Chapter 26 Kayla Nils 4

Chapter 26 Kayla Nils 4
In the morning on the Sanctum of Eldoria, the spaceship landed on the planet. They toward the core of the planet to meet Elders. Everyone feels the dark aura from them.
"what are they?"
"The Black Mist " another Elder answer.
"why are they back again" another Elder asks.
Kayla's father looked at them with curious eyes. Don't know why they come here.
"Hi, elders of Sanctum of Eldoria." A head of black mist greets the elders with a creepy voice.
"Who are you?" Kayla's father asks them.
"I am Lark of Black Mist and your enemy. I'm going to destroy you all if you don't surrender to us," Lark Black Mist said in his creepy voice. Lark Black Mist laughs at that.
"you will never win against us, because we're stronger than you. You'll be destroyed by us. You need to surrender to our master and obey him," the Elders of Black Mist said loudly.
"We won't surrender. We won't become slaves to you. You must leave us alone," Kayla's father said to them.
"how dare you defy us? We, the Black Mist, are the strongest race in the universe. We rule this planet. We own everything and everyone on this planet. You will respect us or we'll kill you all," Lark Black Mist said angrily.
"you're wrong. We have people who fight against you and you cannot defeat them. You can't even beat them. You need to understand that," Kayla's father said.
At that moment Kayla entered the room while Walker followed her from behind.
"leave me out of this. I do not want anything to do with you. Get away from me. Go to hell," Kayla says to Lark Black Mist.
"Kayla, you've always been weak. It's useless to talk to you. You're nothing without us. You can't survive in this world without us. We're the only ones who can save you, Kayla. You belong to us now. You will serve us until the end of your life. You will obey us or you'll be punished," Lark Black Mist says to Kayla.
"get away from me!" Kayla said. "you're weaker than my husband."
Lark Black Mist let out a low, guttural laugh. “Your husband? This mortal? Don’t make me laugh, Kayla.” His shadowy form pulsed with dark energy, tendrils of black mist swirling around him like living creatures.
Walker stepped forward, placing himself between Kayla and Lark. His eyes burned with determination. “You talk a lot, but I don’t see you doing much.” He smirked, resting a hand on the hilt of his sword. “Why don’t you show me just how ‘strong’ you think you are?”
Lark’s amusement vanished in an instant. His form twisted and contorted, shifting like a liquid shadow. “You dare challenge the Black Mist?”
“I don’t ‘dare’—I do.” Walker’s grip tightened on his sword. “Now, come at me.”
The room grew heavier, the air thick with an oppressive darkness as Lark raised his hand. A vortex of shadows erupted from his palm, rushing toward Walker like a raging storm.
But Walker didn’t move. He stood firm, waiting until the last second before striking. His blade gleamed as he slashed through the mist, dispersing it with a single, clean cut.
Lark’s eyes widened. “Impossible!”
Walker tilted his head. “Not impossible—just skill.”
Kayla’s father watched in awe. “His power… it’s cutting through the darkness.”
Kayla smirked. “Told you. My husband is stronger than you.”
Lark snarled. “Enough!” His body expanded, growing monstrous in size. The Black Mist behind him swirled violently, creating a wall of darkness that loomed over them. “I will crush you!”
Walker sighed, cracking his neck. “You guys always say that.”
With a burst of speed, he lunged forward. His sword—glowing with an unseen energy—sliced through Lark’s monstrous form. The creature howled in pain as light erupted from the wound, burning through the shadows like fire consuming dry wood.
Lark staggered back, clutching at his chest. “No… this can’t be…”
Walker stepped closer, his voice calm yet firm. “It’s over, Lark. You don’t belong here. You never did.”
Lark’s form trembled, the darkness around him unraveling. “You… you think you’ve won? This is just the beginning…” His body dissolved into mist, scattering into the air.
The room fell silent. The oppressive weight lifted. The Elders let out a collective breath, relief washing over them.
Kayla turned to Walker, her eyes shining with admiration. “You did it.”
Walker shrugged, sheathing his sword. “Like I said—I’m not losing to some shadowy blowhard.”
Kayla chuckled before stepping closer, resting her forehead against his. “You are amazing, you know that?”
Walker wrapped his arms around her. “And you’re worth fighting for. Always.”
Kayla’s father cleared his throat, a smirk on his face. “Well, Walker… I suppose I should start calling you ‘son-in-law’ now.”
Walker grinned. “Sounds about right.”
Kayla squeezed his hand, her heart pounding. She had faced darkness before, but with Walker by her side, she knew—no matter what came next, they would face it together.

