Chapter 73 CHAPTER SEVENTY-THREE.

Chapter 73 CHAPTER SEVENTY-THREE.
"Julian..." Brianna groaned under her breath.

"And how was it?" Elizabeth looked tickled. "The bed I mean."

Julian deliberately ran his eyes slowly over Brianna, seductively licked his lips, and then looked at Elizabeth from beneath his lashes. "What do you think?" His husky drawl drew an uncontrollable moan from Brianna.
"Orgasmic." Elizabeth burst into laughter.

"Listen, I'm sorry about that." Brianna murmured as she threw Julian a withering look.

"Oh, you don't have to be." Elizabeth laughed. "I’m used to people wanting to really check a house before they buy. Some people even check out the walls, if you know what I mean."

"Well, who said we didn't." Julian chuckled.

"Will you shut up, Julian." Brianna growled, giving Elizabeth an apologetic look.

"Aw don't worry, it's obvious Dr. Broody was the one who wanted to do all the checking." She gave Julian a wink.

"If only she knew." Julian muttered. Aloud, he asked..."When can we move in?"

"It's already yours." She informed them. "You can move in anytime. Even today."

"Good." Brianna nodded. "I suppose you've called Saul?" She dialed Saul's number.

"I have, Lt. Jackson." Elizabeth pushed some documents towards Brianna. "If you could just read these, sign them and let me have them by tomorrow..."

"Has Saul read it?" Brianna asked just as Saul picked up. "Is everything good?" She asked without preamble.

"Yes." Saul chuckled.

"Good. I'm signing the documents now." Brianna said as she signed. "How's it going with the search for housekeeper?"

"We've already screened seven candidates and picked out the best three." Saul informed Brianna. "Yolanda will interview the three tomorrow morning and make her pick."

"Great. I can have a chat with whoever she settles on before we leave tomorrow." Brianna gave the signed documents back to Elizabeth. "Thank you, Saul."

"Anytime, Brianna"

"It was nice doing business with you, Elizabeth." Brianna shook the hand of Elizabeth.

"Same here, Lt.."

"Under the circumstances, I think just Brianna would do just fine." Brianna chuckled, making Elizabeth laugh.

Julian chose to kiss Elizabeth on both cheeks, making her have a full-body blush. "We will get in touch anytime we need a house." He drawled, making Brianna snort with amusement.

"It's been a good day." Julian murmured as he relaxed in the passenger seat.

"Thank you, baby." Brianna murmured, reaching out to grab Julian's hand. "I wouldn't have been able to go through all this without you."

"You're stronger than you think, Brianna." Julian turned his head to watch Brianna drive. "But since you're feeling thankful and all, you can show me just how much, when we land on Quain Islands tomorrow. God, I'm going to fuck you until you can't even stand." He murmured huskily. "That sweet heat of yours...I'm going to tongue it until you drool, finger it until you scream, and dick it so good you're going to pass out."

"Shit.." Brianna snatched back her hand and adjusted her arousal. "Will you please stop talking like that?" She groaned.

Julian's eyes dropped to the way Brianna's thighs shifted. "Hmm...I like this." He murmured, reaching out to caress Brianna through her pants.

"Julian, please..."

"Just reduce your speed, Brianna." Julian gently scratched the fabric over her center. "You'll be fine."

Brianna couldn't help her moans. But for the fact that she'd cum before they'd left the new house, she would have come and soiled her pants. Julian drove her crazy and she loved it...and the man himself, to bits.

Dinner that evening with Yolanda was fun and absolutely lovely. They'd chosen a posh restaurant that offered both good live music and superlative food. After some good food and some good booze, the two took turns dancing with Yolanda. They had a good time. Yolanda couldn't stop talking about her new laptop. It had been delivered to her at some point that day, with her personal instructor.

She was a happy woman. All three felt so free and open, Brianna decided to ask a question that had been on her mind since that morning.

"So...Ma, what's the story with Saul?" Brianna heard Julian's groan beside her but ignored it. They hadn't voiced out their suspicions to each other but from Julian's groan, Brianna could tell he'd also had the same thoughts as she.

Yolanda's expression didn't change. "He's a widower. Been for years. Even before your father died."

"I see." Brianna stared intently at her mother. "And are you two..."

"I’ve known for years that Saul would have loved to be with me." She said softly. "But I haven't been in the right frame of mind, my daughter. So I've always discouraged him." She shrugged prettily.

"And now?" Brianna probed.

"I got my daughter back just two days ago, Brianna." Yolanda said quietly. "Allow me to savour that. I can't plunge into anything else now."

"Why not?" Julian asked.

"Well, let me put it this way. The doom that has been hanging over my head for years has suddenly disappeared. My world feels different now..it feels amazing again. It almost feels as if I'm walking on the clouds. If I'm not careful, my happiness will blind me and make me do something that I'm not ready for. Do you get me?"

"I do." Brianna reached for her mother's hand. "But you need to live again, Ma. You said yourself that Saul is a good person."

"I did, didn't I?" Yolanda smiled. "But isn't there a law against a lawyer and his client having a relationship?" She tilted her head and gave the two a thoughtful look.

"Actually the law says a lawyer shall not have sexual relations with a client unless a consensual sexual relationship existed between them when the client-lawyer relationship commenced." Julian said. At Brianna's raised brow, Julian grinned. "Kayla is a lawyer. I used to help her study." He shrugged.

"In other words, you can take your lover as a client, but you can't take your client as a lover." Yolanda said.

"You're right, Ma." Brianna nodded. "But from the documents Saul took us through today, he's my lawyer...not yours."

"Take that!" Julian gave a fist pump, making both Brianna and Yolanda burst into laughter.

"So you can't use that as an excuse." Brianna grinned. "I just want you to be happy, Ma. You've been alone for a long time. It's about time you let yourself go and enjoy some companionship. Just think about it. Okay?"

"Okay." Yolanda nodded.

Brianna and Julian only took Yolanda home when they noticed how tired she was. With a promise to pass by for a late breakfast and meet Yolanda's pick of a housekeeper, the two went back to their hotel and fell into bed. They were too tired to even open Brianna's presents.

"We will open them when we get to the Island." Brianna murmured sleepily as she snuggled closer to Julian.

"Good night, baby."

"Sweet dreams.”
