CHAPTER 24
It took us four days in the hospital. Today is our day out, and I'm waiting for Rezoir because he said goodbye for a while. I looked at the Hillarcas maid and the wall clock hanging on the wall.
"Did your sir say?"I'm sure.
"O-poo, ma'am, he said we should go first. "Because someone else will take care of it," he said. I have never been to the hacienda Hillarca, so this is the first time I have seen the housekeeper.
Even with hesitation, I nodded to him. But I stopped asking because he said Rezoir had told me not to. And after leaving the room, we went to the parking lot. Our car was waiting there; I didn't look at the driver's face.
I feel exhausted. When I looked at my son, he was still fast asleep. So I couldn't help but smile.
"Let's go!" My son was taken aback by that maid's cry. Perhaps surprised by the shout, I looked sharply at the maid.
"What are you shouting at?" "Can't you see that my son is sleeping?" I was annoyed. But I was slightly surprised and stunned when he pointed a knife at me.
"Shut up!" he whined. My eyes widened as I looked back at the entrance of the parking lot, and I was not disappointed to see Rezoir's face. It ran after our car, but we were already running fast.
My eyes welled up with tears, and I barely managed to let Rayver down. Like me, it is also crying.
"What?! Can't you afford to house your son? "You want me to plug it into him, and he will stop begging for good!"
Gone are the softest features on her face from earlier. Now it's like he's losing his mind; his grip on my son has tightened. My mouth was closed, and even though my heart was beating fast, I still tried to comfort my son. The blade was still in front of me as if telling me that he wouldn't hesitate to use the thing on us.
"At least drive faster! "We should make it to the pier on time if you don't want to make fun of me!" he promised the driver. I couldn't stop shaking because it mercilessly tugged at the driver's hair. Because of the way we were riding, I don't know if the woman is a maid of the Hillarras.
But like me, the driver was also very scared. If so, to them both. The driver is the employee of the Hillarcas, not the woman.
The woman cursed when she saw that there were cars following us. Someone is calling him on his phone, maybe his boss.
"Turn left!" he ordered the driver when the call ended. The woman squealed in anger, and I barely moved in when her eyes turned to me. "The plan can't fail!" he smiled devilishly at me. "If the plan doesn't succeed, your son will be our bait here!" "Maybe the Hillarcas are going crazy now, aren't they?" he laughed.
"W-what plan?" I stammered. "What do you need from me?" If it's money, I'll give it. "Just second us."
"If it's money, do you think I'll follow you to the hospital?"
"We need to go home as soon as possible." "We finally tracked the locations of the suspect; they are nowhere in Romblon."
remembering what Rezoir said to me the other day. My attention was immediately turned back to the woman; if so, it had something to do with her taking us to the case. Then... I'll confront the murderer of my mother!
"If you hadn't dug up the past, we wouldn't have ended up this way!"
"Y-you're a murderer...." I whispered.
"Stop it!" he shouted. I turned pale when I heard the strong current of the sea. "Babe!" he ordered me. Now the knife he was holding has been replaced by a gun!
"Don't worry, Ma'am; I'll save you."I stopped when the woman touched the trigger of the gun. The bloody body of the driver was lying on the floor.
"You talk a lot! You?" It turned to me at the same time: "Walk! "Don't try my patience," he threatened. My legs were shaking while I was walking; sometimes the woman pushed me. I moaned when he suddenly tweaked my hair. "Tangina, walk faster!"
I looked at the pier, hoping that he would show up and save us. But when we got on the ship, it still didn't show. Tears continued to well up in my eyes when I thought of the lifeless driver earlier. Fear enveloped me—fear for my son and me. Everything is planned. All these things are planned.
Kidnapping.
They easily caught us, clearly expecting me to be alone.
"All right, boss." I heard the woman answer. There were four armed men with the woman, who were assigned to take our mother and daughter. "Yes, boss, I'm sure the Hillarcas and Tacatas are aware," he said, nodding." The Tacata girl is alive and well," he said.
I am thankful that they did not take my child from me. They didn't even tie me up or anything because they knew I had nowhere to run. Also, we are in the middle of the ocean. I fear for our safety.
I looked at Rayver; my chest ached, and I couldn't stop crying again. He smiled at me innocently—if only he knew what situation we were facing. I kissed him on his nape.
"I'm sorry, baby, but I promise... I will protect you at all costs." "We need to trust him." I cried. "We need to trust your dad."
No matter what the occasion, the waves, and hum of the sea calm me down. But this time... I couldn't even calm down. With every wave of the ocean, I feel heavier. I silently prayed to him, hoping... at the very least for the safety of my son. I will only entrust him with his safety.
It was sunset when the ship stopped. Now that the same gun is not pointed at us, I'm sweating with nervousness. I've reached the point where I want to... throw up, begged them, but all I got was devilish laughter.
"Are you stupid?" What do you think is a movie? "Ah," an armed man said, nodding."You are the female protagonist, and the first grandson of the Hillarcas is the male protagonist." Don't worry; before he can save you, he will calm you down. You'll be first." They laughed when they saw my teary eyes.
"What are you laughing at?! Hurry up and don't act like a fool! "Even if we're on an island, it's still possible to escape, you fools!"
"P-Sorry ma'am." Their language. The woman's eyes were sharp.
"When that's gone! "You will hide from me, you understand?"
"Yes ma'am!"
"Walk!" They pushed me together. I almost tripped, and one of them grabbed my clothes and pulled me mercilessly. Rayver is quiet, and my son is good and gets along with me. I don't want them to turn their attention to her; I know she will get hot.
I couldn't appreciate the place enough because of the people in front. When we entered the rest house, I saw more staff. All of them carrying guns, they greeted the woman. As far as I can see, he is the right hand of their biggest boss. The people we pass give me devilish grins, and others whistle. I bit my lower lip.
Rezoir, baby. Please help us.
The woman pushed me into the room, and before I could speak, she slammed the door shut. I sat on the floor feeling weak. I had just come from the hospital. It's afternoon, and my stomach is still empty. Even though the place I was in was dark, my fear was temporarily relieved. Now I see no armed men. I immediately cleaned my clothes and nursed my son.
"I'm so sorry, baby. Because of me." "We're in danger again," I whispered and gently placed a light kiss on his forehead. I spent some time in the dark room, and now my son is sleeping soundly. I tried to sleep, but I was afraid something bad would happen if I closed my eyes. I wasn't sleepy; I was more anxious.
I can still hear the laughter outside. I knew someone was watching outside the room, even if I tried to escape. How? This island is surrounded by bad people. If I manage to get out of the rest house but not the island, I took a deep breath and immediately looked up. Trying to keep the tears from falling, all I have to do now is stay strong while waiting for the people who will save us. Perhaps by this time, what had happened had reached my family. I hope they don't get caught.
