Kathleen smiled at Nathaniel for the comment that was unrealistic. She couldn't believe he just said it like that easily. But Kathleen doesn't fall into traps like these, she was beware of boys and their flirting nature. She turn around bumping into another person that she doesn't want to come across after all that he did to her.
On the top of his flawless skin and the eyes that shone brightly every time she looked into it, that made Kathleen want to get to know the person within. She watched him stare at her in rage, there was something about him, the warrior in him combined with a gentleness that made her wonder how he could be so steady in the madness.
Crossing his arms over his chest and glaring at her with a smirk, like she was the one who did wrong and he has been doing everything right all his life, the reaction on his face flowing just like that. She bit her lip, she doesn't want to stand there for a long time and she was never in the mood to start a conversation as she doesn't want talk to him at all!
Then in that instant he turned and caught her wrist a bit harshly; before she could snatch it away, he grabbed the paper pad that she was carrying with genuine smirk spread across his face, turning it from handsome into divine. Every touch of his, send shivers down her spine.
In that moment she felt her body flush with anger, how could he do such a thing and act like nothing happened between them. Maybe he would have forgotten the way he treated her but Kathleen remembered every single second of it. This was the person she wanted to know more than she'd ever felt back before few days but now he is the one she hates the most. This was the guy she could hate for eternity.
He squinted at her through his hardened eyes which had been the thing she hate him the most for, but now they brought only the unfounded accusations, he acted like he was a?jealous?lover, kathleen could guess by the way he smirked and glared at her for no valid reason at all.
In her renewed silence, only his eyes stare into her brown ones. She stare at him with a smirk as actually she was hurt for what he did earlier. He said things about her that she would never do and she had eyes as open and honest as any child, it is an open book. Every emotions of her is read by him.
Every muscle in his face was tense and without a word he communicated intense mistrust, anger, despising. Now he stood between kathleen and the only entrance for the classroom glaring, seething, clenching his fists rhythmically...
She looks at me like the fire in her eyes has been dowsed with ice water, she was disappointed on what he did earlier and that made her cold. He was not used to it, he wasn't ready to neither apologize nor to make it up to her. He just stayed the same cold EJ that the campus feared about.
She wanted to talk freely to him like she always does but she won't, this time she is not gonna fall back again. Every single time, when he is around her, it's like he just crawled right back inside her invisible shell and no matter how hard she try to strengthen her wall, he is reachable, he shattered it like nothing.
And EJ doesn't treat her like every other person on the campus, she was special to him but something stopped him from accepting it. Seeing her smile at Nathaniel's comments, something pricked his heart, and he knew at that very moment that he can never visualize her with anyone else, not even his best friend, Robert.
She moves her eyes more slowly, like they're heavy, an effort to move. His heart urged him to shout out to her that he liked her but his mind doesn't want to do it all and he wasn't sure on how she would take it anyway after all he has put her through. He was standing right opposite to her at a distance of less than a feet, but he felt distant, so did she.
He said nothing, not a word but signed the petition and pushed the paper pad towards her who flinched back at his actions. He left the place without even sparing a glance at her, he moved away from that place like nothing happened, like she was no big deal to him, like her actions never bothered him but it wasn't true. Deep down be felt something else towards her but he never expressed it.
She totally forgot about Nathaniel and his help for the petition, it was generous for him to do that, she wasn t able to cherish the moment in wholesome as EJ intruded into it before it could even end. She wondered why EJ acted like he was actually jealous and the next minute left the place like nothing happened. Maybe he had bipolar.
The events with EJ weigh down on her creating a headache to form. She shook her head and moved into the classroom to find Brenda. She helped kathleen in getting the petition signed. The idea of sharing the news and details about the project 'saving vance'? over Instagram has really played the major role in getting the petition signed. Thanks to the person behind the idea.

Kathleen enters the room to find Laura and Janice were lost into a heated conversation. Kathleen stare at them as they continued their indistinct chattering without noticing her arrival. Kathleen clears her throat but still the girls were arguing about something that Kathleen had no idea on.
This seems like a cold war, but the ice melts just a little under the heat of the conversation, enough for Laura's fingers and palm to be wet. Janice was tensed though, and there's no way Laura can get through it any way.
Laura looked frustrated and sorry for what she did and Janice was furious on her for doing this. She opened and closed her palm to act normal and suppress her anger. Kathleen stare at the them, she wondered it to be such a small fight but it's enough for the girls to create some scene.
