A PROPOSAL IN THE AIR
JASON:
After months of training the Orhert, my heart was filled with a newfound sense of purpose and determination. As the training sessions came to an end, I couldn’t help but feel a longing to return home, to Clarissa and my loved ones. But this time, I had something more on my mind than just being with them. During my stay away from Clarissa, I had realized something, not only did I miss her desperately, I wanted to be with her for a very long time, to know her more than I already did, and also to take her family as mine. I had decided to propose to Clarissa, to take our love to the next level and build a future together.
When I got back to the city, I summoned Amber Hart who was knowledgeable in the matters of love and marriage. I wanted the proposal to be as beautiful as possible and also to take her completely by surprise.
“Jason! It’s been so long since I saw you, how have you been doing?” Amber chirped, bumping my shoulder with her fists in greeting.
“I’ve been alright Amber, and I’m well and happy as a puppy.” I replied, and smiled at her, Amber was a personality I liked and respected, she had probed herself worthwhile on so many occasions.
“I can see that you are happy, it is evident. So, what brings you here today?”
“Amber, I need you to help find a beautiful ring, for a beautiful woman.” I posited, the keenness made my hands shake.
“I think I already know what this is about, and so so happy for you!” Amber literally leaped in the air, and dragged me outside to her car, she drove us to a Jeweler’s store, that glittered gloriously with the majestic colors of several precious stones. Eventually we settled for a sapphire ring, matching with the blue of Clarissa’s eyes.
“Thank you so much Amber, I’ll come by again to speak with you.$
With the ring tucked safely in my pocket, I sought the counsel and support of those closest to me. I decided to start with Nolle, as I knew she had always been a pillar of wisdom and guidance. We sat down in the living room, a sense of excitement and nervousness in the air.
“Nolle, I need to talk to you about something important,” I began, my voice filled with anticipation. She looked at me with a knowing smile, her eyes sparkling with joy.
“I have a feeling I know what this is about, Jason,” Nolle replied, her voice laced with warmth and encouragement. “You’re going to propose to Clarissa, aren’t you?”
Surprised by her intuitive understanding, I nodded and let out a sigh of relief. “Yes, Nolle, I am. I’ve never been so sure about anything in my life. Clarissa is the one, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her.”
Nolle reached out and squeezed my hand, her support evident in her touch. “I couldn’t be happier for you, Jason. You and Clarissa are a perfect match. Your love is strong and true, and I have no doubt that she will say yes.”
Her words reassured me, and I felt a surge of confidence building within me. With Nolle’s blessing, I decided to seek the support and advice of Amber Hart, again.
Amber Hart welcomed me into her humble home, her eyes twinkling with curiosity. I shared my intentions with her, revealing my plan to propose to Clarissa. Her face lit up with joy, and she embraced me warmly.
“Jason, my dear, I have watched you, and your heart, you are really a remarkable young man,” Amber Hart said, her voice filled with affection. “Clarissa is a remarkable woman, and I have seen the love between you two. You have my full support, and I wish you all the happiness in the world.”
Feeling the love and support of both Nolle and Amber Hart, I knew I was on the right path. But there was one more person I needed to talk to, someone who had always been there for me—my dear grandma.
As I entered her room, my heart swelled with love and gratitude. She looked up at me, her eyes filled with warmth and anticipation. I sat beside her, holding her hand gently.
“Grandma, I have something important to ask you,” I began, my voice filled with love. “I’ve decided to propose to Clarissa. I want to ask her to marry me and spend the rest of our lives together.”
A smile spread across my grandma’s face, and she nodded approvingly. “Jason, my dear grandson, I have always seen the love between you and Clarissa. It warms my heart to know that you have found someone so special. Your happiness means everything to me, and you have my blessing.”
With the support of my loved ones, I felt a renewed sense of determination and excitement. The time had come to return home and propose to the woman who held my heart. I could hardly wait to see the joy on Clarissa’s face and to start a new chapter of our lives together.
