Chapter 56 You were a Complete Mess
The man stepped out of the bathroom smiling.
"Are you ready for me?" he asked, smiling foolishly.
"Of course, I am, my tiger," Eva replied coquettishly. "Arrrrrh," she mimics a tiger cry.
"Arrrrh, my tigress," the man replied, climbing into bed like a lion tactfully approaching a prey.
Eva remained on the bed and allowed the man to catch up with her. He dropped multiple kisses on her, and his hands started travelling everywhere on her body.
"Wait, wait," Eva pushed against him with a smile, but inwardly felt disgusted by the man. "Let's have a drink first," she suggested.
"Oouuh, you like a little help," the man said, smiling flirtatiously. "Strong or moderately strong?" he asked, and a bottle of red wine he had brought in earlier with the two glasses. "Just kidding, I have wine here," he said and smiled, and Eva smiled too.
Eva kept her eyes focused on the glasses so she wouldn't miss the glass she had put the drug into. The man filled the two glasses with wine and placed the bottle on the bedside table. He picked the two glasses up and handed one over to Eva.
"Here you go, my tigress, Arrrrrh," the man said, handing a glass of wine to Eva, but she realised he was offering her the glass she had earlier put the drug into.
"I prefer this one," Eva said, pointing to the other glass.
"I have a better idea, how about you drink it from my mouth?" the man said, and Eva giggled even though inwardly she made a disgusting face.
"I have a better idea. We drink from each other's glass," Eva said and accepted the glass of wine from the man.
"I like it," the man said, smiling foolishly.
Eva accepted the drug wine and crossed arms with the man, and she drank from the man's glass while the man drank from her glass.
Eva took the two glasses and placed them on the bedside table, and they kissed each other. The man kept running his hand over Eva's body while his lips engaged hers. Eva realised the man was getting slow, and soon he was off. She got down from the bed and placed her finger under his nose. He was still breathing, but he had fallen asleep.
Eva quickly put on her clothes and left the man's apartment, leaving him a note that she had a great evening but had to leave.
Outside, Eva walked towards the gate and exited it into the open. She was now inside the estate. It was a huge estate. The question now is, how would she find Bryce's home or where Angela was?
She pulled out her phone from her bag after walking away from the man's house.
"Hello, I am inside the estate now. There are a lot of huge houses here. How do I know which one belongs to Mr Moore or which one Angela is staying in? It's already late," Eva complained.
"I have been to Bryce's home once. I will direct you to his home," Susan replied.
"Great," Eva said, happy there was now a solution.
"How is the man?" Susan asked.
"He is asleep," Eva replied.
"Good. Now this is how you can get to Bryce's home," Susan began and started directing Eva to Bryce's apartment.
After walking for twenty minutes, Eva found Bryce's apartment.
"I found it, but there is a gate," Eva complained.
"Yes, there is a gate," Susan said on the call.
"So how do I find out if Angela stays there or not?" Eva asked, not sure what to do.
"Arrrrrrrrr," Susan roared in frustration. "Ask the security man and tell him you are a friend. If he asks for your name, give a false name. Do that and call me," she instructed.
"Okay," Eva acknowledged and fixed her dress.
She checked if she looked okay. Once she was satisfied with her look, she walked towards the gate and knocked. The security man spoke with her through the security opening in the small gate.
"Hi, I am Emily, a friend of Ms Anderson. She told me she lives here. Just want to be sure I got the right address," Eva said, and the security man stared at her, scanning her up and down.
"Your friend didn't give you the right address?" the security man asked after a while of silence.
"She gave me this place as her address," Eva replied, waiting to hear what the security man would say.
"You do have your friend's number, right?" the security man said.
"Yes, but she is not answering now," Eva said.
"Keep calling till she answers and ask her to come get you," the security man said to Eva, to her surprise.
"Oh!" Eva said.
"Ma'am, you can call your friend. In the meantime, I would advise you to leave," the security man said.