Climbing over her bed and making herself comfortable, she balance her head on the pillow and hear them out.
Stopping the conversation, laura looks at kathleen with a nervous smile. It's useless to think about it again, she just agreed to it knowing that she was leaving her head into a lion's den. Janice gave Laura one final stare as if her anger can melt off before opening up to Kathleen on what really happened, and staying angry on Laura is pointless and she let off a frustrated huff.
"Guys, enough! It's so dramatic", kathleen yawned.
"Screw you both, I have had enough for the today, so stop blowing it up and call it a day!", kathleen hugging her pillow tight. She really need a beauty sleep right now.
Janice swore loudly at Laura though she wasn't the one who dragged kathleen into this. Laura roll her eyes at Janice and urged her to spit the matter out. She wasn't sure on how kathleen was going to react to any of this.
"Ahmmm, kath", Laura stammered and Kathleen roll to her left facing her.
"What's the matter with you, you look frustrated? Is anything bothering you?!", kathleen questioned Laura and she just nodded.
"Just listen to me and don't freak out", she warned kathleen. Kathleen's eyes widened in shock as she sensed it was something about her.
"After my first class hour, I began my work of collecting signatures from the other students, getting some help from the senior year. I was walking down the corridor, when I slipped and the paper pad fell onto the floor, the papers just flew down the stairs to the basement entries of the other classroom.
From nowhere came a group of girls dressed in black?picking it all up. I remained rooted to my place as I was shocked to see them. I never wanted to cross paths with them. It was Beverly and her friends.
With the papers gone, I can't leave the place abruptly right?! So I stand there waiting for them to give me back the signed papers. They scanned the papers with a smirk and I gulped.
The one to her left with full arms stretched her hand towards me,
"Your papers", she said. Before I could take the papers, Arlie pulled it back with a evil grin. I wasn't sure on what they were trying to imply.
"So, you are Laura if I'm not wrong?!,", Beverly squint her eyes and I nodded.
"I really wanted to be a part of this project", she stopped, and stare back at me, her skin glowing under the day lights.
"How about I fund an amount of 25,000 dollar", by now the other two scoffed at her and I gasped on hearing her say twenty five thousand dollars, it would really be helpful for the project.
I spluttered, "Thanks" and she smiled signing the papers, for a minute, I really thought she was sweet, not like the others said and the tallest one, whispered something into Beverly's ears and she nodded.
"Friends?", she stretched her hand forward and I blinked, I really don't understand why she wanted to be friends with someone like me. Shivering, I shook her hands gently", Laura narrates the incident that happened to her early this morning. Kathleen wondered where this conversation was heading to.
' "So Laura, as we are friends, I invite you to my party tomorrow - A night for romance", she informed and I wasn't interested into it.
"Ahmm, no it's okay. Thank you", I stuttered trying to walk away.
"Hey, can't you see, it's a request, it's an order", hissed Arlie. I swallowed audibly and I shook my head in disapproval.
"See you at the party Laura", smirked Claudia.
"I would appreciate it if you bring kathleen to my party. I really want her to be there. I hope you can do that favor? as I have helped this project and most importantly, we are friends now", Beverly fakes a smile at my direction. That's when I understood that she wanted you and not me, she has something planned for you kath and she just used me as a key to get you. I tried to deny her offer but I just lost.
"Uh...ahm.. I'm not sure....if I'm gonna attend tha party.... I have got classes and works...so do kathleen", I stammered and the girls inched closer to me taking advantage of my fragile state.
"Look, ms. Laura whatever, if I don't see? kathleen at my party tomorrow, I'll show you who I'm and I'll make sure that you are gonna suffer for the rest of your years here", threatened Beverly and I was on the verge of tears. They left me alone after warning", Laura concluded her narration making Janice curse Beverly and her girls.
Kathleen rubbed her forehead not sure upon what to do next. She can't let down her friend and she pitied Laura, Beverly knew that she was the softest lamb among the three and used her as the primary target. She couldn't scare away either kathleen or Janice, and her threats won't work on them, that's why Beverly decided to threaten laura and Beverly was aware of kathleen and her behaviors, she knew that kathleen would do anything for her friends and she will never let them down.
So threatening Laura was the best part of her plan and now, kathleen will agree definitely to attend the party for Laura's sake.
"Hey, Laura! It's okay, I'll go with you to the party", kathleen agreed as she knew? Laura has a fear deep down on Beverly and her friends and what if they hurt her in Kathleen's absence for not showing up to her party.
