CHAPTER 26
JOSHUA’S POV
“Keep me updated of things in here. And I want the report for yesterday’s event. Send me a soft copy and also, tell the managerial head that we will continue on the Calendula oil project. We’ll just have to delay the production a bit later to make more amends since it’s getting in demand especially here in our Indian base.”
My P. A nodded as I listed him the things he had to do for me now that I had to leave India.
I then strode off and directly went to the elevator and back to our hotel room. As I wait for the lift, I was reminded of the happenings yesterday. It just went on a flash, so fast that I couldn’t believe that I’m already married and tied to the person I love. I couldn’t get myself to believe the reality of it. When I was preparing all those things, I was both excited and nervous knowing all too well that Ishita might not like everything of it. And she might think I’m getting things done so fast. But the moment she said yes to me, my world instantly brightened and I couldn’t bring myself to stop smiling at those events. I know that I indeed had things done so fast but I just couldn’t get myself to imagine Ishita out of my sight anymore especially that she’s not just beautiful in the inside but also twice and million times more beautiful in the outside and I wouldn’t settle for less having her with another man other than me.
“I’m ready, should we go now?”
I just nodded with a smile as Ishita flashed me her ever pretty smiles. I have been seeing her wide-glowing smiles these days and I’m for sure the happiest to see that and I won’t ever get used to it as every time she smiles, it still gets to me how even more pretty she is when she’s smiling.
We both came outside after packing our bags. Once we check out from hotel, we sit inside the car and reached Airport soon. Not for once I left Ish’s hand. The feeling of being married with the one, whom you love, is something which I can’t describe in words. We came here India for work purpose but we get married here. This Delhi has our sweet memories along with bitter truths.
Ish also meet her aunt Sheetal along with Orphanage children and from her batch as well. Aunt Sheetal cry when she saw Ish all grown up and when Ish saw her, she couldn’t help but cry and hug her so tight that her life is depending on her. Well; her life is depended on her only. If Sheetal aunt wouldn’t send her in Philippines then I didn’t met with her. She is a gem which I always want her to be with me only. I didn’t tell about our marriage to my mom. I don’t know how she will react. I know she likes Ish, but marriage is not a small thing.
I will tell her once we reach at home. I look at the Ish who is holding my hand but looking at outside and thinking something. She is looking so beautiful that even for a sec, I can’t blink my eyes.
We reached at Airport and after doing the formalities, we sit inside the plane. We are sitting in business class so we both are comfortably sat. After some time Ish sleeps in my arms only. She must be tired with yesterday’s arrangements. I know there will be lots of hurdles came in front of us but we both will pass together.
After a long flight of 8 hours, we finally reach. I wake Ish up and we both came outside and sit inside the car. I already arrange it for us. Ish looks at me and wanted to ask me but she is not asking anything. I slightly stroke his face with my thumb and she just closes her eyes.
“What happen Ish? You want to ask something?” I asked her and she opens her eyes.
“Did they know about our marriage?”
“No. But they will get know once we reach at home.” I said and she puts her hand on my shoulder and I wrap my arm around her.
“If they will not get agree then?”
“Don’t worry they will agree. Everyone likes you at home. So don’t worry okay.” I said and she nodded her head and I kissed her forehead gently.
After half an hour we both reach my house. Car stopped in front of the main gate. I came outside of the car and then went to Ish side to open the door for her. I open the door and forward her my hand. She looks at me with a smile and holds my hand and came outside. We both came inside and I ring the bell. Ate Rosa opens the door and gives us a warm smile.
“Joshy, Ish come inside.” She said and we both came inside and sit in the living room couch. One maid takes our suitcase upstairs when I stopped them.
Mom also came from Kitchen. We both stood up and hug mom. Ate Rosa still looking at me.
“Joshy, why you stop them?” Ate Rosa asks and Mom also looks at the direction where the maids are standing and then look at me.
