Chapter 115 Julia Is Poisoned

Chapter 115 Julia Is Poisoned
Blake's POV
I was sleeping when some pattering of feet woke me. I could hear faint whispers, but one word that I could clearly hear was-Julia.
"Julia? What's going on out there? Roffe? Roffe?" I called out.
"Yes leader!" Roffe came running.
"What's going on, and why's everyone taking her name?" I asked in a little loud voice.
"Leader, Lady Julia isn't in her room and the herbs she gathered, also are missing." Roffe said, looking down.
"Herbs? What herbs?" I said, confused.
"Leader, Jade Moss and Tiger Angelica. They also are not in her room. We think she's gone to the altar. We've sent omega's behind to bring the lady back." Roffe says, still looking down.
"What? When did, no, where did she get them from? I said she's not allowed to leave the pack, didn't I?" I said, yelling.
"Leader, we did, but she used some spell on the border omega’s and they swore, they didn't see her leaving. It's like--"
"Rain of Illusions. She used the spell to leave. Okay, call Wulfric and let's go."
"Where Leader?" Roffe asks, confused.
"Where else? Ashstone Forest." I said in a frank voice.
As we arrived at the forest, the warriors came forward to stop us.
"What do you want here?"
"Go back, don't force us to use force on you."
"What's going on?" Liam says as he comes over.
"Liam, they're Demonbite omega's. We're stopping them from entering our home." A guardian said to the being.
"You're not a wolf? What?" I asked in a curious voice.
"I'm Liam, guardian vampire from Shadow Outlaws. Go call Dustin. He's the one who should decide." Liam said in a frank voice.
"Liam, you called?" Dustin says as he comes over. "Blake? What are you doing here?" Dustin asked in a curious voice.
"Dustin, I've been making sure Julia does not leave the Demonbite pack, but yesterday night, we failed. She not only escaped but took Jade Moss and Tiger Angelica along with her, and she's heading over to the altar for the offering. We have to stop her. She told, you have fast runners, can you--"
"Don't worry, the least she'll do is offer the Moon Goddess some incense. Those herbs have nothing in them that can make her immortal." Liam said in a frank voice.
"Liam, according to what she read in a scroll and what a witch told her, she has to mix the herbs in a clean healthy cycle and then mix the processed powder with water, making the tablets. Two tablets, and once she takes them--"
"She won't become immortal. At least those herbs will improve her vigor."
"How do you know?" I asked, confused.
"I'm a vampire and we're immortal. I'm more than five hundred years old. Trust me, when I say, 'I've seen plenty of beings wanting to become immortal." Liam said in a frank voice.
"But, we still have to get her back, so." I said, concerned.
"Blake, Julia is my sister and that fact will never change, even if she doesn't want to. Let's go and get her." Dustin said in a soft voice.
As we reached the altar, I ran over as Julia was laying on the floor unconscious.
Liam also came over as Dustin watched over. He took her hand and then checked her pulse.
"Jane! Quickly, go and tell Vernon and Owen, go and tell them to prepare poison removal, QUICK!" Liam said as he looked around, "Is there hot water around here?"
"Yes, over by the river, there's a spot with hot water flowing from the ground." Dusitn said pointing towards the river.
"Blake, quick, take her over there."
Everyone followed me as I took Julia in my arms over to the water.
"Blake, you'll have to place her in the water--"
"What?? That's boiling water!" I said frantically.
"Yes, now listen carefully. Place her in the water, the poison won't let her burn, but your arms and legs--"
"Don't worry about me." I said as I got into the water.
I bit back on the pain that was searing in my legs and arms as I slowly placed her in the water. Her skin color changed back to white, as she was blue a while ago.
"Okay, bring her out." I did as Liam said.
"Boys! Take her." As the vampire boys took hold of Julia from me, I fell.
"Don't worry Blake, me and Liam will take you back." Dustin said as they both held onto me and took me back to Ashstone Forest.
As soon as we came back, Vernon and Owen quickly came over. Owen quickly heated some pastes and then Vernon began to apply them on Julia's body.
At first Julia's breathing was heavy, but after a few hours, her breathing became normal.
In the meantime Owen began to deal with my burns. The pain was excruciating, but I tried to bear it as much as possible, I fainted at times, but came back again.
"Blake, after taking this medicine, you'll sleep for two days. It's important for you to rest." Owen said in a concerned voice.
"No, I won't take this until I know she's fine." I said as I could see Julia was still trembling."
"Vernon?" Owen asked, concerned.
"Just a little more, Blake, hang on." Vernon said as she began to apply the last paste on Julia's hands.
Slowly Julia's breathing became shallow, and she fell asleep, I also sighed in relief.
"Is she okay now? Is the poison removed?" I asked, concerned.
"Blake, she's clean now. Don't worry, now can you go to sleep? You need to rest badly." Owen said in a worried voice.
"I..." I suddenly began to feel pain in my legs. Seeing me, Owen also quickly checked. "Vernon, quick!"
As Vernon came over and checked, she said, "Oh no, his temperature is too low. That's why he's feeling more pain."
"What? But why?" Dustin asked, worriedly.
"The hot water plus the poison from Julia's body seeped in lowering his body temperature. Quickly, light a fire, and bring blankets, quilts, whatever!" Vernon said in a worried voice.
"Wait, Julia is fine." Jenna said as she came over. "We wolves are hot-blooded, these blankets, quilts, fire, they won't help. Let Julia sleep with Blake, his temperature will rise automatically."
"Oh, I totally forgot about that. We vampires use fire when our temperatures drop drastically." Vernon said as the girls helped Julia get in bed with Blake.
