Chapter 124 Alpha Leader’s Decision
Chapter 124 Alpha Leader’s Decision
Gabriel's POV
As the boys came back, we all sat around as Irene passed water.
Then Liam and the boys told what they saw, and found out.
"So, they are living in Serpenford City, huh." I said as the others looked on.
"Gabriel, is this city a special one?" Dustin asked in curiosity.
"Not a special city, but casue of what lingers there--Serpents, and not as in snakes, but serpents, sea serpents and poisonous ones." I said in a frank voice.
"What? Poisonous serpents? Then why are they living there, and why are they living there?" Claude asked, confused.
"Simple, Serpenford was actually a city under the ocean. It came ashore about a hundred years ago. The moment it surfaced, the inhabitants changed into serpents. The serpents are actually the native inhabitants of the city. The reason the Phantom Quenchers chose this city is clear--no one dares come there. They can do anything they want, like detain humans transformed into vampires. And as their count increases, I think they plan to release the serpents into the next city and take over it."
"Gabriel? What do you mean by release?" Dustin asked, confused.
"The elders cast a barrier over the Serpenford City and made sure the serpents never came out. That also means, no one can enter. The intention was, for the serpents to live their own lives, until the Outlier waves erupt and the waves take the city back." I said explaining. "But, it looks like they've found a way to enter. And, if they have, then they have a way to go out as well. Meaning, they can make anyone come in and out, serpents included." I said, sighing.
"Okay, so that means that transforming the humans into vampires isn't our only concern then." Owen said in a frank voice.
"Well, the serpents are not really a problem until they are released. Even then, I have a way to make sure they go back to where they came from. But, we have to ensure no more humans transform and other vampires don't find out." I said in a frank voice.
"So, that means, we have to cover when we save the humans and also make sure the Phantom Quenchers don't find out and cause havoc." Gus said.
"Yes, but most important is they don't find out you are saving the humans. Save them in a way, it looks natural. So, they think it's a coincidence. Of course, getting saved will make them suspicious, and then if you have to, come face to face. By then we'll all be there with you." I said in a frank voice.
"Be there? As you, you alpha leaders?" Simon asked in a curious voice.
"Of course. If you guys come face to face with the Phantom Quenchers, then we'll have to step up. Boys, the Phantom Quenchers don't follow any rules, and definitely don't abide by any treaty. And, they won't be able to differentiate between werewolves and wolves. So, they will treat the wolves as enemies. And, Liam and Owen, you alone won't be able to deal with them."
"Alone? Gabriel--"
"Liam, sorry for cutting, but they are not pure blood." I said in a frank voice.
"What???" Everyone said in unison.
"Yes, every Phantom Quencher has drank human blood at least once in their life. That's why they are not pure blood like us. And, that makes them inferior to us. For them Nelo, and Waren alone are enough. But as they have to protect the mountain border, I can't ask them to join your group. At least, they'll come to help." I said explaining.
"Oh, great. But how will we call you guys?" Simon asked, confused.
"That, (Dane showed a Signal flare) use these. When we see this released, we'll come over. Each one will release only one. The more we see, the more serious the situation is on your side." Dane said as he handed the flares.
"And, Julia has made sure there's ample stock of signal flares. They'll be delivered to your cottage. When you guys come back, stock up." Blake explained.
"Now for the plan layout." Liam said as he rolled out a scroll on the table.
"Okay, you boys, keep an eye and save all and any human you can. We ain't telling you to save all, as we know it's not possible to keep a round the clock watch. For that matter, they could be dealing with a victim as we speak. So, what's not possible, we can't and shouldn't blame ourselves. But as long as it's in front of us, we will do all in our power to save the humans." Denis said in a frank voice.
"Alpha Leaders, we will save all whom we can, but we still haven't found out if Nodin has a special reason for transforming the human, as so far all are males." Dew said in a confused voice.
"What? Only males?" I said, confused.
"Yes, we realized the bodies burnt were all males, the ones they attacked were males. The humans kept over at Serpenford City are all males. Absolutely no female." Dew said, explaining.
"If so, then that only means one thing." I said in a frank voice. "Nodin is making an army, and might even be planning to stage a war on the humans." I said in a frank voice.
"A war on humans? True humans don't have silver weapons, but when they know they're fighting against the vampires, won't they upload all weapons with silver bullets and missiles?" Mura said, confused.
"Boys, remember, if a war breaks out between humans and vampires, humans don't stand a chance. As per the treaty, if one clan gets attacked by the humans, based on true facts, the vampire clan did not break the treaty, other clans will stand alone and help." I leaned over. "Boys, do you think if Shadow Outlaws were to help Phantom Quenchers, the humans can survive?"
"Oh, if that's so, then it will be easy. But I don't think we'll reach to a war scenerio." Mura said in a frank voice.
"Yes, that's why we should do everything under covers. Even other clans should not know about the treaty breach the Phantom Quenchers have done." I said in a frank voice.
"Gabriel, we'll make sure the Quenchers don't get their way. For now, we'll take our leave as we don't want to give them chances of killing innocent humans." Dew said as he got up.
"Killing?" You mean transforming, right?" Denis asked confused.
"No, I mean killing. The group that's responsible, don't have control over their sucking. So, far they've killed all the ones they tried to. Nodin is also angry with them regarding this as no new human has been brought to the city." Dew said, explaining.
