My breath quickened and my hand trembled as I jerked up into a sitting position, letting the phone fall.
"Davina?" He called.
How did he know my name? I asked myself.
Did he ask Jasper?
Had they been talking about me?
Quickly my finger tapped on my phone's screen, cancelling the call.
In a minute, my phone was ringing again. It was Jamal.
Couldn't he just give it up? I groaned.
He finally decided to call me after seeing me touch myself, I rolled my eyes.
Reluctantly, I picked up the call.
"Hello," I said.
"Hello Davina, I just want to apologize," he rasped.
"You called to apologize, over the phone?" I was irked.
"Please, listen to me. I was thinking I would see you probably when I was coming out of Jasper's house. I was given the wrong direction. Your doorbell wasn't making any sound, your door was open and I let myself in." He explained.
"But you walked into my room and saw me....," I swallowed my words, it was better not to push it.
How would I ever recover from this huge embarrassment?
"Let me make it up to you if you will let me." His tone sounded sincere.
But I didn't hear that, I was so enraged - being reminded of his hazel eyes perpetuating my body.
"What are you, are you Jasper's tutor or what?" I stormed.
"Calm down, Davina. Breathe, I didn't see anything," he tried to calm me down.
"But you did!"
"Yeah, I did," he admitted, "it was certainly the most crude solo activity that I have ever seen. I mean it, and it could be better."
"What?"
My voice caught in my throat, I looked down at my phone. Maybe I was talking to a lunatic.
"I don't understand, solo sex could be better, what are you talking about?" One of my brows twitched as my tone softened.
"I'm sorry if you ever find my suggestion off. Touching yourself isn't all that great. If you perhaps have someone like the opposite sex to touch you, you will find that explicitly exciting." He advised.
What was he doing? Adding salt to my injury!
"Are you stupid? I didn't ask for your advice. What is this? You are the fucking pervert!" I ranted.
"My bad, my bad! I'm sorry, I was only trying to help," he pleaded.
"Help? With your stupid suggestions?" I put in.
"Now, don't make me look like the bad person..."
"Who the hell do you think you are? To tell me how to go about touching myself?" I jumped off the bed, holding the phone to my mouth while I spoke angrily.
Certainly, no guy had ever been so bold to come out that straight with me with such a devious suggestion.
Who the hell would the guy be anyway, most guys who had been around me barely even knew that I masturbated.
"Now, don't yell at me," he warned over the phone.
"Or you do what?" I dared.
"I will cut this call on you," his voice was stern.
"Fuck you!" I yelled.
And my phone beeped, he had cut the call. I tried to steady my raging heart.
Jamal dared to voice the fact that I should experiment with the opposite gender instead of masturbating.
Were we cool as friends for him to say such nonsense to me?
I swear if I saw him, I would throw a punch into his face.
"Honey, are you alright?" My mum turned on the switch, watching me intently as I paced the room.
I didn't even hear her come in, my lips pressed into a thin line. "I am fine, mum," I said to her.
"Not even a simple kiss to my cheek, or an hello. You stand in the dark and pace around like a mad woman?" My mother teased.
She worked at the adult house, taking care of sick adults who were placed under her watch. And since she was on her free day, she had returned home.
I gnarled at my mother. "I am fine, mum," I repeated.
Everything was truly getting on my nerves.
"Okay, I bought some lettuce, tomatoes.....," she trailed off, walking to the kitchen.
But I didn't hear the rest of her words as I picked up my jacket, wore it, and slammed the door behind me.
I didn't bother taking the elevator. I took the stairs to let out my frustrations. And as I hit the outside, the cold air hit my skin like a biting scorpion.
I hissed, hugging my jacket to myself.
I crossed the street leading to the poppy shop, I would just take a stroll and return home.
The air would do some justice to my seething anger, I mused, rubbing my arms as I walked.
That was when I saw him.
He had his hand around a blondie's shoulder, smiling down at what she was saying.
My feet froze. All I ever wanted to do to him fluttered away in that instant.
He was walking towards me with his girlfriend and there was possibly no way I could run as the street was bustling with life.
I hid behind a chubby man but Jamal's eyes were quick to pick me out from a crowd.
"Hold on Audra," he motioned to the girl to go ahead while he stopped before me.
"You can go about with your girlfriend," I was humbled by his eyes.
What happened to me brushing his face with a blow?
What happened to all of that fury?
Instead, flashes of him walking into my room swam in my head.
"I don't want to talk to you," my voice was interestingly calm.
He cocked his brows. "So what about it? Have you thought about it?" His hands dived into his pockets as he grinned.
"Thought about what?" confusion etched on my face.
"About experimenting with the opposite sex
?"
He looked stupid with the smug smile plastered on his face, my hands slowly clenched into a fist. He was truly a trouble maker and a pervert.
I let my leg swing to his groin, he was quick to dodge and he raced after his girlfriend, laughing at me while giving me the middle finger.
Would this truly ever end?
