Chapter 263 Burning Desire
Chapter 263 Burning Desire
"Didn't I already tell you? I'm bringing your daughter to see you." Alice waved her hand, and Samara was quickly taken away.
Sidney glanced at the time. "Let's go to your company this afternoon to sign the contract. It's been dragging on long enough."
Alice waved her phone in front of him.
"Good, I need to go back to the office this afternoon anyway. I'm a rich woman now. Robert and Stella just transferred the money."
A smile spread across Sidney's face. "Not bad. I'd say they've just about emptied their little private stash this time."
He leaned closer to Alice, about to continue speaking, when he failed to notice that Alice had spotted Michael standing at the door. The words caught in his throat.
With her back to the door, Alice only saw Sidney's expression turn strange. "What's wrong? Is your hand starting to hurt?"
Sidney blinked frantically at her, trying to make her notice the person at the door. Alice touched his hand. "Does it hurt that bad? You can't even control your expression."
Sidney closed his eyes, unwilling to look at the door anymore. "Alice, maybe you should turn around."
Alice turned with confusion, meeting Michael's eyes directly.
Those eyes held obvious anger and a hint of displeasure. He watched her in silence, and that quiet stare made her very uncomfortable.
Alice knew she was in the wrong. She had promised Michael she wouldn't act alone anymore, that she'd tell him beforehand wherever she went.
But this time, she thought it was just a small matter, and assuming he was busy with work, she hadn't told him.
She never expected Michael would track her all the way here.
Sidney sensed the awkward atmosphere and coughed lightly.
"Alice, let's move our thing to tomorrow. You handle your business first. I'm leaving."
Alice looked at him resentfully, grabbing Sidney and saying through gritted teeth, "Where are you going? Didn't we agree to have lunch together?"
"I suddenly feel kind of full. Oh, and my hand hurts."
At that, Alice immediately let go of his arm.
Sidney seized the opportunity to slip away, turning back to give her a "you're on your own" look before leaving.
Alice turned back to Michael.
She walked toward him step by step, trying to act like nothing had happened.
Michael grabbed her hand, his voice low and cold. "Where do you think you're going?"
Alice's confidence clearly wavered, her tone softening.
"Things are finished here. I was planning to go back and rest. Michael, are you coming too?"
"Let's go. I'll take you to rest."
Michael pulled her along, half guiding, half dragging her into the car. "Back to the Royal Court."
Alice tried to break free. "Michael, I'm going back to the Hall mansion." Something about that destination felt wrong to her. Her instinct told her she should return to the Hall mansion.
Michael's reaction wasn't like before, when he'd easily give in once she acted sweet.
"I'm keeping you right by my side where I can watch you. Alice, if you won't take care of your own body, then I'll do it for you."
His tone left no room for discussion as he forcefully decided where Alice would go.
Alice knew he was still angry, so she figured she'd wait until he cooled down to find a chance to go back.
The whole ride was quiet. Neither spoke.
Alice felt the silence was suffocating and reached out to poke Michael's arm.
"Michael, stop being angry."
Michael's heart stirred slightly, but he deliberately didn't respond.
Alice lightly tapped her fingertip on the back of his hand. "I was fully prepared before I went. Look, I don't have a single injury."
Michael remained silent, even pulling his hand back and turning his head toward the window.
Alice sighed helplessly. Michael was really angry, and he was hard to appease at times like this.
She softened her voice, leaning over to look at him, her face showing a slight smile and a pleading expression. "I was wrong."
Michael couldn't hold back anymore. He turned around and saw Alice's soft, pink lips, her cupid's bow trembling slightly as she spoke. The sight made his heart tighten.
He grabbed her hand, leaning forward until their foreheads touched, his voice carrying suppressed breathing.
"Don't look at me with that expression. Alice, you know what I'm thinking right now."
Alice could feel his burning breath falling on her face. She tried to move but couldn't break free from his grip.
"Don't move. Your body hasn't fully recovered yet."
Alice's ears quickly turned red. She clearly felt the man's physical reaction, and her own breathing began to heat up.
"Michael, I..."
"Don't you want this? Alice, as long as you're unwilling, I'll stop right now."
Michael forcibly suppressed his physical reaction, restraining the urge to want more, but his eyes were clearly full of possessiveness, and his grip didn't loosen.
Alice looked at him, her mind flashing through everything Michael had done for her during this time.
She raised her hand to his chest, feeling that heart beating fast and hard.
Her gaze moved down from his eyes, past his thick, curled lashes, finally stopping at his lips. She unconsciously swallowed.
Michael laughed softly. Their breathing gradually intertwined, the distance between them slowly closing.
The moment their breaths merged, their lips finally met.
Michael held the back of her head, pulling them closer. The kiss started gentle and patient, then became increasingly forceful, carrying obvious possession and demand.
Michael patiently guided her, releasing slightly each time she was about to run out of breath.
Alice pressed her hands against his chest. "Enough... Michael, we're still outside."
Michael's eyes were dark with desire. His breathing was rapid as he held Alice, but he couldn't control the smile spreading across his face.
"Then let's go back."
The car soon arrived at the Royal Court.
Just as Alice was about to get out, Michael stopped her, scooping her up and carrying her into the villa, all the way upstairs to the second floor master bedroom.
She felt her body sink into the soft mattress. Looking up at her surroundings, she immediately understood Michael's intention.
"Michael, didn't you say I needed to rest properly? What are you trying to do now?"
Michael's lips fell on her neck, his teeth lightly grazing her collarbone. "You don't need to exert yourself. Just leave it to me."
His hand carefully protected her injured leg as burning kisses slowly fell on her chest.
One large hand covered her breast, gently kneading and coaxing.
Alice couldn't suppress the sounds she made, still remembering to worry about her leg. "Don't do this, Michael. I don't want to be sent to the hospital again because of this. That would be embarrassing."
Michael looked up, the desire in his eyes like fire, almost burning through her.
"You won't. Be good, listen to me."
Michael's slightly calloused fingertips slid down from her chest, exploring into her lower abdomen. His fingers felt their way to slide into her opening, teasing slowly inside.
Before long, Alice could barely hold on.
Her breathing became heavy, her fingers gripping Michael's back, her eyes covered with a layer of moisture.
"Michael..."
The next second, they switched positions, with Alice straddling Michael's waist.
Michael lay back on the bed, one hand steadily supporting her leg, making sure her injury wouldn't bear any weight.
Alice clearly felt Michael's hot and hard presence, a wave of instinctive fear rising in her heart.
After all, last time even though he'd been drugged, the next day she could barely get out of bed.
"Michael, I... maybe another day?"
Michael had no intention of giving her an escape route. He gripped her waist firmly. "A bit late to say you're scared now, isn't it? You've already come this far. There's no escape. I'll do the moving, you just enjoy yourself."
