A Punishment

Sheina regained consciousness from her faint. She glanced around her, scanning the occupied area. Sheina realized she was in a soft bed no longer tied to a chair or George's confinement room. But Sheina also knew that the room wasn't the usual room in Kenneth's apartment. She could hear the sound of the waves from the room making Sheina realize that her position was not far from the beach.

Sheina felt confused by everything that happened to her. She remembered about the white wolf that was in her last memory. There was no longer any growl nearby. The surrounding conditions were very calm and comfortable, making Sheina doubt whether the wolf was just her delusion or not.

Sheina saw a man standing on the balcony with his back to her. Sheina knew that the man was Kenneth even though she didn't see his face. Instantly she felt relieved. Sheina felt safe seeing Kenneth already in front of her. The feeling lasted only a moment before turning into a feeling of anxiety.

Shaina bit her lip. She remembered that she had ignored Kenneth's warning. Sheina ventured closer carefully. "Aren't you going to obey my orders, Sheina?"

"I didn't mean to break my promise to you. Really! I was trying in the apartment until Helena called me. She asked for my help. Helena is my sister. I didn't expect her to trick me." Sheina tried to explain to Kenneth.

"Why are you so naive? Don't you know that Helena is not a good sister for you? She hates you and tries to harm you. Humans will never change overnight, Sheina. You should know that!" Kenneth scolded Sheina turning her body to look at the woman.

Sheina lowered her head while twirling her hands. Sheina couldn't bear to see Kenneth's anger even though she realized her mistake. "I'm sorry, sir."

"I don't want to hear your apology. I want you to know that I made those rules to protect you, not to torture you." Kenneth was still scolding Sheina.

"I understand sir. For that, please pardon me."

"You must be punished." Kenneth lifted Sheina quickly to sit on the balcony which made their faces parallel. Kenneth kissed Sheina passionately. The man channeled his anger.

"Did you know you almost drove me crazy when Oscar told me you were kidnapped?" Kenneth said his frustration to Sheina when he caught his breath. The man almost gave up for no reason he could understand. If only Kenneth was one second late, Sheina could be in trouble. George can kill Sheina by sucking the woman's blood until it runs out. At least, making Sheina a vampire who makes the woman suffer because she has experienced a body change she never wanted.

Kenneth kissed Sheina again imagining the worst that would happen to Sheina. The kiss was more demanding than the previous kiss. Kenneth didn't even give Sheina to breathe.

"Sir, we are still outside the room. What if someone watches?" Sheina pushed Kenneth's body trying hard to 'sane' from the man's teasing 'attack'.

"No one will witness you but me. No one will ever touch you but me. You should know that." Kenneth unveiled Sheina's dress without the need to open it completely. Kenneth didn't want to waste much time even just laying Sheina comfortably on the bed.

Sheina woke up the next day. Kenneth was no longer by her side. The man must have woken up earlier compared to Sheina. Sheina did not dramatize the situation. She was used to it. She also realized that she had no right to ask Kenneth to stay by her side ,waiting for her to open her eyes.

Sheina walked towards the bathroom. She accidentally glanced at herself in the mirror. The rashes on her body reduced for no reason Sheina could understand. She did not do any special treatment. Sheina couldn't be a hypocrite, she was happy with the change.

After getting dressed, Sheina left the room looking for Kenneth. She didn't use the scarf anymore because Sheina felt the air was warmer than usual. But she still wears closed clothes. She wore a beautiful dress with a floral pattern. It looks like Kenneth deliberately chose the dress to suit Sheina's fashion style.

Kenneth was already waiting at the dining table at the resort restaurant where they were staying. "Sir, where are we now? I've never been in a place like this before." Sheina can see the tempting white sand to step on. Beach water that looks clear almost flawless. Sheina can even see the reflection of the coral reef from where she sits.

"We're on my island." Kenneth answered Sheina's question briefly.

Sheina turned her head still scanning the entire room. "I didn't see Oscar and Niko."

"I'm punishing Niko because he neglected to take care of you. Meanwhile Oscar needed a break after coming home from a business trip with me."

Sheina was surprised to hear about Niko. "Sir, can you forgive Niko? He's innocent of bullying me. I tricked Niko on purpose so I could sneak out of your apartment."

Kenneth straightened his body when Sheina explained about Niko. Kenneth crossed his arms while focusing on listening to Sheina's explanation. The girl nodded her head reassuring Kenneth more. "Really! I can confirm he's done a good job. He even warned me, sir."

"Your explanation makes me want to punish Niko even longer."

Sheina is getting regretful. "Please, believe me, sir!"

Kenneth frowned in annoyance. "Why do you care so much about Niko?" Kenneth had an obvious jealous look on his face.

"I just want you to know that he is innocent, sir." Sheina muttered thinly half scared with Kenneth's expression.

Kenneth narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Do you love Nico?"

"No." Sheena shook her head quickly. "I don't have any feelings for him. Never even to imagine it!"

"Don't even try it! You can't care about any other man but me. You can't think about any other man but me either."

"I understand." Sheina nodded her head not daring to argue with Kenneth. Their attention was diverted by the food that was served in front of them. They started to enjoy the dish.

Sheina looked at Kenneth doubtfully. She suddenly remembered the raging white wolf he had seen last night. "Sir, how did you save me last night?"

"Why are you asking this all of a sudden?" Kenneth raised his eyebrows.

"Did you meet the white wolf? I saw the wolf before I passed out last night." Sheina said doubtfully.

"Sheina, do you just want to ask me such a ridiculous question?" Kenneth chuckled lightly. "I want to enjoy this moment with you properly. Not answering your stupid questions."

Sheena was silent. She thought it might be her hallucination though she felt she met the wolf for real.
