Chapter 7
Nathan slowly turned his head—and froze.
Standing behind him was my father.
And the murderous glint in my father’s eyes made Nathan’s blood run cold.
Nathan looked at me with confusion. “Who the hell are you?”
My father shook his head. “You don’t need to know who I am. You just need to know that today,
I’m here to take your life.”
In a blink of an eye, my father swiftly grabbed Nathan by the neck.
Nathan gasped for air, his face turning beet red as he trembled.
Nathan quickly tried to pry my father’s hand off his arm, but it was useless. My father’s grip was unmovable, a result of years of brutal training.
Tessa reacted fast, rushing at my father, trying to kick him with her high heels, but my father countered with a powerful kick and slapped her across the face.
Tessa staggered back, incredulous, then pointed at my father, shouting, “Who the hell do think you are? How dare you hit me? Do you know who I am?”

“I’m Nathan Carter’s fiancée, the future Mrs. Carter, the future lady of the Carter Group! A pathetic old man like you? I could crush you under my foot in a heartbeat.”
“I’ll give you ten seconds. Get on your knees and apologize to me. If you don’t, I’ll have your
entire family killed.”
Tessa stood arrogantly, crossing her arms, imagining the scene of my father groveling before her.
But she was wrong.
My father, with one swift motion, grabbed her by the chin, squeezing it tight.
“Tessa Monroe? You’re the little tramp who tried to ruin Vivian’s marriage.”
Tessa’s eyes went wide with disbelief, her defiance still lingering in her voice.
“She’s just a worthless woman, and I’m carrying the Carter family’s heir. You dare lay a hand on me, you old bastard, watch out…‘

The next second, a loud crack echoed as Tessa’s jaw dislocated. She couldn’t speak, her mouth hanging open as saliva dripped from it.
She looked like she had permanent facial paralysis.
“What’s the point of having a mouth if you can’t even speak properly?”
When Nathan saw my father’s iron grip, he no longer dared to stand his ground.
With his face turning red, he managed to squeeze out a few words, trembling.
“Whatever it is… let’s talk this out…”
Before he could finish, my father let him go. Nathan collapsed to the floor, gasping for air, but he
didn’t dare take a moment’s rest. He immediately dropped to his knees, shaking.
“Where did I or Nathan go wrong? Just let us know, we’ll make it right.”
“As long as I can give you something, anything, I’ll do it.”
Nathan still didn’t realize the gravity of the situation. He had no idea who he was dealing with.
Tessa had assumed that Carter family’s power would intimidate my father, but he wasn’t even
remotely fazed. It was clear that the Carter family didn’t even register in his world.
Nathan, now realizing his mistake, understood that the Carter family was no match for my father.
His only option was to beg for
mercy.
My father calmly wiped his hands with a handkerchief as if he had just touched something
unpleasant.
“It’s not a big deal. Just pay with your family’s lives.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, Nathan’s face turned pale, and he collapsed, unable to stay upright.
My father raised his fists, delivering blow after blow to Nathan’s head, each punch with full force.
“First, you dare betray Vivian and tomorrow, you and your whole family will disappear from this city, turned to dust.”
“Second, you dared to leave Vivian in a sauna at 250°F, almost killing her. For that, even in death,
you won’t escape my wrath.”

“Third, it’s not enough that you’ve harmed my daughter, but you also tried to hurt my
granddaughter. Vivian is my foundation, and Lily is my everything. If you touch my everything, you’re asking for trouble. Don’t tell me you didn’t do anything—standing by and letting it happen makes you just as guilty!”
Ten punches later, Nathan could barely breathe, sprawled on the ground, still trembling and begging for mercy.
“You’ve had your fun, haven’t you? Can you please spare my family?”
“I’ll take the punishment, but leave my family out of it.”
As he crawled toward my father, his voice trembled with fear.
“It was my mistake, but don’t hurt my family.”
I couldn’t be bothered to respond. My father was about to speak, but he noticed the severe burns on my body.
He spoke softly, “Oh, of course, but I have one condition.”
Nathan looked up, his face twisted in confusion. He tried to smile, but his expression froze as he
heard my father’s words.
“Vivian needs skin grafts. The doctors said human skin works well for grafts.”
“Women’s skin works even better.”
