Chapter 56 Confused (8)
Bradley's POV
Fury still boiled within me, and for that, it kept me up till I was sure Lily was asleep. I pulled myself from her entangled arms, reached for my shirt, and started out the door.
Lily was damn sure about someone watching us, and I knew in the depths of my heart that it could be Bobby. Was he watching us while I made love to my woman?
Yes, he did love her first but she was my woman. I earned her love but he never did win her heart.
I started towards the garage, hoping to meet him there. I rolled the gate open and walked myself in.
Bobby was sprawled across a car that had broken windows. He puffed a thick smoke from the cigar in his mouth when he noticed my presence. He was alone in the quiet dark.
"I've been waiting for you," Bobby's voice echoed.
"I'm glad you know why I'm here. Now, you're faking being me while you take advantage of her body?" I gnarled.
He let out a shaky laugh, then jumped down from the car, barechested. "I didn't even have to do so much. Lily was mine in the first place. While I have my share of her body, you also share in the bountiful glory. I never realize that our little play of once upon a time will transform into reality." Bobby walked closer to me.
He wore lens the color of my eyes. Slowly, his lips curled up in a smirk. Without thinking, I flung a fist across his squared jaw. He gasped, touching his bruised jaw.
He let out another dry laugh, stepping away from me briskly. I couldn't see him, I squinted my eyes -trying to adjust my eyes to the poor litted place. I stepped under the dim light emanating from the ceiling hoping I would catch a glimpse of him.
"Did you think I would result in throwing punches on you, Bradley? I have to play your games, bro," he drawled the last word.
I wrenched my head backward, throwing another punch but it only collided with air. "Show yourself, Bobby. Or I'll be forced to.....,"
"To do what?" He appeared before me, his lips curved in a slanted bend. "Report me to the police or tell her how I fucked her explicitly?" He grinned widely.
My hand rolled into another fist, and I let it fly into his face. He dodged and instead smashed a punch into my right ear.
I groaned, propping my hands on my knees. Pain hit me in my ears like a thousand knives stabbing into me. A shrilly bell sounded and I slowly shook my head to wade the sound off.
"I don't want to hurt you, bro. I'll let you fuck her, so don't stop my advances as well. You won't dare to report me or dare to soil your reputation....,"
"Do you think I care about my reputation?" I stood to my feet, interrupting him.
His jaw dropped, then he bursted out laughing. "Hell, you care about your reputation. Remember while you were in college, you wanted everyone to know how perfect you were. You never wanted to be seen with me, no one knew you had a terrible twin for a brother. Who made it so? Me. And I could take that all away." He explained.
I tried a tired smile. He was probably right but I didn't care anymore. He was playing with Lily and that was a no-go area.
"Lily is not someone you can joke with, puck with, and hand over to me like some trophy. This is my last warning to you, Bobby. I'll have no choice but to report your wild activities here to the police." I warned him.
His expression was cold. He didn't say anything even as he watched me leave.
I returned to the house but Lily wasn't in bed. My heart began to beat wildly. My initial thought was that Bobby must have sent one of his boys to kidnap her.
"Lily!" I called out, running to the sitting room, then towards the dining room where we'd made love.
She was in the kitchen, holding a bottle of water to her lips. Her eyes were stricken with fright as she stared at me.
"It's me, Brad," I introduced.
She sighed, came towards me, and slapped my shoulder. "Where have you been? I thought your brother must have taken you away."
I held her hand to my chest, taking the bottle out from her other hand. "We both thought alike. But Bobby can do nothing to you." I assured her, pulling her body into my hard body.
"Where did you go, huh?" Her eyes bored into my eyes.
"Nowhere in particular," I brushed my lips against hers.
"But you weren't in bed when I woke up," she whined.
"I thought I heard something outside, so I loitered around the compound for a while, perhaps to catch an unholy thief." I joked.
"It's not funny," she returned my kiss.
The kiss only grew so intense that she had her hands tugging at my shirt, and my hands wrapped around her squishy behind.
The taste of her lips, the natural scent of her flesh. The feel of her softness threading in the depths of my hands. She was my woman and never his. If Bobby needed more than a warning, I would make sure I give it to him.
"Stay with me, Lily," regrettably, I broke the kiss.
She studied my face. "I am here with you already."
"No, I mean, I want you to live with me. I can't afford to let you return to your place. We can always do everything as a couple. I want you here." I told her.
She scoffed. "Are you serious? Is this all about your brother?"
My finger traced the outline of her protruded nipple on her nighwear. Her breath hitched as I slid to the other twin.
"This isn't about Bobby. I told you he wouldn't be a bother anymore. Or have you noticed anything odd?" I cocked a brow at her as I intensified my circling on her nipples.
She opened her mouth to say something but instead shook her head in negation. I held her gaze as I poked the swollen nipple, while she inhaled deeply.
"Do I get a yes then?" I winked at her.
"Yes," she gasped and my mouth captured hers in a fierce kiss. Pinning her to my body, I kn
ew I was partially winning the battle against Bobby.
I would make love to her in a whole new way so that she would be able to distinguish me from my brother.
Never would Bobby take delight in having my woman.
