In fact, Jeromy was not asleep at all, he just wanted to lean on Renee.
He had been dealing with that group of people since he was a teenager. Drinking alcohol was just like drinking water. It was not that easy to get drunk.
But he refused to tell the truth, so he reasoned, “The car suddenly braked and I was awakened. I was scared to death.”
Renee did not believe his lies, but thinking that he did not have any bad intentions, she did not expose him.
“We are boyfriend and girlfriend now, can I live in your house?”
Renee wanted to take Jeromy home because he fell asleep. That time since he was fine, of course she would not agree.
“No, you have your own home. Go back to your own home.”
Jeromy lowered his eyes, with disappointment in his eyes as he said, “It turns out that being a boyfriend is not as good as when I was a doctor. When I was your attending physician, I could live with you, but now that I am my boyfriend, I can’t live with you anymore.”
Jeromy’s words had a slight sour taste and Renee could not help explaining, “It’s different. You lived in my house to help me with my treatment, but my legs are healed now.”
“I understand. Just throw it away after use.” Jeromy sighed. He was completely different from the decisive person he was at night.
Renee could not find any other words to refute for a moment. After hearing what Jeromy said, she felt that she was a scumbag.
Jeromy’s eyes were filled with a hint of sadness and anyone who saw him would feel that he had suffered a great injustice.
Renee’s heart softened when she saw Jeromy like this. She could only explain, “Although I agreed to be your girlfriend, my mother doesn’t know yet. If you really want to live in the Jackson Family, you have to get my mother’s consent.”
They say a daughter was the one a parent cherishes the most. Renee had only just returned and surely her mother would be reluctant to see her taken away so soon.
But what Renee never expected was that her mother was actually in on it–with Jeromy.
Jackson Family villa.
When Renee’s mother found out that the two were together, she could not stop smiling. When she knew that Jeromy wanted to live in Jackson’s house, she immediately asked someone to clean up a room for him.
Jeromy seemed to be able to call the shots outside, but when he came back to Jackson’s house, he was like a good son–in–law who was filial to his parents. Renee’s mother liked everything about him.

Renee sat across from the two of them and could not help but remark, “Mom, if someone walked in right now, they’d probably think Jeromy is your biological son instead of me.” Jeromy took over the conversation, “A son–in–law is half a son. If Auntie is willing to recognize me as her son, I can call her mom right now.”
Renee was shocked by Jeromy’s attitude. Was this still the Jeromy she knew?
Jeromy coaxed Renee’s mother so much that she could not tell north from south and could not close her mouth with laughter.
It was almost one o’clock in the morning and Renee left only after she repeatedly asked her mother to go to rest.
The living room finally returned to silence. Renee stared at Jeromy, as if interrogating him, “Did you guess that my mother would react like this?”
Jeromy curled his thin lips slightly, leaned back slightly, unbuttoned a few buttons on his shirt, revealing his collarbone and pectoral muscles.
“Auntie’s good attitude towards me now is the result of my hard work in the past three months.” Jeromy said this with some confidence.
Renee glared at him and sneered, “You really had it all planned out long ago.”
Renee was slightly angry. She did not like being manipulated by others, so she stood up and prepared to leave.
Jeromy saw that she was about to leave, he immediately stood up, grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. The woman turned around and returned to his arms.
“Jeromy, let go!” Renee pressed the man’s chest hard, but this little bit of strength was nothing to him.
After Renee had vented her anger, Jeromy began to explain, “I didn’t plan this, but I admit that I did plan this for you for a long time.
“You always thought it was your mother who approached me and asked me to treat you, but that’s not the case.”