Eva just nodded and pulled her phone out, pretending to make a call. She started walking away from the gate. She dialled Susan's number.
"Okay, they would not tell me anything," Eva reported.
"Okay, go back to the man's place," Susan said.
"What?" Eva exclaimed.
"The man is asleep. His security men would allow you in. You need a place for the night. You can leave at 4 am back to Bryce's place and see things for yourself," Susan said.
"Okay," Eva acknowledged, even though it sounded crazy and returned to the man's place.
The security man allowed Eva in, and she went back to the man's room. The man was still sleeping on the bed, just like she had left him. Eva sat on the couch and stared at the man lying on the bed. As she sat there staring at the man, an idea crossed her mind, and it made her smile.
"I can ask him about Bryce and who Angela is," Eva thought, and with that, she climbed onto the bed.
She lay down next to the man and held him as if they both fell asleep.
The night quickly passed, and it was soon morning. The man woke up to find Eva lying next to him. He tried to recollect the events of the previous night, but Eva also woke up, interrupting her thoughts.
"Hey, you are awake," Eva said, drawing the man's attention to herself.
"Yeah," the man said, looking a bit confused. "Did anything happen last night?" he eventually asked.
"No, you slept off, leaving me hanging," Eva said and moved her feet from the bed to the floor.
"Oh," the man said.
"But now, I have to get ready for my second job," Eva said and stood up from the bed.
"I thought you were a stripper. What second job are you talking about?" the man asked with a frown.
"I am a stripper at night and in the daytime, I am a janitor," Eva said quickly.
"Oh," the man said.
"I have to go now, but can I ask a quick question?" Eva said as she buttoned her blouse. "Mr Moore, does he live alone or does he stay with someone?" she asked.
"Ahhhhhh, you are a spy for someone," the man said.
"No, I am not a spy.....just curious," Eva said.
"You don't fool me. I don't think you are a stripper at all," the man said, and Eva froze.
She swallowed hard and watched the man waiting to hear what he would say next.
"I think you wanted a way to enter into this estate because of Bryce Moore," the man said, and Eva exhaled.
"Is that correct?" the man asked, and Eva didn't know what to say. "Look, I don't care what you want with him. If he goes down, my business becomes the next market lead. Just want to know if I am right," he added, and Eva was not sure if this was a trick to get her to reveal her true intentions or if the man meant his words.
"I see you are not sure whether or not to believe me," the man said and got down from the bed. "Okay, I will give you any information you want about Mr Moore under one condition," he said, and Eva just stared at him. "We finish what we started last night," he said, and Eva frowned.
"Your call," the man said, walking into the bathroom.
Eva stood there, lost in her thoughts. The man returned to the room freshly showered.
"You made a decision?" the man asked.
"Fine, deal," Eva said, and the man smiled.
"Yes, Mr Moore used to stay alone, but not anymore. There is this beautiful girl who moved in with him close to a month ago," the man said. "I will give you the rest of the information and can send you some pictures later," he added.
"Okay," Eva said and climbed back into bed, and the man smiled, joining her in bed.
The two started kissing, and soon Eva's clothes were off her body. She didn't like what she was doing, but it felt like the only way to get the information she wanted to help Susan, and Susan would, in turn, help get the man she wanted, Bernard.
While Eva was busy in bed with the man, back at Bryce's place, Angela had just woken up from her sleep. She sat on her bed holding her head in her hand. She was experiencing a severe headache. This was worse than the previous day's headache. Her phone rang, and it was Zora. She found her phone and lay back down on the bed before answering.
"Hi Zora," Angela said, sounding very tired.
"Hey, girl, what was that all about?" Zora questioned.
"What was what all about?" Angela asked, not getting Zora's question.
"Your movie premiere interview. You were a complete mess. Why would you sleep with a man and put pictures up for all to see?" Zora asked, and Angela sat up quickly, forgetting she had a severe headache.