Walker hides inside somewhere in the Sanctum of Eldoria, he wants to check on the hologram screen and see if anything has happened since he went off to fight against Lark.
Walker opens his skill menu.

"I see." Walker was thinking about the universe when he married Lola. That universe looks like his universe and I can't use a magic power like this.

"wow, Kayla is pretty strong to be a mage." Walker was looking at the information of Kayla. "she's not even level 30 though. I wonder why?"
He watches the screen looks at the "Item" tab and sees the equipment inside him
> Earring of Dragon (Activated)
> A Succubus summon spell (not Activated)
"A Succubus summon spell?" Walker was shocked. He never thought that he could summon something like that. he remembers what Abigail gave him.
Walker frowned as he scrolled through his inventory. A Succubus summon spell? He hadn’t even realized he had it. His mind flickered back to Abigail—his mischievous and unpredictable wife. She must have slipped it into his inventory when he wasn’t paying attention.
"Just in case you ever get lonely, darling," he could almost hear her teasing voice in his head.
Shaking his head, he dismissed the thought and focused on the hologram. His eyes moved back to Kayla’s stats. She’s strong, no doubt. But why hasn’t she reached level 30 yet?
He rubbed his chin in thought. Leveling systems differed across universes. In some, power was granted through experience. In others, it was inherited, or even locked behind specific trials. Could it be that Kayla’s strength was restricted somehow?
A sudden flicker on the hologram screen caught his attention. A message.
Nodione> Walker, can you hear me?
Walker straightened.
Walker> I hear you. What’s going on?
Nodione> Something’s wrong. The Black Mist… they’re not gone.
His fingers clenched against the screen.
Walker> What do you mean? I took down Lark myself.
Nodione> He was just a vessel. The real danger is still out there. Be careful. They’re after Kayla.
Walker’s heart dropped. His eyes darted to Kayla’s information again. Alive/Healthy. But for how long?
Just as he was about to respond, the Sanctum trembled violently. Dust and debris rained from the ceiling. Outside, distant shouts echoed through the corridors.
“Walker!”
Kayla’s voice.
Walker shut off the hologram and dashed out of his hiding spot. As he ran, he could feel the air around him thickening with energy—a disturbance unlike anything he had felt before. When he reached the grand hall of the Sanctum, he saw Kayla standing in the center, her sword drawn.
And surrounding her…
Shadows.
They slithered across the walls and floor, writhing and twisting into grotesque figures. Their eyes glowed red, filled with malice.
Walker skidded to a stop beside Kayla. “What’s happening?”
“They came from the darkness,” Kayla said, her grip tightening on her blade. “I don’t know how, but they’re still here.”
A deep, resonant voice filled the room. “The Black Mist does not die so easily.”
From the mass of shadows, a new figure emerged. He was taller than Lark, clad in flowing black robes that shimmered like liquid ink. His face was obscured by a silver mask, but Walker could feel the overwhelming power radiating from him.
“I am Kaldros, the true master of the Black Mist,” the figure intoned. “And you, Walker, are in my way.”
Walker exhaled sharply. This wasn’t going to be an easy fight. He could feel it in his bones.
Kayla stepped forward. “I won’t let you take this place. I won’t let you take my people!”
Kaldros chuckled. “Ah, little Viscountess… you have yet to reach your full potential. But don’t worry. I will help you awaken it—in pain and suffering.”
A pulse of dark energy exploded from Kaldros, sending shockwaves through the Sanctum. Walker and Kayla barely had time to brace themselves before the attack hit.
Walker clenched his fists. No matter how strong this enemy is, I won’t let him take her.
He turned to Kayla. “We fight together?”
She looked at him, her dark green eyes fierce. “Always.”
Walker grinned. “Then let’s show this guy why he should never mess with my wife.”
Kayla smirked, raising her sword. “I like the sound of that.”
As the Black Mist surged toward them, Walker and Kayla charged forward, ready to battle for their lives—and for their love.
