Chapter 168 – Stubborn Professor
"In my office. You will wait for me until I finish my class and we will talk about your sudden outbursts of disrespect,"
"Yes, Professor," Sasa said as she slinked away like a guilty puppy.
Once in his office, Sasa got the overwhelming feeling to be ornery. He hadn't smelled like another woman today, just a touch of mead. That had been the only that shut her down last time. She locked the other door to his office so no one would walk in. Sitting on his desk Sasa took off her underwear and hid them in his desk drawer, she'd pick them up later. Next, she took off her top and bra. Then she debated about leaving the top off. Instead, she put it back on but unbuttoned it down past her chest so her bad shoulder was still covered, but her chest was seductively visible. Fretting with her hair she wasn't sure if she wanted it up or down, lose or pulled back, untouched or pulled over her shoulder. The door mechanism clicked as the handle turned and Sasa settled with pulled over her shoulder so Fenris's favorite side of her neck was open to him to do what he wished with.
"Onisagira, what are you doing?" Fenris asked as he walked in and shut the door.
Sasa smiled as she heard his blood quicken. He found her attractive. Rubbing her own neck Sasa then let her hand slide down her chest, knocking her shirt off her shoulder exposing more skin, "I'm waiting to speak with you about my behavior, Professor Dragonheart. I also wanted to apologize for the other night,"
Fenris took a few steps closer to her, "What about the other night?"
"You had just startled me, but I haven't been able to stop thinking of you since that night," Sasa said as she reached forward and grabbed one of his soft warm hands. Her fangs ached as she felt and heard his blood under the skin. Lying her face in the cup of his hand Sasa looked up at him pleadingly. "Take me Fenris, please. I beg you and I don't beg very often, not even to you,"
Fenris frowned as he stepped back, reclaiming his hand and quietly observed, "I don't think you have ever said my first name before. Why now?"
"I thought if I could refrain from saying your name, I could convince myself I don't want you, but I do," Sasa whimpered as she shamelessly grabbed for his other hand and stick it up her skirt.
writing systems. I just thought it would be a fun way to pass time,"
"Then why study them here? You aren’t a natural citizen and therefore have to pay for these classes,"
"I heard you were one of the best professors. I wanted to see if you knew anything about the runes and sagas that I wasn’t already taught by my family. And I may not be a legal citizen, but my ancestry is from Norway. My grandmother was Norwegian,"
"Then you will just have to prove whether or not you need to be in my class then," Fenris said as he walked over to a cabinet and pulled out a thick stack of papers. "This is the full course finale. If you can achieve a passing grade then you can sleep in class and I’ll look the other way,"
Sasa popped off the desk and took the test, "Thank you, I’ll do my best,"
Sitting down in his desk chair Sasa started to fill out the test. Fenris leaned into the desk and watched her for any cheating. Hiding a smile as she worked, she did catch him more than once looking down her blouse. That only encouraged her to work harder to try and impress him. It only took about an hour for her to complete the test, and then pass it over to Fenris. Fenris looked it over with a critical eye. The whole time sasa stared up at him with pleading that she answered correctly.
"Your spelling is horrible," Fenris finally said as he reached for the dreaded red grading pen.
"I know, I’m sorry. I get my words and letters mixed up. I don’t mean to, it just happens," Sasa defended herself.
"I am aware, which is why I am not grading your spelling," Fenris said seriously as he wrote a passing grade on the front cover of the test packet. "You may now sleep in my class without getting reprimanded for it,"
"What about the other things I tried to do?" Sasa teased as she reached out for his hand and tried to guide it under her skirt.
"I have another appointment I am now late for," Fenris said as he pulled his hand back. "You are welcome to join me if you wish,"
"Yes," Sasa said excitedly as she opened his desk drawer and retrieved her underwear to put back on.
"I wish you wouldn’t place your clothing in my desk," Fenris scolded as he turned away as she put them back on.
"Well, I was planning on pleasuring you into a puddle and sneak back in and get them before anyone knew they were there. But if we’re going out, I need to be decent, don’t I?"
"And dressed warmer. It is still summer, but it still gets chilly when the sun flirts along the horizon,"
"My coat is just in the classroom," Sasa said as she walked back into the class room and over to her seat to retrieve her green coat.
Fenris nodded and led her out the door and to the faculty parking lot.
"Did you drive to work, or walk," Fenris asked.
"I walked," Sasa admitted.
"Alright, then I will drive," Fenris said as he opened the door for her.