“You put Ish luggage in my room.” I said and Maid nodded their head and went upstairs. Ate Rosa and Mom looking at me with confusion face. I know what they are thinking and now it’s time to tell about us.
I was about to say when Layad ran towards me and jump into my arms. She kissed me on my cheeks and jump to Ish’s arms. Layad kisses on her whole face and giggled and Ish also did the same.
“Layad, baby will you take your Ate Ish to my room please.” I said to Layad which she happily agreed. Ish look at me and I nodded my head and giving her a slight smile to tell her that I will handle everything.
When they both went upstairs I look at Mom and Ate Rosa.
“Mom, Ate please sit on the couch. I want to tell you something.” I said and they both settled themselves on couch and now looking at me.
“Mom, I and Ish got married.”
“WHAT/WHAT?” Both Mom and Ate said together. I look at them but I look the confusion only. There is no sadness in their eyes.
“Yes mom, I am so sorry that I took this decision by myself but this is also the truth that I love her.” I said and both of them listening to me but also smiles when I confess my love to them.
“Did you confess your feelings to her?” Ate Rosa asked.
“No I didn’t tell her that I love her but I proposed her yesterday.”
“Yesterday?” Mom asked
“Yes mom. After I got to know about Ish past, I didn’t want her to leave me so I proposed her and she said yes. So we both got married there.” I said and they both just looking at me with confused face
“Past? What are you telling us Joshua? We actually didn’t get you” Ate Rosa said and Mom nodded her head agreeing with Ate Rosa.
“Actually we both went to Delhi and….” I was about to say everything when my mom cut me in middle
“You were in Delhi? India?” Mom whispered this and I nodded my head in agreement. Her face got pale. I don’t know why but she just nodded her head to me to continue what I was telling. I nodded my head in agreement and started to tell them about her childhood, how I met Ish’s aunt and she told me everything.
“When Ish was 17, on the day of Independence Day she got raped and it was gang rape.” I said and my mom and Ate Rosa put their hand on their mouth.
My mom having tears in her eyes, so do Ate eyes. They didn’t expect that to whom they saw smiling had suffered so much from her childhood.
“After hearing all this, I thought that she will leave me because still she hasn’t recovered from her past. I want to be with her every time, every second. I realize my love when I got to know about her past. Never for once she complained to me. She also didn’t complain me when I said that she has to go to Delhi with me because of some reasons but the reason was that I wanted to know her past. That’s it. You know when we reached Delhi and I told her in Airplane, she literally got blank and fainted that time. I decided that day that I never leave her alone.” I said telling them about everything because I never hide anything from both of them and they are my family so they have rights to know about me and my wife. My Wife; it sounds magical.
“Joshy…I-I am so happy that you married to her only” Mom said while crying.
“You know Joshy that yesterday she only calls you to talk about this matter” Ate Rosa said smilingly and I frowned.
“What do you mean?”
“Actually we both wanted you to get married to Ish so this is the reason why we called you yesterday.” She said and I smiled looking at them.
“I think we should get them married again and this time in front of us. With all the rituals.” Ate Rosa said and I smiled. Don’t know what to say about this.
“We both get married now so there is no need for marriage again. We can hold Reception where we can invite our guest and then we tell them about my marriage. How’s it?” I suggested and they seem to be getting agree with my decision.
“Okay then we will hold Reception then. We will decide the date. You go and take some rest okay.” Ate Rosa said and I nodded my head. I hugged mom and she hugged me back and cry a little. I wipe her tears and nodded my head in no. No more crying.
“I never knew that my Joshy became this big that he got married with the one he loved. I am so happy for you Joshy, so happy” She said while crying. Why am I feeling like there is something which she wanted to tell but can’t tell.
Is there anything for me to know or am I just thinking too much? Well, for now I leave all this behind and break my hug. I need some rest I guess.
“Mom, you take some rest okay. When dinner gets ready we both come downstairs and then you both can discuss about Reception with Ish okay.” I said and she nodded her head in agreement.
