Chapter 47 Departure

“I cannot believe you just did that!” Aya exclaimed right after Kael left the room, and my heart still hasn’t stopped racing since then. I actually had my eyes fixed on the entryway where the monster had gone out.
I figured he would get enraged that I intentionally challenged him on that, but I have never been so glad that he eventually agreed and let Aya come along with us. I exaggerated a long sigh and look at Aya, her eyes still wide in disbelief.
“I know, I couldn't believe myself either, but hey, looks like you are packing your things as well.” I chirped, hustling to her side, and circled my arm on hers.
Aya just shakes her head and giggled, “Yeah, but you need to shower first while I prepare your things. You stink,” she prodded, hauling me towards the restroom and pushing me right in.
“Fine, fine.” I was giggling just as she closed the door and left me in the bathroom to do my thing, and I didn’t lag any moment longer knowing that Kael will just simply barge if we take another second of his precious time.
I began stripping off my sweat-drenched dress, wincing on my own smell, and dumping it on the corner bin that Aya had set up for me to put my dirty clothes. After getting naked, though I leave the ring on my finger, knowing how expensive it was and I could not simply afford to lose it or otherwise, I’m going to pay for it with my life. I didn’t waste time stepping into the shower and taking a bath. I remained under the warm shower for what felt like ten minutes. Subsequently, after thoroughly cleaning myself, I at long last escaped the restroom and saw Aya zipping three full bags.
“Do I need all of that?” I asked, raising one of my eyebrows quizzically as I took a gander at each of the huge luggage. Right after she finished hopping on one of them and finally locked it, she sighs loudly, wiped her forehead using her forearm, and looked at me.
“Yes. All of these were your necessities,” she panted, jumping off the floor and padding around my bed, and started folding the excess clothes she took out from my closet. I know this is all too much and I don’t even have any idea how long we’re going to stay there. Kael didn’t specify the time range or the itinerary. Well, it’s not like it’s my concern anyway, so I dropped the thought aside.
“Uhm, okay…” I trailed off, walking closer to my bed, and pick up the pair of clothes she separated for me to wear for today. “How about your things?” I ask her, wondering if she had already packed her things as well because I wasn’t seeing any of her belongings.
Did she put her clothes along with mine? Not that I mind at all.
“Oh, I didn’t have much to pack, I only brought a backpack,” she said, pointing to the small backpack I overlooked on the wavy couch, and to my surprise, it was way too small compared to what she had prepared for mine.
“Are you serious? I have three huge bags and you only have a backpack?” I gaped at her, totally flabbergasted. If she wasn’t kidding, she might have only fit a couple of shirts in there and nothing more.
Aya only looked at me with both of her eyebrows went pent up, huffing as she lean on my bed and reaches more for my clothes then start rearranging it all.
“Unlike you, Missy, I don’t own much aside from my uniforms,” she responded without looking at me.
That doesn’t sound right though. Yes, I may have somewhat worn those dresses but I did not buy them, so technically, I do not own them. What’s more, I came here practically wearing almost nothing. I could have been worse than her. I pivoted on my heels, holding up the towel I have wrapped around me.
“Correction, these…” I hold up my finger before me, highlighting the bits of stuff that she was rearranging as she labeled them as mine, which are certainly not “are not all mine. I did not buy it all. Let’s just say, they were lent.” I say to her, proving my point exactly, then an idea came up to my pretty little mind as I went on with my statement. “Well, I couldn’t wear all these, guess like we’ve got to share.”
Aya halted whatever she was doing and turns her attention to mine with a quizzical look on her face. “Are you sure?”
“Of course,” I nodded, smiling at her, telling her that I would gladly share those things with her. We were basically the same size and for sure everything that fits me, fits her as well and I see no problem in that.
Aya’s face immediately brightens with what I said and jumps on her feet, throwing her hands all over my shoulders, pulling me to a hug.
“Aw, thank you!” She exclaims, then bossed me around just as she noticed that I still have my towels on and my hair still dripping wet. “Now get ready before Master Kael or Sir Val will come here to fetch us.”
Now that she had reminded me, the cold started to seep through my skin, and I fought a shudder when she finally let go of her embrace on me and went back to her chore and let me finish dressing up.
“Why do we even have to be in Italy?” I muttered curiously as I hurdled up the side zipper of my dress, wrapped the towel around my hair to dry them, and began helping Aya tidy up before one of those giant men will burst the door open.
“I have never been to Italy. Have you?” She asks, to which I immediately responded with a shake of my head.
“No.”
I watch Aya put the last excess dress back in the closet and then spoke just as she emerged from the door. “This might be our chance to see other places.”
Well, I kind of doubt that part, knowing Kael and how strict he was for me and those dreaded unexplained rules that I had to abide by when going out with him. I don’t even still see the point of why he was taking us.
“If, we are allowed to go out wherever they will be taking us. It might not be too much of a difference from here,” I mumbled, dropping my ass on the bed and sulking.
“Don’t fret about it. We’ll know when we get there.” Aya grinned at me as she strolls nearer to mine and grasp my hand, trying to lighten up things.
It was just dreadful to think that if I am right and we are not given the liberty to at least roam the place, it would be totally useless that we have traveled a long way and just stay inside the room.
The door to my room immediately swung open, and as if on cue, Val strode in with three men behind him.
“Are you girls ready?” He asks, raising his hand and signaling them to take our things.
His gaze landed on me, and what I felt towards him last night suddenly came back, though I couldn’t see anything from his eyes if that moment even bothers him, since it sure as hellfire did to mine.
