Chapter 184 Poisoned - Part 2

Chapter 184 Poisoned - Part 2
Zora found herself resting her head on Elorm's shoulders while they both stared at Angela on the bed. Elorm knew Bryce and Martin were not coming back to the hospital anytime soon because he had someone watching them. He deliberately started caressing Zora's shoulder. Zora was absent-minded, so she didn't pay much attention to what Elorm was doing.

Elorm checked his time and realised Zora was dozing off. He allowed her to sleep a little. He moved his hand to her chest and gently started caressing her chest, and that woke Zora up.

"Elorm, no. I am going out with someone," Zora said and sat up.

"Zora, I never got the chance to touch you. I love you, and you know it. I am not going to do anything, but please give me the chance to know what it feels like to touch your body. I promise you, I am not crossing any boundaries," Elorm pleaded. "Plus, it will help you forget the pain you are feeling now for a couple of minutes. Knowing someone loves and cares about you deeply to the extent of sacrificing his love just to see you happy," he added, and Zora was greatly moved by his words.

For a brief moment, Zora forgot she was in the hospital with a friend battling for her life. The drug Elorm put in her tea to trigger urine, alongside another medication that will make her tired, was making her feel weird.

Elorm held her jaw and captured her lips in a kiss. Zora just sat there, allowing Elorm to kiss her. She was now confused. Martin had been avoiding her for days now. He would not talk to her; he would not even allow her close to himself. Now here is Elorm, a man she loved, who left her suddenly. He was back and explained why he left, which she understood. He didn't do anything wrong except that he is dying.

With these thoughts going through Zora's head, she responded to Elorm's kisses. Elorm took advantage and slipped his hand under Zora's dress and began fondling her chest. Zora began to feel funny between her legs. She was now not sure if it was excitement she felt, or if it was urine she was feeling. Elorm kissed her jawline and moved towards her neck. His hand was now dangerously moving towards the hem of Zora's dress. Zora opened her eyes and realised they were in a hospital. She remembered Angela, and suddenly everything felt wrong.

"Elorm," Zora called out, staring at Angela on the bed over Elorm's shoulder.

"Hmm," Elorm responded, running his hand on Zora's thigh, exposing it to the room as he pushed her dress down to her waist.

"Elorm, wait," Zora said, but felt Elorm's hand go under her.

Her eyes widened, and she was now torn between allowing her body to feel the pleasure and doing the right thing.

Elorm knew she was confused and hence continued to get a feel of her. Angela parted her legs for him as his hand went into her. She hugged him tightly, staring at the door and moving her gaze to Angela.

"Oh, God, this is wrong. What if someone walks through that door?" Zora thought, and this thought gave her the strength to stop Elorm.

"Elorm not here," She said and pushed him away. "I need to use the bathroom," she quickly added, and Elorm moved back, allowing her to get up.

He was on top of Zora a few minutes ago. Zora stood up, clothed in shame as she walked past Angela's bed towards the washroom. She adjusted her dress and slowly pushed the door to the bathroom open.

Elorm knew Zora better and knew she was feeling embarrassed. And for that reason, she will stay a bit longer in the washroom. He removed his shoe and picked up a syringe from it before putting it back on. He stood up and walked to Angela's bed. There was a tube that had been fixed on her to help feed her with liquid food. He pushed the contents of the syringe down the tube. When he was done, he set his time and walked towards the washroom.

"Zora, I am going to get us some food," he said and walked out of the ward after Zora had responded.

Meanwhile, inside the washroom, Zora was sitting on the toilet seat, unable to come out due to embarrassment. She was wondering what she was thinking, allowing Elorm to do that in a situation like this. She was glad Elorm had left. Angela didn't see anything. She slowly stepped out of the washroom and sat on the seat next to Angela, happy Elorm had left. She pulled out her phone and sent Elorm a message.

Elorm, thanks for passing by and keeping me company. I will spend some alone time with Angela, and I don't think Martin and Bryce would be happy seeing you in the ward with Angela and me. I would find a time to do a proper introduction, and from there, you can come around anytime. About today, please let's not do it again.

She read through it and sent it to Elorm. She received a reply from Elorm.

Okay. I understand.

Zora read it and was happy that Elorm was very understanding. She stood up and went to sit on the couch. She was not sure when she dozed off, but the constant beeping of the machines woke her up. When she opened her eyes, there were four people in the room. Three in white and one in a green uniform. They have surrounded Angela.

"Ma'am, please wait outside," the woman in the green uniform said to Zora and pushed her out of the ward.

"What is happening to her?" Zora asked, but got no response.

Bryce and Martin walked into the hallway and found Zora pacing up and down the hallway. Bryce hurried his steps to Zora, and Martin just stopped in his tracks.

"What happened? Why are you outside?" Bryce asked, looking very anxious.

"I don't know. I dozed off, and I heard a beeping sound. I opened my eyes and saw so many people surrounding Angela," Zora said, feeling ashamed of herself.

She has acted oddly all day. She was beginning to think there was something wrong with her. Before Bryce could ask another question, Angela was pushed out of the room with an oxygen mask on, surrounded by four people.

"What is wrong with her?" Bryce asked, pulling one of the men in white.

"We will communicate everything to you once we have the results," the doctor said quickly and left.

"What happened?" Bryce asked Zora through gritted teeth while holding her by the front of her dress.

"I don't know," Zora cried, and Bryce let go of her, seeing she was also crying.

He angrily punched the wall behind Zora so hard that his knuckles turned red immediately, but he felt nothing.

A couple of minutes went by, and it soon turned into hours. As the three paced up and down the hallway, not sure what was happening to Angela. The doctor sent for Bryce.

Inside the doctor's office, Bryce sat down waiting to hear what the doctor had to say. He had just returned to the hospital after taking forever to find Ivan and giving him a warning to back off.

"We are entirely not sure what happened. The surveillance for that ward stopped functioning briefly. From the lab results, your wife was poisoned. We managed to remove the chemical that was put into her system through her mouth, but I'm afraid she will need an immediate kidney transplant. Both kidneys are damaged," the doctor informed Bryce.

"What!" Bryce exclaimed.

"We need to find a donor immediately. If not, we might lose her," the doctor said.

"We share blood. Check if my kidney would help. I am ready to give her mine. Do everything you can to save her. I can't lose her," Bryce said, and the doctor nodded.

"Come with me," the doctor said, and Bryce followed him.

They did their check, and Bryce's kidney was a match. They quickly prepared them both for the theatre. Bryce informed Martin of what was happening and tasked him to look into the matter before he was moved into the theatre.

Martin walked towards Zora angrily and grabbed her by the arms.

"Who came here when we were away?" Martin asked, and Zora just stared at him.

Zora knew if she told Martin that Elorm was there, he would blame him for what was happening to Angela, and she knew Elorm didn't do anything. Again, Elorm was dying, and she couldn't bring herself to mention his name.

"I said, who came here when we were away?" Martin asked, squeezing Zora's arms, but Zora held in the pain. "Was it your new boyfriend?" he asked, and Zora was surprised by this statement.

"Oh dear, he saw Elorm and me, that is why he is cold towards me," Zora thought, but was still not ready to tell Martin Elorm was there.

"No one," Zora lied.
