Chapter 100 Chapter 100

Chapter 100 Chapter 100
From the coffee shop, they went to Tony’s apartment. The room lights flickered on, revealing a living space that was undeniably masculine but somewhat cluttered.

Adele walked in, observing every corner, from the stack of unfinished books to the sports gear strewn about, and then she pouted teasingly. "Your house is so messy, don't you clean up. I am the first girl to enter your room, right?"

Tony scratched his head, his face turning red with embarrassment. "Well… my grandmother occasionally comes to help me clean. I don't really have anything here, so it's quite embarrassing. I'm going to the convenience store to buy some snacks and drinks. Do you want to buy anything else?"

Tony intended to turn away to relieve the growing tension, but Adele’s voice from behind him froze his every movement. Her tone was incredibly firm, as if she were gambling her entire heart on this moment. "I want to… spend the night here with you, can I?"

Tony’s eyes widened in shock. He stood rooted to the spot, his heart pounding as if it wanted to jump out of his chest. In the silent room, there was only the ticking of the clock and their breathing. He didn't know what to say and didn't dare turn around to look into eyes that held an entire world of sorrow.

He wondered what had made a girl as proud as Adele make such a passionate request. Was she hiding a secret that could permanently change both of their lives?

Tony sat on the edge of the bed, facing Adele. "Do we really have to do this. Will you regret it?"

Adele did not avoid his gaze. "If I were going to regret it, I wouldn't have come to your house. I came here not because of an impulse, but because I want to etch you deep into my bones."

Tony reached out to gently touch her burning cheek. "No, you are shaking, and your face is flushed. Your body is saying that you are scared, Adele."

"But I really want to do this with you," Adele insisted.

Tony stood up and paced around the room a few times as if to restrain his own instincts, then turned to look at her, his expression confused. "Why. Adele, I really don't understand. Is this the memory you were so anxious to create? Why does everything today have to happen so hastily, as if the world is going to end tomorrow?"

"I truly want this," Adele bowed her head, her hand clenching the bedsheet.

"Stop it," Tony snapped gently. He didn't want to see her lose herself for some vague reason.

Overwhelmed with disappointment, Adele uttered bitter words. "You don't want to do this with me, so why do you love me? Is love without the desire to completely belong to each other really love, or is it just distant worship?"

Tony sat down beside her, taking her hand gently. "I… Adele, my love for you is real. But we are still in school, we are still students, and we aren't married. I cherish you, so I don't want to do this with my girlfriend when everything isn't ready yet. I want to save the best for the moment when we truly legitimately belong to each other."

Adele looked at him, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes. His kindness at this moment was the very blade cutting into her heart, because she knew clearly that the "legitimate way" he spoke of might never come. She smiled sadly. "Tony, I know you are a good guy. Alright, I won't force you anymore."

"You, you really can say anything," Tony sighed with relief, stroking her hair and thinking the storm had passed.

Adele’s phone rang repeatedly on the table. The screen displayed the word "Father." The faint blue light from the phone was a cold reminder of the emigration trip that had already been decided. Adele stared at the screen, her face becoming expressionless, and then she turned the phone off.

Tony noticed the anomaly and asked anxiously, "Adele, who is calling you. Why aren't you answering? Is something happening? Let's talk about it; we can solve any problem together."

Tony’s concern was the final straw, breaking all of Adele’s remaining restraint. She sprang up, tears streaming down her face, and shouted in extreme despair. "My problem isn't easy to solve. My problem is that my boyfriend doesn't like me at all, doesn't want to hold onto me, and doesn't want to walk to the end with me."

Tony was stunned by Adele’s outburst. He didn't understand why his refusal—born out of respect—had turned into evidence that he "didn't like her." In that moment, he had no idea that Adele was screaming and crying because she only had a few short days left to be with him; she wanted to give herself to him to hold onto a love that was about to shatter.

Chapter 59: The Final Blessing

Tony suddenly stepped forward and placed his hand over her mouth. "Speak softly."

Adele pushed his hand away, her tear-filled eyes fixed on him as she questioned, "Am I not sexy enough, not attractive to you. Is it because I lack charm that you are pushing me so far away?"

Tony let out a sharp breath. He gripped her shoulders, shaking her slightly as if to wake a girl lost in her own insecurities. "You must not say such things. Adele, you must understand that no matter how good a man is, he still has instinctual desires. I am a man, and I love you; how could I be indifferent to the person I love? So do not tempt me any further, because a man’s endurance has limits. If you continue to act this way, I am not sure I can remain rational enough to cherish you the way I want to."

Tony hesitated for a moment, glanced at his watch, and then softened his tone. "It is late. Let us sleep. Tonight we will sleep together right here. Just sleep, all right."

Adele fell silent. She climbed onto the bed and nestled into Tony’s arms. The warmth from his chest helped soothe her bleeding heart. In the dim darkness, she whispered, her voice as quiet as a kitten. "Could you tell me a story?"

Tony laughed and wrapped his arms tighter around her. "But what story should I tell. I am not very good at fairy tales."

"Just tell me the endings," Adele said, her voice heavy with sorrow. "How did Snow White and the Prince end?"

"After the Prince rescued Snow White, they lived happily ever after."

"And what about Sleeping Beauty?"

"The Prince kissed the sleeping Princess, which woke her up, and then they also lived happily ever after."

"And Cinderella."
