Say Goodbye
Kenneth approached Oscar after Kenneth finished talking to Sheina. “Kenneth, I need you to find a new apartment for Sheina. Make sure you install proper heating in the apartment with a comfortable interior.”
Oscar frowned at Kenneth's sudden command. "Are you planning on moving house with Sheina, sir?"
“Only Sheina left.”
"I do not understand what you mean." Oscar said honestly. “Isn't Sheina's current room decent enough? You have renovated according to his needs.”
“I decided to end the deal with Sheina. She doesn't need to work for me to pay off her debt.”
Niko and Oscar didn't expect Kenneth's sudden decision. “What about Sheina's influence on your strength, sir? didn't Sheina's aura affect you all along?”
“Don't underestimate me, Oscar! I don't need Sheina. For several centuries, I managed to survive and even get the nickname of the strongest without Sheina near me.” Kenneth tries to be hypocritical with the facts. Even though Sheina is increasingly complementing Kenneth's strength.
"Are you sure, sir?" Oscar still wants to keep Sheina. Oscar thinks Kenneth still needs Sheina. Oscar could see Sheina's positive influence on Kenneth even though Sheina didn't do anything to Kenneth. “I mean, Sheina was once targeted by George and his group. Isn't it dangerous for Sheina to stay away from you? Their chances of kidnapping Sheina must be more.”
“Sheina is dangerous when she is around me. They used Sheina to destroy me. When I broke off my relationship with Sheina, they had no more business with Sheina.”
"Sir, I think you need to reconsider."
"enough!" Kenneth didn't let Oscar say any more. "Hurry up and do what I tell you! You have no right to control my decisions."
"I'm sorry, sir." Oscar immediately realized his mistake. He didn't protest any more. Oscar immediately carried out Kenneth's order.
"I have another task for you, Niko!" Kenneth turned to his other bodyguards. "I want you to look for two guard werewolves disguised as maids at Sheina's apartment in anticipation of an attack by my enemy."
"I understand, sir." Niko also left Kenneth's presence after receiving orders. Oscar was still waiting for Niko, walking hand in hand while discussing Kenneth's decision.
"I still don't understand boss Kenneth's hasty decision. I know he really cares about Sheina. He can't possibly throw Sheina away so quickly." Oscar expresses his anxiety to Niko.
"Mr. Kenneth must have been influenced by what the Moon Goddess said at the meeting last night." Niko tried to analyze. "I agree with Mr. Kenneth's decision to release Sheina. I know Sheina has influenced Mr. Kenneth but indirectly Sheina's presence makes Mr. Kenneth forget his duty to find a Luna. We need a queen who helps Mr. Kenneth's government. You can't dismiss it Oscar."
Oscar and Niko have a different perspective. Niko is more rigid with Kenneth's duties and responsibilities. While Oscar prioritizes Kenneth's happiness and anything that can make his boss comfortable. The two of them both had good goals for Kenneth.
Oscar exhaled. He really understood what Nico was saying. He couldn't deny it. Oscar did realize they were incomplete without Luna. Apart from that, they also need a 'crown prince' for the continuation of the clan. It's just that Oscar doesn't really like Kenneth getting married just to fulfill his responsibilities as Alpha. Oscar wants Kenneth to marry the girl Kenneth loves.

It didn't take long for Sheina to pack up all of her belongings in Kenneth's apartment. The woman had not lived there long. Moreover, she has no valuables. Sheina only packed three dresses. Oscar was also able to easily find a suitable residence for Sheina. In the afternoon, Sheina was ready to leave Kenneth's apartment. Oscar is in charge of escorting Sheina to her new residence.
"Where's Mr. Kenneth? I wanted to say goodbye to him before I left."
Oscar shook his head. "Mr. Kenneth is still in the office. He's very busy. Maybe he'll be staying at the office tonight."
Sheina squeezed the bag in her hand feeling a little sad because she couldn't say goodbye directly to Kenneth. "Could you give me a moment to write to Mr. Kenneth?"
Oscar nodded his head. "Yes, you can do it."
Sheina wrote Kenneth a letter then placed it on the table hoping Kenneth would read it after Kenneth got home from work. After that, Sheina looked around the room keeping in her memory all the memories she had ever done in that place. Satisfied, Sheina stepped away to steady her heart without looking back again.
After Sheina left, Kenneth came out of his room. The man deliberately told Oscar to lie to Sheina. Kenneth deliberately did not want to see Sheina again. Maybe he didn't want to waver in his decision.
Kenneth read the letter written by Sheina:
“Dear Mr. Kenneth,
I want to thank you with all your countless kindnesses. You are willing to give me a loan against my father's debt even though you know I will never be able to repay it in full. You also treat me very kindly. You even care about my cold allergy when other people are disgusted by the rash on my back. You also protect me in every threat that comes to me. I am very happy with all your attention.
I also want to say my apologies to you. I realized that I always get into trouble. I often ignored your warnings even though I knew you wanted to save me. I also often act careless to make you often worry about me.
Besides that, I also often complain about my suffering to you as if I want you to pity me. I'm sorry that I wasn't being strict. I want to apologize for my imperfections in dealing with you. You have helped me a lot though. I promise I will never forget your kanaikan. I also promise to make up for all the attention you've ever done to me, even though I don't know how to repay all of your services.
After my departure, I hope you live your usual serene life. I hope you don't get hurt often anymore.
From Sheena.”
Kenneth crumpled the paper in his hand after he finished reading the contents of Sheina's letter. The man's feelings were raging. All these strange feelings welled up in his chest that gave rise to an expression of anger towards something.
