Chapter 179 Lacy POV
Chapter 179 Lacy POV
Keeping my hands to myself is proving almost impossible. Lucas is right beside me, close enough that I can feel the heat of him, and all I want to do is reach over and grope him. Instead, I send the feeling down our bond and glance his way.
He smiles.
But he keeps listening to his mother talk about the ceremony as if I'm not sitting here imagining all the ways I could make him lose control in front of everyone. In just a few days, we'll be official. His father nods now and then, though he looks just as checked out as Lucas. Everyone—including my friends—is on their best behavior.
Honestly, this whole dinner feels stuffy.
I'm not used to this formal version of Lucas, and I'm definitely not enjoying it.
"Teresa, you’ll be able to complete any alterations the dress needs?" Luna Beatrice asks.
"Yes, Luna. I'm very quick," Teresa replies, offering Lucas’s mother a polite smile.
Lucas's cousins have been staring at me through the entire meal. Their eyes practically popped out of their heads when the girls and I arrived. They helped Matt and Dragon unload all my new clothes earlier. Jenna had been absolutely relentless about getting me a whole new wardrobe, and last week was basically one long blur of drinking and shopping.
In a way, I'm grateful for my friends and their fashion expertise.
Now I see why they pushed so hard. Everyone here looks so sophisticated—beautiful, elegant, and just a little stiff. Even the air feels polished. Refined. Tight.
Chiara, on the other hand, is shooting daggers at me across the table. I’m going to take a wild guess and say she used to sleep with Lucas.
I mindlink him, "I am so horny. I want to blow you at the dinner table."
He immediately spits his wine back into his goblet.
His mother scolds him.
Across the table, Ares and Nova grin.
Lucas’s voice slides through our mindlink, scandalized and breathless. "Tesoro!!!".... "Don’t “tesoro” me", I shoot back. "It’s been a really long week."
I swirl the wine in my goblet, watching the deep red liquid catch the light while I breathe in its complicated aroma, but I can barely focus on any of it. Lucas reaches for my hand and lifts it to his lips. His mouth brushes my knuckles, slow and deliberate, and then I feel the flick of his tongue against my skin.
A sharp shiver runs through me.
I want to moan. I want to climb into his lap. I want to ruin this entire formal little dinner.
He steals the breath right out of my lungs with that one touch.
Keep it cool, I tell myself, over and over. Keep it cool.
This is not the place to lose control.
After the table is cleared—by butlers, maids, servants, and what feels like an army of security—I start to feel overwhelmed. It seems impossible that we’ll ever get a second alone. I keep that to myself, though. His parents retire soon after, but not before telling us not to stay up too late because we have a full day tomorrow.
I’ll be glad when we can finally relax.
Soon, I hope.
We move from the dining room into a parlor, and somehow this room feels even stuffier. It's all polished wood, heavy furniture, a fireplace, a bar at one end, and couches that look too perfect for anyone to actually sit on. Still, the second Alpha Matteo leaves, everyone loosens up. Jenna and Frankie start making drinks, and Lucas’s cousins slip into Italian.
Oh boy.
They are saying all kinds of filthy things.
About me. About my friends. About what they’d like to do if given half a chance.
Lucas is grinning at me, and I'm honestly astonished Frankie hasn't shut them up already. Lucas keeps glancing over like he's waiting—patiently, smugly—for me to react.
Chiara tells the guys she thought I'd be prettier. They all call her a jealous hag because according to them I am pure perfection.
Romeo says he'd love to bend me over and fuck me.
Lucas tells him to shut his mouth.
As much as I'm enjoying the whole exchange, I'm also exhausted.
"Hai una bocca sporca!" I snap.
Marco's head jerks toward me. "Parli italiano?"
"Ma va,”" I say, rolling my eyes.
The room erupts in laughter.
Frankie looks straight at Enzo. "Anch'io, stronzo. Non parlare del mio moglie, mai."
"Scusa!" they all scramble to apologize.
"I was waiting on you, Lacy," Frankie says, winking at me.
After that, everything smooths out with the boys. We drink, laugh, and talk about anything and everything. Mostly, they bombard Dragon with questions about his business, which surprises absolutely no one. Chiara and Bianca, meanwhile, keep glaring holes into me from across the room.
Eventually, I"ve had enough.
I rise to my feet. "I need to be fucked. Let's go, Lucas."
Then I walk out of the room like I know exactly where I'm going.
I absolutely do not.
Lucas catches up to me and scoops me into his arms, then wheels us toward his room.
"I'm sorry, tesoro. My legs still seem to be out of commission. They're a little better, but not where they need to be yet."
"Don't you worry your pretty head," I murmur, pressing kisses to his neck while I drag my hand slowly across his chest. "You're going to sit there, and I'm going to do all the work."
By the time we get to his bedroom, I’m aching for him.
After he transfers himself onto the bed, I help him undress. He's already rock hard, his cock standing toward the ceiling, glistening before I've even touched him. The sight of him sends heat rushing through me. He watches me while I strip, his hand wrapping around himself, his eyes dark and hungry as they follow every inch of bare skin I reveal.
I crawl onto the bed over him and spit onto his cock.
He curses under his breath.
I know exactly how much he loves that.
I straddle him and sink down onto his dick, taking him in with one slow, wet drop. His hands clamp down on my hips immediately, firm and possessive, guiding me as I start to grind against him.
"Fuck," he groans, the word falling apart against my mouth as I kiss him. "I missed this."
So did I.
Goddess, so did I.
