Chapter 64 Furious Discovery
“What do you mean, they haven't been found!”
Kael’s booming voice reverberated around the squared-off room in his conference room. Everyone at the long table was startled by his outburst and looked at him in bewilderment, wondering what terrible news he could possibly be hearing to provoke such an intense reaction.
He was in an important business meeting. They have to fly all the way from Russia to Italy for this matter because he was not in a good mood on this particular day following the incident that happened between him and Lilia in the islet. It was indeed unforgettable, especially the passionate moment they shared. The heat that was building up between them as he buried himself further and more inside of her. To experience for the first time with a woman the exploding sensation of her warm depths, something Kael has never felt before with any other woman. Those beautiful groans that she was making. Her lips were the source of the hushed utterances of his name, ringing in his ears with delight.
His doll.
And now she’s missing. This was one of the reasons why he didn’t want her to leave the villa, but he couldn’t say no after the conversation they had this morning over the phone call. For the first time, he couldn’t say no after she threatened him to leave. Who could have believed that the great Kael Aslanov, one of the most fearsome mobs all over Russia, couldn’t say no to a woman? A petite, doll-looking innocent woman.
Whatever he had said the time they were on the islet, it made her mad, and she attempted to let herself drown. She can swim alright, but only in shallow waters. He doesn’t understand why she suddenly was acting up that way. Was it about the ring? Does she not like them? Any woman would have died just to have it. All was well, and she seemed to be having fun at the beach.
Now, she’s gone. She just slipped out from his watch, and now she’s gone missing. Did she try to escape again? What were his men doing? He specifically told them not to let her out of their sight.
Molten anger rolled through him, and the weight of his strength threatened to crush the thin metal device pressed on his ear while he listened to one of his fucktard men. His arms were trembling with rage. The corner of his jaw clenched tightly, his molars gnashing, and the corner of his vision turned red, wanting him to kill someone.
“They were cruising the grand canal, master. They came under this bridge, but then, they never came passed through,” the quivering voice stated through the receiving speaker, attempting to explain to him what happened, but he was not having it.
They were all idiots.
“You…! FUCKING IDIOTS!”
In a flash of wrath, Kael balled up his fist and slammed it down on the table with considerable force. He doesn’t care about the befuddled set of eyes looking at him and jolted from their seats with the impact his punch came forth with the poor immaculately polished, but now severely dented mahogany wood.
“C'è qualcosa che non va, signor Aslanov?”
(Is something the matter, Mr. Aslanov?)
One of his business partners braved enough to stand up from his chair and inquired what had transpired to have him throw off in a fit of fury. Kael threw him a sharp glare for a fleeting moment, and if it was possible, he noticed the man had gone paler than a sheet of paper.
He was breathing heavily, and his mind was filled with images of a certain woman with doll-like features. The phone, which he was holding excessively tightly, finally yielded to this force, and a cracking sound could be heard coming from the screen. The metal device set sailed all across the conference room in one fluid motion and smashed into bits of pieces on the wall just as Kael hurled it into the air.
Val, who was just sitting on the corner, immediately stands up to his feet, alarmed by the suddenly enraged temper Kael had shown, and he knew very well that something had terribly occurred.
“Boss, what happened?”
Not anyone had dared move an inch, too afraid that if they squeaked, Kael might lash out again, and they wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of his wrath.
Val was the only one who had the balls to cross the conference room and stood a fair distance away from Kael.
Kael looked at him. Large veins protruded at his temple, and his jaw gnashed while his lips curled into a smoldering resentment. He sighed sharply and turned to his trusted right hand.
“Er—”
The name of the woman that had been in big trouble if his current temperament almost had slipped his tongue and said in front of all the horrified looks boring on him. He turns his head and looks at his company.
“Per ora è tutto. Chiamo presto.”
(That’s it for now. I will make a call soon.)
As soon as Kael finished speaking, every single person within the meeting room bolted out the door like a rat on the run. Right after the last person left, he instantly flipped the table upside down, roaring in a vortex of anger swirling in him. “Those fucking imbeciles! She’s gone missing!”
Without even further specification, Val didn’t need an elaborate explanation about who had gone missing. There’s only one person that could rile Kael up with this certain type of rage.
He nodded as they both didn’t waste any more time idling and stormed out, moving so quickly to where their car had been located.
“I’ll instruct them to go through the CCTV footage installed around the canal,” Val offered in the initiative, and Kael only waved off his hand as he slipped into the vehicle, barking an order to the driver to get on the road, beating off the speed limits and breaking all the traffic rules.
Kael didn’t need to be worried about the law cause he could bend them with a snap of his fingers. All he’s concerned about is Lilia.
“I hope you’re not escaping me yet again, kukla.”
