Chapter 195 I’m Getting Married

Mason's kiss was domineering and possessive, devouring every breath Stella took.

Stella's body went limp, her back pressed against the cold wall. Her hands pushed weakly against his solid chest, unable to move him even an inch.

Only when the woman in his arms was gasping for air, her cheeks flushed crimson, and her legs gave out completely did Mason finally release her.

His fingertips gently traced her reddened lips as he pressed his forehead against hers. His dark eyes burned with intense possessiveness, his voice low and hoarse with an undeniable warning: "From now on, don't let any other man near you, and absolutely no physical contact."

"This is your first warning. Next time, the punishment will be far worse."

Stella panted heavily, her face burning hot, her ears bright red. She made a small fist with her delicate hand and lightly tapped his chest, her eyes carrying a hint of playful reproach: "You have this clean, gentle, harmless face, yet you act so domineering and forceful. The contrast is huge."

"How many women have been fooled by that deceptive face of yours?"

Mason lowered his head, his nose brushing against her slender, pale neck, his warm breath caressing her skin and making Stella tremble slightly.

His tone was tender yet serious, without a trace of jest: "However many others there are, they don't matter. I've never given my heart to anyone—only you."

The gentle confession struck straight to her heart. Stella's heart stirred as she turned her flushed face away, avoiding his burning gaze.

Mason straightened up and gripped her wrist tightly, his eyes anxious yet earnest as he pressed her about what happened in the living room earlier: "What you said before—about marrying me—was that true?"

He feared it was just a momentary impulse, feared it was only said to reject Richard.

Stella looked up at his nervous, uneasy expression and couldn't help but curve her lips slightly, her tone slow and teasing: "I don't know you well enough yet, so the wedding is postponed for now. Let's spend more time together and see."

The moment those words fell, Mason's eyes instantly filled with hurt. Like a large dog abandoned by its owner, he immediately clung to her, his arms wrapped tightly around her waist, his head nuzzling her shoulder incessantly, acting completely clingy and refusing to let go.

"Don't postpone it. I want to marry you soon."

"I can tell you everything about me, lay all my cards on the table for you to see. Don't postpone it, okay?"

The tall man lowered himself completely, wheedling and acting spoiled, clinging to Stella until she had nowhere to escape.

Unable to handle his persistence, Stella sighed helplessly and gently pushed him away, offering a condition: "I need to meet someone in a bit. If you behave well, I'll reconsider the marriage."

Mason's eyes instantly lit up. He immediately stood up straight, utterly obedient, and eagerly asked: "Meet who?"

Stella looked at his suddenly compliant demeanor and said flatly: "Nicole."

……

The two subsequently drove to the agreed-upon private café.

Stella went to the restroom midway, leaving Mason sitting alone in the booth.

Before long, a striking figure rushed into the café. Nicole spotted her brother by the window immediately, a sweet smile spreading across her face as she hurried toward him.

Since childhood, she had been extremely dependent on this half-brother. In her heart, Mason was always the one who protected and indulged her the most.

She sat down across from Mason without hesitation, leaning forward slightly, her eyes carrying the unique intimacy and dependence of a young girl as she spoke softly: "Mason, you suddenly called to meet me—did you miss me?"

In the past, when faced with his sister's affection, Mason wouldn't be overly warm, but he wouldn't be coldly distant either.

But this time, Mason's expression was indifferent, without any trace of his former indulgence. His tone was distant and cold as he issued a direct warning: "Don't speak to me in that tone anymore. Keep your distance."

The sudden coldness made Nicole's smile freeze instantly. Her face filled with bewilderment as she frowned in hurt: "Mason, what's wrong? Why are you suddenly saying this?"

Mason looked up, his eyes calm and unwavering, without the slightest hesitation as he made his blunt announcement, severing any inappropriate hopes his sister might harbor: "I'm getting married."

That single sentence exploded like thunder in Nicole's ears.

She stared wide-eyed, her face full of disbelief. It took several seconds before she recovered, opening her mouth in panicked inquiry: "Married? You've kept this hidden way too well. I've never heard you mention it even once. Who are you marrying?"

Just then, Stella walked back to the booth. She sat down directly beside Mason and said, word by word—

"Me."
