Troublesome Nina
The thought of the incident from earlier keeps replaying in his head and he just couldn't help the scoff that keeps teariing through his throat. He keeps wondering where the guts came from, he had been wondering where the girl came from, no one dares to do that and to think that the person doing this was just an ordinary human, keeps driving him crazy.
Raising his gaze and staring deep into the mirror, his red eyes penetrated the mirror with anger written all over them. His breath thickened as it now came out in grunts, he was just trying so much to control his anger and he didn't know how long he'd be able to control himself. He closed his eyes briefly and threw his head back, trying to calm down. Of course, he knew what would happen if he happens to lose control of himself.
He washed his face and changed his clothes before he finally left the restroom and straight to the exit door. Stepping out of the restaurant, he walked over to his car and drove out of the place afterward.
The rest of the day was boring, as he was just in the office, sorting out some files. He sighed softly, resting his back on the chair. He found the office thing so boring, but he had just been doing this to keep himself busy, else he could've asked someone to take care of the company while he stays back in the den and rest.
The sound of the knock on the door pulled his attention and even if the person had not come in yet, he already sensed who it was because he already perceived his scent, it was Miguel.
"Come in," He said, his gaze strictly fixated on the desktop screen as his fingers moved speedily on the keyboards like the pro he was. The door slowly opened, and Miguel walked in elegantly looking as handsome as always. The young vampire though have been in existence for centuries too, but he looks like he's just twenty three, with the perfect body shape and the perfect handsome face that can melt anyone's heart. Of course, he was counted as one of the most handsome men in the vampire realm, but his cuteness is nothing, compared to that of Kai.
"Master," He said as soon as he stepped inside the office, his face holding no emotions as always. How they always manage to maintain their cuteness even with the deep frown, is still something that some people can't get a hold of. Imagine how handsome he would be, if he ever let a smile touch that face.
"Speak," Kai said calmly but with so much dark and intimidating aura surrounding it. His gaze was still fixed on the desktop screen.
"There's still no applicant yet," Miguel said and he was forced to raise his gaze to look at him. The last time he had checked, people are out there looking for job, how come no one has applied for a post of secretary for a couple of days now, even after he had raised the awareness?
"Just give it a few days, like seventy two hours and if no one still comes for it until then, tell Lisa to take up the work for now, while you look for someone else," He said hoarsely and Miguel nodded. The work on the office have been a whole lot of work for him, and he needed someone to give him a helping hand. He could've tell Lisa to take up the work, but he doesn't want to have her around him, at least for the sake of his peace of mind.
"Alright, I'll do that," Miguel said and with that, he turned around and left the office, closing the door behind him gently.
He sighed softly, resting his back on the chair...
Lilly POV
Thinking about that jerk from earlier today, I can't just help the scoff that keeps tearing through my throat. Who the heck does he think he is, to think he can bully me? He doesn't know who he had messed with, and I'm definitely going to show him the stuff I'm made of.
I was so sad when I left the restaurant angrily, but strangely I became extremely happy when I saw Raymond. Just the thought of him brings a smile to my face. I thought he was a jerk, but turns out that he's nice and fun to be with. Guess what? He took me and Nina to eat at a restaurant, even if I said no.
"Gosh! I find Raymond so cool and nice," Nina said dramatically, cupping her cheeks and smiling foolishly.
"He's so cute, considerate, loving and caring. Babe, I think the guy likes you, judging from how he was looking at you back in the restaurant, he looked like someone that was deeply in love and I think you should say yes to him, if he ever asks you out babe. I mean, he's everything any woman would want to be with, he's super handsome and I've never seen someone as handsome as he is, except for that guy we bumped into back in the restaurant that day," She ranted, while I just stared at her unbelievably. This girl is going crazy, how can she even tell me that?
"For once in your life, act like a responsible lady, even if you're not, that's all I have to say to you. Just because he took us out to eat, he has suddenly become an angel that you're dying for, I bet he'll laugh at you if he hears this from you. He doesn't like me, OK? You heard when he told us that he just wanted to make up for what he had done before, and there's no hard feelings attached, so what do you still want to know?" I rolled my eyes at her and she scoffed.
"Sorry to disappoint you, girlfriend, but he lied to you. He couldn't have told you that he liked you on first date..."
"We didn't go on a date, so just stop, OK? Can't you see that I'm trying to read here?" I rolled my eyes and took my attention back to the novel I was reading. For goodness sake, we're having English test tomorrow and instead of reading, she's here talking about some shit.
Silence crowded the room and I sighed in relief, at least I was able to shut her up.
"Lilly, look at this," She suddenly said and I sighed frustratingly. Can my day ever be spent happily without me having to deal with Nina's annoying frustration? I glared hard at her before taking the phone she was stretching to me.
"What do you..." My words were cut in my throat as I behold what was on the screen, it's a job opportunity!...
