Chapter 202

Chapter 202
“It must be Suelen Legrand, right? Only that woman could make these gangsters shut up instead of mentioning her name,” Lilian began to believe her own hunch.
Matthew was growing impatient with the humble gangster's silence. He walked over to pick up a dagger not far from them and approached the men next to him. The man who had lost three teeth looked at Matthew in horror, as if he saw him as a reaper.
Seeing the man's frightened expression made Matthew laugh inside.
“Okay, this is your last chance. If you don't reveal who sent you, I'm going to cut your little brother down there...” Matthew said as his eyes fixed on the thing between his legs. He enjoyed watching the man cover his groin with his hand and his face turn white as paper.
“Brother, please... Please... stop... You can beat me as much as you want, but don't cut off my goods...” he said with a trembling voice.
“So what are you waiting for? Speak now!” You just need to say one name, and I'll let you go...“ Matthew's voice suddenly stopped when a cold voice sounded behind him.
”Leave her alone, or I'll blow her head off!"
Matthew immediately turned his head and was shocked to see four men with auras similar to those of the three men he had hit, standing behind Lilian.
What shocked Matthew even more and made his body freeze immediately was that one of the men was standing a meter away from Lilian. He pointed a gun at the back of her head. While the other three men were standing not far from the shooter, they were all holding metal baseball bats tightly.
Matthew's hand tightened around the dagger. He turned his gaze back to Lilian to assess her condition. He could see her face harden and turn slightly pale, but the calm in her eyes surprised him. However, that calm lasted only a few seconds before turning into a worried and frightened expression.
“What to do?” Matthew tried to find a way to get them out of there without anyone getting hurt, especially Lilian.
He wouldn't be afraid if those men only had daggers or baseball bats. But a gun? He couldn't take that lightly. They could die if he made one wrong move.

“Damn it! Who the hell sent these people to capture Lilian? Joana? It must be her, right?”
Matthew smiled weakly at Lilian, trying to signal her to remain calm.
Matthew smiled weakly at Lilian, trying to signal her to remain calm.
Then he looked at the man pointing a gun at Lilian's head. The man's face looked fiercer than the three men he had beaten up before. He figured that this man was the leader of the gang.
He could see that there was a scar on his left eyebrow. When their eyes met, Matthew's heart sank; he saw the evil in his eyes.
Matthew is upset because his plan to bribe these gangsters to free them disappears when he sees that this man is not the kind of gangster who can be bribed.
“What do you want?” Matthew asked calmly, although inside he was beginning to worry about the situation. There was no way out but to fight. However, how could he fight the gunman?
An evil smile appeared at the corner of the shooter's lips before he said, “Throw away your dagger and put your hands behind your head.”
Matthew didn't dare refuse. He did it immediately. At the same time, his mind was busy looking for ways to counterattack and save Lilian. He walked casually toward the man, keeping his hands behind his head.
He needed to get closer to the sniper to find a chance to steal his gun; even if the chance was small, he had to try.
However, Mattew's plan was destroyed when the sniper saw his plan.
“Why the hell are you moving forward!? Stop and kneel down!” the sniper shouted angrily, seeing Mattew almost reach them.
His words almost made Matthew cough up a mouthful of blood. He couldn't believe the shooter was asking him to kneel. What the hell is this?
“You asked me to kneel before you?” Matthew repeated, glaring at the shooter.
“One more word from your useless mouth and Mrs. Arbex's head will explode.”
Matthew gritted his teeth as he vented his anger mentally. He didn't want to risk Lilian's life. Although reluctant, he knelt on the hard floor while his eyes stared at the sniper as if he wanted to slap him with his gaze.
The sniper laughed cheerfully when he saw that Matthew didn't react. The handsome man knelt obediently right after the request.
“Ha ha ha, I thought you were going to react. It turns out you were also scared by the pressure of my gun, right?” The sniper was satisfied.
"This handsome guy is so stupid. Do you think we're going to hurt her? Of course not. The person who paid us doesn't want her to get hurt... idiot!" said another man coldly, holding a baseball bat.
Mattew clenched his fists, feeling angry at the man's words. He was too worried and forgot about it. If he had kept walking before, he might have had a chance to steal the gun. Damn it!
He looks at the shooter again before asking: “Who sent you to capture my friend!?”
“Do you think I'm stupid enough to tell you?” The shooter chuckled softly. “Shut up before I send a bullet through your head,” he said in a cold tone.
Matthew sneered inwardly. He gritted his teeth, wanting to tear the human being in front of him apart. It was the first time anyone had insulted him, and he didn't have the strength to fight back. He was really angry.
He could only contain his anger, afraid that the man would shoot him. He turned to look at Lilian.
“Huh!? Why does she seem so relaxed?” Matthew muttered softly, surprised by Lilian's expression. He thought Lilian would be as scared as before or even cry. But the girl seemed calm, as if she wasn't afraid of someone pointing a gun at her head.
“Did Lilian believe that these people wouldn't hurt her?” Matthew wonders. When Lilian's eyes finally settle on him, he smiles at her, trying to calm her down before looking back at the gunman.
“Man, I understand that there's a rule in your organization that prohibits revealing the identity of those who pay you...” Matthew said calmly, suppressing his anger to persuade the man.
The gunman frowned, confused, upon hearing Matthew's words.
