Everyone was talking and criticizing Felix.
Felix sat in a wheelchair, touching his knees with his bony fingers, his cheeks sunken and his whole body exuded a faint sinister aura.
“When I was leading the Directors to make money before, you didn’t even praise me. Now that I have some problems, you are all rushing to blame me.
“If you directors cannot bear any risk, you should withdraw your shares as soon as possible.”
Felix always treated people in a gentle manner before and he would never fall out in public like this.
Several older directors got so angry that they stood up and left the meeting room, threatening to withdraw their shares.
The board meeting ended in a quarrel and Felix did not try to keep them.
After all the Directors left, Felix controlled his wheelchair to the basement and asked the
driver to take him back to the villa.
The villa was still the same as when Renee was there before. The things that were originally used to facilitate Renee’s movements had become Felix’s belongings.
Felix controlled the wheelchair and took the elevator to the basement.
The basement was dark and damp and the sour smell that hit him made Felix frown.
Iva’s limbs were locked with iron chains, her hair was disheveled, her clothes were discolored and one could smell the stench of sweat on her body even from several meters
away.
Felix sat in a wheelchair, his cold eyes cast upon her, “Iva, you look really disgusting now.
You’re all rotten now.”
Iva bit her lip and wanted to go over and strangle Felix to death, but the length of the chain
did not allow her to do so.
She could only sit on the ground and scream like a madman, “Felix, you’re crazy! Let me go quickly, or my father won’t let you go.”
Felix disliked the smell of Iva, so he took out a tissue to cover his nose, with contempt in
his eyes.
“Your father? The Hawkins Group is in a state of panic right now. Don’t say your father doesn’t know you’re here with me. Even if he knew, he would only want you dead even
more.”
The truth about Renee’s murder was revealed and not only the Pearson Group was hit hard, but also the Hawkins Group.
In addition, the Bosch Group and the Gilbert Group deliberately made it known that anyone

who dared to help the Pearson Family and the Hawkins Family would be their enemy, making the situation of the two companies even more difficult.
Iva knelt on the ground, crying heartbreakingly, “Felix, you loved me the most before. I know you are angry that I won’t marry you. As long as you let me go, I will marry your immediately.
“I said before that I disliked you because you were disabled, but it was all said in anger. If you let me go, we can get married right away. I promise that I will take care of you for the rest of your life.”
A few months ago, Felix was recuperating alone in Country M for a long time.
After returning, Iva said to Felix in front of him, “You are a cripple now. I, Iva Hawkins, will never marry a cripple. Our marriage is over now.”
She even sarcastically said, “People should know their own limitations and never overestimate their own abilities or dream of things that do not belong to them.”
In the beginning, it was Iva who forced Felix to get married. Since his leg was broken, Iva was the first one to add insult to injury.
At that time, Felix said nothing, turned around and left.
But that night someone kidnapped her and brought her to Pearson’s house, where she was kept for several months.
During these few months, Iva’s entire life was completed in this narrow space. She only had one meal a day and it was rotten.
Or maybe Felix threw the dog food at the door to Iva to eat.
At first, Iva was still very stubborn and did not want to eat.
But after three days, Iva knew that if she did not eat, she would starve to death, so she accepted whatever Felix gave her.
She used to feel sick when eating this kind of food, but by that time she had gotten used
to it.
Felix just listened quietly, then sneered, “Iva, do you think I will still believe your lies now? “If your Hawkins Family hadn’t–shamelessly robbed Renee’s father of his credit, Renee and I wouldn’t have taken this step!”
