CHAPTER 83
"Since you came into their lives, Lucile's life has not been quiet anymore. Her brain was filled with anger and whatever ideas she had just to get you out of their way."
Now I was able to follow the direction the words of the man I was talking to were taking. Everything is starting to become clear to me.
"The attempt she made to make you miscarry twice, it's all her plan. It just didn't work the second time because the one she ordered—Grandma Minda—was caught."
"Is it also the consumption of my family, is she in cahoots with Imelda?" Tearfully, I looked away from the person I was talking to. Maybe because of the answer I will hear from him, I will completely give up. "Is Lucile also one of the ones who planned to make all my family disappear from the world?"
"They have planned it... with Ma'am Imelda."
I felt like all my energy was drained because of that. She was still with me... she and Henrix, while I mourned the fate of my family and the life I had lost. She sympathized with Papa's loss, and yet she was one of the masterminds of the explosion!
"Fuck you, Lucile," my voice trembled with anger. "All the misfortunes... all the bad things that have happened in my life, it turns out that there is only one root and end of everything."
So, I will find that girl. She is the one who started everything, in her life too the mess she made will end. Because I will make sure that when we meet again, I will not feel guilty about blowing her skull.

"You don't even need to accompany me to go there. I'm not young, Hen," I said irritatedly. I stopped in front of the car because he was still tailing me. "First replace Liam in guarding Aud. Maybe that person is sleepy, I don’t want Liam to think we’re abusing his kindness to be Audrey’s personal guard.”
“Kris, let him make it up to Aud for however long he likes-”
"We only talked for one week-"
"He's only three days old. So, it's still far from the deadline." He took the car key from my hand. "Let them bond… then we will too." He rode in the driver's seat and I was left with my choice to ride in the passenger's seat. "I'm not giving you mixed signals, huh? Maybe that's what you think."
"Isn't that what you do?"
"Trust what I am asking of you at this time. Can't you trust me?”
"Where can I trust you?" I was confused watching him drive. "Henrix, I've been thinking a lot. Is it hard for you to be straightforward with me? I am not a soothsayer!”
"I mean… trust me." He looked at me for a moment. "That I will not waste the love you have for me." His attention returned to the road. I saw him smile a little, and utter in a low voice, "Don't take your love for me back, Kris. Wait for the change.”
My heroic heart is racing again. Taking the lead again, and if I'm really attacked here, I'll blame Henrix. He's running my hopes up again.
'Henrix “PAASA” Rivero, just make sure that the last trust I give you... it won't make me cry.'
"Will you go inside?"
"I'm not your driver that will wait for you in the car," he said after opening the door for me.
So, the ending is that we entered the precinct together. Because the police called me and said they needed me for some questions that would help them to move the investigation forward.
"Glad you're here, Mrs. Rivero,” the chief greeted me. "Sit down first."
"I want to make this fast. Direct me now.” I didn't even bother to sit in their chair, it wasn't even soft. “Ask any question you want me to answer. ASAP.”
“Are you sure-”
"One hundred thousand percent sure."
The policeman raised two eyebrows at me, and I didn't even bother to find out his name on the name tag attached to his uniform. Do I really have to care about who they are?
"Why wasn't your daughter's birthday party held at your house? Why do you have to move to another place when your house is big enough to hold a party there?"
"Is that really part of what you're asking?"
"Anything that would lead us to even a small clue, we have to investigate."
I nodded. "Uhm... honestly, that's not my plan. My friend—I mean… old friend, plans to have a party outside. She is the one who prepared the venue... so, naturally you should be asking her-"
My forehead suddenly wrinkled. An idea started to form in my brain... because if Sarah died at the very venue of Aud's party... and to know the fact that Lucile hung Sarah there and showed it like Sarah took a suicide... It's not even possible that Lucile tells me that she will plan Audrey's birthday party, so she can set everything up.
If there was an incident at Audrey's party itself, and because Sarah's death happened at my daughter's party, I would be the one to blame.
“And then what?" I was brought back to my vision by the policeman's voice that I heard.
"Just catch me, sir," the woman's voice was familiar. "Ma'am Gwen is not guilty if you are arresting her about the food poisoning that happened."
"Dianne, what are you doing?!" I approached her and slightly pushed her away from the police, but she didn't pay attention to me. “Dianne-”
“I surrender myself, Ma'am. I don't want you to go to jail, I'm actually the one who initiated to do that even though you didn't order it." There was no trace of sadness on her face when she surrendered her two hands to the police. "I'm the one who should be arrested, Ma'am. You are too kind to be a criminal."
"You don't have to do this, Dianne..."
"Ma'am, trust me… your name will be cleared and you will be able to return to the Aether." She said that a policeman was holding her head while her hand was being handcuffed.
They also brought her inside, and according to what I heard, Dianne is under police custody at the moment. That is done to people who surrender themselves for some interrogation, so that the police can be sure if they are really the culprit or they are just surrendering themselves to cover up the person the police are looking to arrest.
"Fvck," I said weakly to myself. I was trying to hold back my tears, but I'm weak enough to succeed.
"In my desire to take revenge, I even felt sorry for Dianne because of my arrogance. Fvck!”
