Soft Shelter
Rory POV
The door shook fists pounding hard red lights flashing sharp through the window. My heart slammed, my breath fast, and Leo grabbed me his hand cold, shaky pulling me back from Mitch. “Go,” Leo hissed, his voice rough, shoving the door shut fast, locking it loud. Mitch yelled muffled, mad but footsteps faded, the shadows slipping away. My chest heaved, my legs shaky, and I leaned on the wall, my bandaged hand throbbing red, raw from the bar fight.
Leo turned eyes wide, face pale and grabbed my arms, his fingers soft now. “You okay?” he said, his voice low, his breath fast. My hands trembled still buzzing from punching that glass and I nodded, my throat tight, my chest heavy. Red lights flickered outside faint, far casting shadows on his face, and my stomach flipped fear still there, close, waiting.
“Yeah,” I mumbled, my voice shaky, my eyes on his dark, scared, soft. My heart raced mad, loving him and I stepped closer, my hands brushing his shirt. “You?” He nodded slow, stiff his jaw tight, and my chest squeezed needing him, needing us.
“C’mere,” he said, his voice cracking, pulling me to the bedroom slow, quiet the air thick and warm. My legs wobbled, my breath fast, and I followed, my hand in his sweaty, shaky feeling the world still out there, still loud. A car engine idled low, long outside, and my neck prickled, my chest tight, but I shut it out shut it all out just him.
We stopped by the bed, my hands trembling bad cuts stinging, knuckles bruised and he turned, his fingers soft on my jaw. “Rory,” he whispered, his voice rough, his eyes wet, and my heart jumped big, dumb wanting him close. I grabbed his shirt slow, careful pulling it up, my fingers brushing his chest hot, solid. He lifted my shirt gentle, slow his hands warm on my sides, and my breath hitched, my skin buzzing.
My jeans came next unbuttoned slow his hands shaky, peeling them down. I kicked them off clumsy, soft and tugged his down, my fingers grazing his hips warm, sweaty. We stood bare, close the room quiet, just our breaths, and my chest swelled soft, heavy loving him hard. Red lights flickered again sharp, quick through the blinds, and my throat tightened fear creeping but his hand brushed my arm, pulling me back.
He kissed me slow, deep his lips soft on mine, tasting salt and him. My hands slid up his back reverent, sure and I moaned quiet, shaky my legs weak. He pulled me down gentle, slow onto the sheets, my body over his, my chest on his warm, safe. “Leo,” I whispered, my voice breaking, my hands in his hair messy, damp and he kissed my bruised knuckles soft, careful his lips trembling on the cuts.
“You fought for me,” he mumbled, his voice thick, his eyes on mine soft, scared and my chest ached raw, proud my hands shaking worse. I nodded quick, dumb and kissed him hard, deep my tongue slow in his mouth. He groaned low, needy and rolled me over, his weight soft on me, his hands spreading my legs gentle, loving.
His lips moved slow, warm down my neck, my chest, my spine kissing every bump, soft and wet. My breath hitched loud, shaky my back arching, my hands fisting the sheets. “Leo,” I gasped, my voice rough, my skin tingling safe, his and he pressed closer, his chest on my back, his breath hot on my neck.
“I got you,” he whispered, his voice low, his hands soft on my hips lifting me, holding me. My legs shook weak, wanting and he pushed in slow, tender filling me up gentle. I moaned long, soft my chest heaving, my hands grabbing his arms tight, needy. The room filled our gasps, our breaths loud and warm, a refuge from the storm outside.
“Rory,” he moaned quiet, breaking his hips rocking slow, deep. My body buzzed hot, slick my sweat mixing with his, my heart pounding loving him loud. “I’ll fix this,” he said, his voice shaky unsure, desperate his hand tracing my jaw, soft and trembling. My chest squeezed tight, scared feeling the weight in his words, the fear he couldn’t keep it.
“Yeah,” I gasped, my voice cracking trusting, hoping my hands pulling him closer hard, sure. He thrust slow, deep his lips on my spine again, kissing soft, and my eyes burned tears slipping my chest full safe, his. “Leo,” I moaned long, loving my body shaking, my legs tight around him.
We moved slow, steady our gasps loud, our hands locked sweaty, slick holding on. My heart raced wild, soft and I turned my head, kissing him messy, deep my tongue tasting his sweat. He groaned rough, needy his hand on my jaw, his thumb brushing my lip gentle, desperate and my chest swelled breaking, healing.
It built slow, warm my moans louder, my body trembling close, so close. “Leo,” I gasped sharp, breaking my hands clawing the sheets, and he kissed my neck soft, fierce pushing deeper. I came loud, shaky my voice cracking, my legs weak, and he followed quiet, trembling his moan soft in my ear, his arms wrapping me tight.
We slumped panting, sweaty my back on his chest, his hands soft on my sides. My breath slowed shaky, warm and he kissed my bruised knuckles again slow, careful his lips trembling still. My chest buzzed full, safe but my hands shook fight lingering, fear close and I turned, my lips brushing his soft, loving.
“I’ll fix this,” he said again low, desperate his voice cracking, his eyes wet scared he couldn’t. My throat burned my chest tight and I nodded slow, soft my fingers tracing his jaw, feeling his sweat, his fear. Red lights flickered faint, far outside, and that engine idled low, long making my neck prickle, my heart jump.
“Yeah,” I whispered shaky, sure my arms around his neck, pulling him close safe, ours. My chest heaved soft, heavy and I kissed him slow, deep my hands in his hair damp, messy holding on. The world waited loud, mean but here, slick and tangled, we were us loving, fighting, safe.
Then a thump hit soft, close outside the window. My heart stopped my breath fast and Leo tensed hard, quick his hand freezing on my hip. “What ” I said my voice cracking sitting up fast, my chest tight. Red lights flashed sharper now cutting the dark, and my stomach flipped cold, hard watching shadows move slow, tall by the glass.
“Rory ” Leo said his voice low, shaky grabbing my arm hard, scared pulling me down. My legs shook my hands cold and I slid off him fast, clumsy my eyes locked on the window. The thump came again louder, heavier and my breath stuck my chest buzzing fear choking me.
“Leo ” I gasped my voice breaking grabbing his hand tight, sweaty my heart slamming wild. He stood stiff, slow his eyes wide, darting to the blinds red glowing sharp and my stomach dropped fear crashing in. A voice hissed low, rough outside, and the glass rattled hard, fast as something banged loud, cracking the quiet open.
