Chapter 34 The Overbearing Tan
Barth’s POV:
I sighed tiredly as I pulled up my car in front of the penthouse. Getting inside, I tossed the keys on the table and walked upstairs.
Taking off my jackets and dropping my hockey gear on the floor, I walked into the bathroom to have a hot shower. I closed my eyes as the water streamed down my head, thoughts of her made blood rush down making me hard.
I thought of our last kiss. I knew she missed me because of how she had kissed me back but I was stupid. I was so stupid to have said something like that and Tan had taken advantage of it.
I can’t say I was overjoyed or surprised when I saw what she had written about me in her diary. I also had those thoughts about her as well.
Every night, I wondered how it will feel to have her in bed, close to me so I could smell the strawberry shampoo she uses in her hair. Or how she would feel wrapped up in my hands as I run my fingers around her soft skin.
I groaned softly as I felt my dick twitch. Exhaling deeply, I shook my head, turning off the shower and took the towel from the rack, wrapping it around my waist. Yvonne had stopped answering my calls or responding to my texts since that day and it made me paranoid that sometimes I take it out on the boys during practice.
Luckily, they seemed to have known something was up with me so they weren’t really annoyed with me. Can’t say the same for Coach though. Thankfully, my dad had the incident under control but Coach has been drilling me hard that I could feel the pressure in my legs.
I flicked the bedroom lights on and my eyes widened on seeing Tan half naked in my bed, lying in a seductive way, staring at me with lust in her eyes.
My surprise turned into disgust as my jaw tightened. She was wearing a red lacy bra and a thong. The other me would have pounced on her with no restrictions but with Yvonne on my mind, I couldn’t touch any girl anymore.
“What are you doing here?!” I growled, trying to contain my anger.
Tan ignored my question, bitting on her lower lip that was bright red with lipgloss as she took off her bra, her full breasts coming into view.
She took slow steps towards me, but my eyes were fixed on her face. As she tried to reach out to me, I caught her hands, glaring at her.
“I asked you a question, what are you doing here?”
Tan scoffed. “What does it look like? I want you, Barth.”
She tried to get off my hold but my grip tightened and she winced.
“You’re hurting me!”
“How did you get in? The door was locked.”
“Let go!” She cried and I released my grip, shoving her away from me.
“I’m your girlfriend, Barth. You haven’t touched me since forever and I need you now. Don’t you have feelings for me anymore?”
I rolled my eyes, turning around, walking into my walk-in closet to get a T-shirt. “You and I know that I can never fall in love, Tan. So don’t pull that card on me because if I do, it definitely won’t be with you.”
I threw the T-shirt at her. “Wear this and get out.”
Tan’s watery eyes did nothing but intensify my disgust.
“Is this because of her?”
“Who?” I raised a brow.
“We both know who!” She yelled. “You are in love with her, aren’t you?”
“I have no idea what you are taking about and I’m being kind enough to tell you to leave calmly. Don’t make me force you.”
She chuckled softly. “I have done everything just to get your attention and now that I have you as mine, you won’t even touch me or acknowledge me privately. This isn’t fair, Barth.”
She tried walking towards me but one look from me made her stop dead in her tracks.
“Do not push me, Tan. Just leave!”
I made a mental note to change my door password.
Tears streamed down her face, smudging her makeup making her look hideous as her fist clenched at her sides. “She won’t have you and I will make sure of that.”
I couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh. “Don’t even dare harm a hair on her head. Haven’t you done enough!?”
“No!” She screamed, stomping her feet on the ground. “You are in love with her! Why should I stop? I won’t! You are mine!”
“I’m nobody’s and I never said I was in love with her,” I pinched my eyebrows.
“You didn’t deny it either,” She retorted, her body trembling with rage.
“Just leave,” I said coldly, gesturing towards the door. “And do not try to pull this stunt ever again or else!”
“Fine!”
She took her bra and stormed off. A few seconds later, I heard the downstairs door close with a slam.
I felt my jaw twitched as I considered Tan’s words. Was I really in love with Yvonne?
Yeah, I was attracted to her, badly. But love? I didn’t even know what that word meant.
And even if I felt anything for Yvonne, it was way worse than love, it was a deadly obsession. I had caused her a lot and I didn’t want to hurt her anymore.
When I saw her in school today laughing with Chloe and Ryan, I wanted to walk right up to them and mark her as mine. Ryan was up to no good and even if Tan had swore that the idea was all hers, I knew she had help executing it.
I ran my hand through my hair, feeling frustrated. My emotions were making a mess of me, I had always had control but now, my world was rocking all because of… her.
You said I should stay away from you, Bree. But, you are like a drug that I have become addicted to…
