in his heart.

“It’s alright, Bella, I can-”

“No. You are tired. I am sure your darling Auntie will understand. She loves you a lot after.” Forming a persuasive smile, Arabella led him to their room before shooting a warning look towards Liyah, “Don’t you?”

Chuckling nervously, she nodded, “Y-yeah. Rest, Son.”

After dealing with her, they were in their room. William’s eyes followed her cautiously, he wasn’t sure how to react and decided to rest for the time being.

Arabella came out and was cooking steak for Liyah who was judging all her actions, criticizing her every movement. For now, she endured it and complied with her words.

“You are flipping it too soon. You are bruising the meat,” Liyah hissed, leaning over Arabella’s shoulder to try and grab the tongs.

“Let me, you are clearly incompetent.”

“Sure. Go ahead.” She let out a grin of mockery, stepping away, letting her do this. With Liyah having no idea she did this on purpose… to make her cook.

“Do you think this changes anything?” Liyah whispered with suppressed rage, “A few sweet words and a cooked meal?

After she was done, she leaned against the counter, observing Arabella, “How much difference do you think it can make huh?”

Arabella simply smirked in return, whispering in her ears playfully, “Why don’t we find out?”

After leaving Liyah to choke on her bitter meal, Arabellla went to check up on William and decide what they should order.

William was standing by the window, his jacket discarded, his shirt unbuttoned at the collar, submerged in his unwanted thoughts.

“She is eating,” Arabella murmured.

Closing the door behind her, scanning William who turned to face her slightly with an unreadable expression.

“You didn't have to do that, Bella. My aunt... she has a way of making things difficult if she doesn't get her way. I could have just handled it.” He breathed out worriedly, not wanting to ruin the peace of his home.

“I know you could have.” She crossed the room, placing her hand over his shoulder, inducing a peaceful sensation into his core.

Closing his eyes, he swayed along the sensation when she whispered, “But, I want my man to rest.”

Turning him to face her, she held his face in her palm. She was stripping away his armor, piece by piece, replacing his stress with a focused, intoxicating desire.

“I know you can do anything, William but you deserve to relax too. Don’t worry I am here now.”

William found himself swaying toward her, drawn in by the gravity of her charm. Finding an unforeseen solace in her words, he kissed her palm.

“And you will be, right?”

“I will be. I promise.” She tiptoed, resting all her weight against him, “I won’t let anyone come between us anymore,”

“You are becoming dangerous, woman,” he chuckled huskily as he finally pulled her flush against him, his forehead resting against hers.

Arabella let out a soft, triumphant laugh, “Only to the people who try to take you from me. To you, I am whatever you need me to be.”

Her finger traced on the side of his face temptingly, defeating him by each passing second before pulling away.

“I will check up on your Auntie before she calls you again.”

“Sure, sure. I will order our food until then,” He chuckled, giving her shoulder a pat as she went down again only to find Liyah frowning deeply.

“Where were you? What if I need anything?”

“I think your voice would have reached me if you had screamed,” She replied monotonously, grabbing a glass and pouring herself some wine.

Liyah followed her movements with a glare. Her eyes met with Liyah’s, taking a sip of her drink gracefully.

“How’s the meal? Are you enjoying it?” Arabella asked in a teasing tone, sitting on the armrest, right beside her to watch her eat with a never-ending smirk.

“You seriously have no manners, do you, girl?” She scoffed, not liking the way she sat like that.

“I have to talk to William to teach you some.” Liyah muttered, munching on her bite only to feel a shift in the air.

“You have had years to make him yours, and yet, he is currently upstairs dreaming of me,” Arabella said softly, placing her hand over her shoulders, giving it a warning squeeze.

“So, tell me... how much difference do you think your petty presence is going to make now?”

Liyah went pale. Arabella picked a french fry from her plate and brought it to her mouth with a darkened gaze.

“Eat. You will need your strength for the move back to your empty house… Liyah.”
