Chapter 48 Fuck It!
Chapter 48 Fuck It!
Barth’s POV:
I watched her as she took in slow breaths as she slept. Her head on my shoulders. She looked even more breathtaking while she slept.
I couldn’t afford to even blink.
A single thought tugged on my mind. What if she left like she did?
I had never opened myself up to anyone, not even my father after Cecilia left. I kept my feelings bottled inside, finding relief and purpose in hockey but now, Yvonne had unlocked a part of me.
I let out a soft sigh as I carried her up in my arms, slowly walking up the stairs as she nuzzled closer into my chest.
I will leave her with the choice of wanting to stay or not.
Everyone leaves eventually.
The thought of it was even more heartbreaking than the action.
…
The next morning, I woke up before her, drinking in her early morning look. A drool was slowly falling from her mouth onto the bed and it made me chuckle.
Placing a kiss on her forehead, I walked out of the room carefully not to wake her up.
I was never good in the kitchen.
The sight before me solidified that opinion further. The eggs were burnt black, the toast was even more worse than I had thought. The bacon was half done but atleast the coffee was good?
I took a sip and instantly spat it out in the sink.
What the fuck?!
My mouth was instantly scalded!
“Wow, this must be fun.”
I turned around, wiping the corner of my mouth with a thumb.
My cock twiched inside my pants.
Yvonne was dressed in one of my T-shirts, stopping right on her delicious looking thighs. I wanted to reach out to move my fingers over the soft skin, but stopped myself.
Her hair was packed into a messy bun as her eyes moved over the mess I had created.
She looked into the pan and burst into laughter, her face going red.
“What the heck?” She looked up at me. “Barth, were you trying to burn the house as well? If you can’t cook, why didn’t you wake me up.”
I coughed slightly, trying to act unbothered by how innocent she looked in my T-shirts.
Yvonne affected me even more than I had thought.
“You were snoring so loudly in the bed and I didn’t want to disturb you. And besides, appreciate my efforts!”
Yvonne was taken aback by my words. Her face etched into a frown.
“I don’t snore!”
I rolled my eyes with a snort.
“Yeah, sure.”
She clenched her jaw before looking back at the pans. “Well, some sort of breakfast you were trying to prepare…”
I let out a sigh and leaned against the cabinet while I watched her cook. She is really bossy in the kitchen, ordering me around like some five year old kid. In few minutes, our breakfast was finally ready.
A deep contrast to the burnt flakes I had done.
“What do you think?” She asked, sipping from her coffee with a raised brow as I ate.
I squeezed my face in disgust. “The egg is salty. The toast is burnt on one side and the bacon tastes like shit. You really need to level up on your cooking skills, Yvonne.”
Yvonne’s smile instantly vanished from her face. She was fuming all over, her little ears going red from rage and I can sweat that I see some smoke over her head.
I couldn’t hold in my laughter.
“That wasn’t fair at all, Barth,” she said with a small pout, folding her arms, glaring at me.
I chuckled slightly.
“Sorry, I was just pulling your legs,” I ate a large chunk of the toast and mumbled. “It’s really good.”
A smile formed on her face and she nodded, eating her breakfast happily. My heart kept fluttering while I stared at her lips.
Oh, how I would love to taste those lips on mine once again.
Yvonne looked up at me with an inquisitive look, while touching her face.
“What’s wrong?” She asked, wide eyed. “Is something on my face?”
“Fuck it!” I groaned.
I walked towards her and cupped her face, our eyes locked onto each other. The atmosphere instantly became heated and electrifying. My breathing came out low and shallow.
“Bart—”
Before she could complete her sentence, my lips were on hers.
The taste of the milky coffee on her lips turned me on even more. Yvonne was stunned for a minute but she soon reciprocated, her hands finding my neck before slowly sliding into my hair.
Our tongues fought for dominance while my hands racked over her soft skin.
Without warning, I carried her up from the stool and onto the cabinet, earning a yelp from her. Slowly and reluctantly, I broke the kiss.
“Barth…” she muttered, her small plump lips red as she stared at me with need.
“Be patient, Brooklyn.”
