BUILDING.
JASON:
As we returned from the tour of my pack, my heart was filled with a deep sense of contentment. Seeing Clarissa and Cisca bond with the wolves and witnessing the acceptance they received warmed my soul. I knew that they were meant to be a part of this pack, just as they were meant to be a part of my life.
As we settled back home, Clarissa and I spent the next few days discussing plans for expanding my quarters to accommodate our growing family. We wanted a space that felt like a home for all of us, a place where we could create memories and build our future together — Although I was rich, and also the Alpha, my quarters at my Pack was really small, I had been a typical Bachelor with a small bed and a haphazard living room, I was hardly ever at home so there was no much need for luxury or any excesses — I think that was the key difference between me and the other Alphas, I never saw the need to live like a king, and they all teased me, saying that I had the cursed mind of a peasant and that I would always settle for the least of everything. Well, that was a lie I had settled for Clarissa and she was the best of her kind, she was beautiful and everything else that came with it. I was eager to see the reaction on their faces when they saw my beautiful wife, her eloquence and majesty. The new Luna of my pack, I made a note to invite them all to the official coronation ceremony that would take place soon. I just needed to have everything in place so we would be ready to be a family soon.
Clarissa had a talent for interior design, and together, we drew up plans for the renovations. We wanted to blend her unique style with the rustic charm of the pack, creating a space that felt warm, inviting, and comfortable.
“We can turn this room into a cozy family den,” Clarissa suggested, pointing at one of the larger rooms. “And this area can be Cisca’s playroom.”
I nodded, impressed by her ideas and enthusiasm. “That sounds perfect. And we can add a nursery for the future,” I said, my heart swelling with excitement at the thought of expanding our family even more.
Over the next few weeks, the renovations began. Clarissa’s eye for detail and design transformed the once plain rooms into beautiful spaces that reflected our love and personality. We added touches of both her human world and the pack, creating a seamless blend of our lives together.
One evening, as the sun set and the stars began to twinkle in the sky, we sat together in our new family den, surrounded by the warmth of the fireplace. Cisca was playing with her toys nearby, and I wrapped my arm around Clarissa, pulling her close.
“This is perfect,” I whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “Our home, our family.”
Clarissa smiled, her eyes shining with love. “It truly is, Jason. I never imagined I could be so happy and content. You’ve given me a life I’ve always dreamed of.”
I kissed her lips softly, savoring the taste of our love. “And you’ve given me a family, a sense of belonging I never thought possible. I love you, Clarissa, with all my heart.”
Looking over everything that we had done, there was not a single thing I would change, from the beginning to where we were at now in the narration of our story.
CLARISSA:
As the renovations took shape, our home began to transform into a haven of love and warmth. Each room held a special significance, and I poured my heart into every detail, knowing that this was where we would create cherished memories together.
The playroom for Cisca was a place of laughter and joy. We filled it with toys and colorful decorations, and I loved watching her play and explore in her own little world. Jason and I often joined in, embracing our inner child and creating a bond with Cisca that grew stronger each day.
The family den became our sanctuary, a place where we gathered to share stories, cuddle by the fire, and simply be together. It felt like the heart of our home, a space where we could be our true selves and find comfort in each other’s love.
One evening, as we sat in the family den, I looked around at the life we had built together. Cisca was curled up in Jason’s lap, her eyes drooping with sleepiness. I leaned against Jason’s shoulder, feeling a sense of gratitude and wonder for the life we had created.
“This feels like a dream come true,” I said softly, my voice filled with emotion.
Jason kissed the top of my head, his arms wrapped protectively around us both. “It’s our reality now, Clarissa. And it’s only the beginning of a lifetime of love and happiness.”
He was right. Our journey had been filled with ups and downs, but through it all, we had found strength in each other. I knew that we were destined for a future filled with love, adventure, and a family that extended beyond blood ties.
As we settled in for the night, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. Our home was more than just walls and decorations; it was a testament to the love that bound us all together. With Jason by my side, I knew that we could face anything that life threw our way. Although, I was very scared of the things that life could throw, because life was not always nice to people.
We were heading back to the city tomorrow, we still had a lot of things to arrange and discuss about, the new pack that we had formed was automatically now a part of Jason’s pack, a lot of things were about to change. The night before, Jason had also informed me of the coronation ceremony that was impending and I was so anxious, who wouldn’t be? I was about to become the Luna of the most important, and the most powerful pack of all time, and that came with a lot of possibilities. Deep into the night, I awoke and went outside to clear my head. I dipped my feet into the water and thought about each and every member of my pack, from Jericho, to Mirian and Elliot, then to Nolle and Amber, my two best friends forever.
And into the deepest of nights, I thought about Clyde, his body was never found. Something told me he wasn’t dead.
