Chapter 100

Chapter 100
Seeing that the man in front of him did not respond, the man continued whispering.

“I'm Joana Mercadante's manager.” He looked around, wary of the others who were listening. “Yes... That movie star, supermodel... You must know her, right?” He continued when he saw the surprised look on the man's face. “My client needs a coffee urgently because we have to go to our next destination. If you give me your seat, I'll give you a photo of her with her autograph!” declared the man proudly, waiting for the handsome man's response.

Mattew couldn't believe his luck was so terrible.

“Sir, please?” The man persisted with a pitiful look, but Mattew, feeling nauseous, ignored him and leaned closer to Lilian.

“What do you think? Should I give up my seat?”

Lilian didn't answer, and Matthew chuckled softly, knowing that Lilian must have heard Joana's name but was pretending not to care, and was probably annoyed as well.

“Sorry, my friend didn't agree, so...” Matthew shrugged.

Joana's manager was speechless. He couldn't believe that someone had refused an autograph from Joana Mercadante, because previously, he had avoided mentioning Joana's name when approaching people, fearing that someone might record a video or take a photo and share it on social media.
However, after trying to convince a few people, all to no avail, he felt he had no other option, and as he watched the two, who looked like ordinary, relatively young employees, he dared to offer them Joana's autograph. However, he also hadn't anticipated their refusal.

“You really didn't recognize my talent? Fine! You'll regret it, man... If we ever meet again and you ask, I won't give it to you!”

The manager stared at the man before turning to the woman in front of him, and when the manager noticed that the woman was ordering the same coffee Joana used to drink, a brilliant idea immediately occurred to him.

The manager cleared his throat as he smiled warmly at the woman.
“Miss... Hello...” The manager greeted Lilian cheerfully, and observing Lilian's striking features, including her flawless face and piercing gray eyes, he was shocked.

He couldn't help but think that this woman had the potential to be a movie star. The idea of recruiting her popped into his mind, but a second later, he dismissed the idea. There was an urgent matter he needed to take care of.

“Miss, I'll pay you triple the normal price for your coffee!” His tone sounded urgent, but he didn't stop smiling at her. However, Lilian just stared at him blankly. “How about four times? No!? All right... This is my final offer, five times... take it or leave it!”

Mattew was speechless upon hearing the words of that foolish manager. How dare he challenge Lilian's calmness?

Lilian narrowed her eyes at the manager, looking him up and down as if she was starting to remember his face in order to get revenge, and after a few seconds, she said nothing, just looked at Mattew and gestured for him to take the coffee. Then she walked away, leaving the manager staring at her in irritation.

“Miss, wait? What about our agreement...” He asked, still trying to be polite as he followed Lilian, although his patience was now at its limit.

“Forget it!” Lilian said coldly, without looking back.

The manager became even more irritated, and his explosive temper flared up as if someone were boiling water in his heart.

“Seriously... Who are you? Why are you so arrogant?” the manager shouted.

He was really angry that someone was threatening him so cruelly, ignoring him. It was the first time anyone had ignored him, even after he confessed that he was, in fact, Joana's manager. The coffee shop wasn't very big, so all the visitors could hear the manager's conversation with Lilian.

Everyone was surprised to hear the fat, annoying man raise his voice as if he had just scolded someone, and now they all stared at him with looks of disdain. Then they turned to Lilian and saw her stop before reaching the door.

Immediately, a small conversation could be heard among the café visitors.

“Look, that woman was about to lose her temper just now.”

Now all eyes were on Lilian, and before long, someone was surprised to see her beauty.

“You know what? That's the first time I've seen that woman in this building. And she's beautiful...” someone whispered to her friends.

They couldn't take their eyes off Lilian, staring at her long, golden, wavy hair that fell down her back. They looked at her simple outfit, a black turtleneck and knee-length skirt. A long gray suit hung on her arm, and her purse was hidden under the long suit.

Suddenly, they were shocked, staring intently at her bag, and Lilian laughed softly, listening to the whole conversation. Even though they were speaking quietly, she could still hear them.

“Do you want to know my name?”

“Yes!” he shouted, irritated.

The manager had a plan to teach this woman a lesson. He would ask Joana to speak to a superior and have her fired. How dare she not spare anything for Joana Mercadante? Even though he had already said that, he would pay five times the average price for her coffee.

A slight smile slowly appeared on Lilian's lips before she spoke.

“I am God!” Upon hearing Lilian's response, Matthew almost spat out the coffee he had just drunk, but not only was Matthew surprised, Joana Mercadante's manager was also completely shocked.

He couldn't believe that woman, so brazen as to call herself God.
That woman was bizarre, and how could she randomly say that her name was God? He would believe her if she said she was a goddess. But God?

“You're joking, right?”

“No.”

“What the fuck is this!” The manager couldn't hold back the profanity. “I'm sorry... Well... Can you tell me your last name?” He continued, trying to believe that some crazy parents had given their child a strange name like God.

“I don't have a last name. My name is God!” Lilian said, holding back her laughter. She left immediately, without giving the man a chance to speak.

The manager was really angry and couldn't help swearing.

He kept staring at Lilian's back, trying to figure out her real name, and still couldn't believe her name, my God. Impossible! The woman just wanted to play a prank on him, right?

After a few seconds lost in thought, something occurred to him, and he remembered the security cameras. All he had to do was call the head of security and ask him to check the woman's identity.

He was grateful to know the head of security in this building because he always helped him deal with Joana's fans who came to the place, and a smile appeared on his face when he picked up his cell phone to make a call.

However, before dialing the security chief's number, he stopped when someone put their arm around his shoulder, and when he turned around, he found God's handsome friend smiling at him, carrying two coffees.