Sasa got in and laid back in the seat. Fenris’s scent washed over her as the car door shut behind her. Almost immediately she relaxed and almost fell back asleep as the soft rays of the evening sun soaked into her from the car windows.
"Do you have trouble sleeping?" Fenris asked lightly as he looked over as he drove and saw her dozing.
"I am a night owl," Sasa teased. "Also, a bit of a kitty. The sun just makes me sleepy. If we talk, I’ll stay awake easier. So where are we going?"
"I told you, to an appointment," Fenris said in his stoic tone Sasa knew was actually his tone of mischief. "Also, another test for you,"
"Mmmm, so many tests," Sasa teased.
Sasa wove her fingers with his on the stick shift. Even just holding his hand made her feel happier and more complete than she had in ages. Holding his hand made it impossible to fight the heaviness of the sun and she drifted back to sleep while he drove.
The feeling of his hand leaving hers made her wake. She looked around frightened to see her mate looking at her quizzically. She smiled and caressed his face, kissing him deeply.
"Sorry I dozed again; the sunshine really does makes me sleepy," Sasa admitted.
"Is that why you've been sleeping in my class?" Fenris asked as he ran his fingers threw her hair.
"Uh-huh, and your voice is so soothing. As soothing as it is sexy," Sasa said with a nervous smile as she kissed his neck where she liked to bite. Out of his own instinct he tilted his head back for her. Every fiber of Sasa's being ached to sink her fangs into the soft, warm, blood-filled flesh, but she didn't. She rubbed her fangs against his throat, and then just kissed him again. "So, where are we, Professor Dragonheart?"
"One of my favorite places," Fenris said as he helped her out of the car.
Sasa looked around and saw an axe throwing establishment. One he frequented. Sasa noticed he seemed to spend more time here than anywhere else, outside of school. Everyone greeted him happily as he entered and he just casually walked over to the axe throwing as if he owned the joint. Servers bringing him mead and food without him even ordering anything. Giggling inward, Sasa knew exactly what this was. Fenris had set up what his expectations were, paid well, treated the staff well, and got what he needed. This part of him hadn’t changed.
"Seems you come here quite often," Sasa teased as a mug of mead was brought to her as well.
"I do. There is something about this place that settles my soul," Fenris admitted before picking up another axe. "Now, you are so familiar with your runes, how much more do you know?"
Sasa gave him her confidant, flirtatious smile as she picked up an ax and tossed it into the bullseye without even looking at it.
"My friend Marith may never make the shield maiden out of me that she wants to, but I know a thing or two," Sasa bragged.
"Ah, now there is an old name I haven’t heard in a while," Fenris chuckled. "Well, then want to make a contest of it?"
"What, to see who can throw the better axe?"
"No one can best me," Fenris bragged.
"Maybe I could," Sasa offered, trying to hold back her competitiveness.
"I don’t think you could," Fenris prodded with a smirk.
Sasa glared at him playfully, "Keep that up and I’ll have to beat you,"
"That’s exactly what I want," Fenris said as he tossed another two axes, hitting the bullseyes’ on two different targets. "It wouldn’t be any fun if you didn’t try,"
"Fine," Sasa said as she took the bait and matched his throws. "Just remember when I win, you asked for it,"
For a good part of the night, they ate, drank, and threw axes with precision. Fenris was only wining because he could always hit a perfect bullseye. Sasa would be off at times just because that was just how she was. After several really close throws Fenris finished his mead and grabbed an axe, walking to the opposite end of the throwing hall.
"Try this one, valp," Fenris said as he threw the axe into the furthest bullseye with his back turned to the target.
Sasa immediately started trying to mentally measure the angle and trajectories needed to pull off that kind of throw. It was one of the few times she was glad she excelled at geometry, even if the other maths escaped her.
Fenris chuckled as he started on a new mug. "You couldn’t do this throw under pressure, could you?"
"Depends on the type of pressure," Sasa answered flatly as she measured her steps as she allowed her vampire mind to keep calculating.
"The kind where you’re in the heat of battle. You are surrounded by Englishmen, one axe is engaged with the one in front of you, a second is coming up behind you and the only way to survive is to throw the axe. You can’t look away either, or the one in front of you will send you off to Valhalla sooner than you planned,"
Sasa smirked, "I thought it was foolish to plan when you enter Valhalla. That is fated and your gods will take you exactly when planned and not a moment sooner,"
"Bah, you know what I mean, girl,"
