Chapter 14

Nathan went home with joy in his heart, he had never felt like this for years since his mother left, even though his grandmother had done many things to make him happy and feel impressed, he never felt like this before.

On his way, he was just smiling, smiling on the road and he totally forgot all his pains. He had never had this kind of feelings for anyone before and the fact that the feelings were mutual was a great joy to him.

He got home and Dave could notice how happy he was.

"I guess you won a lotto" Dave said immediately he noticed.

"Well, even if I won a lottery, I won't be this happy"

"Really? So can you tell me what is going on with you, I can see how happy you are, it is so obvious that even any stranger would know"

"Well, I am not hiding it, my face can tell, I am so happy right now and I haven't been this happy for a while"

"Okay, enough of those words, tell me what exactly it is"

"Nathan and Joan are in a relationship"

"Whoa...Tell me you are joking"

"If I should tell you I am joking that is just a lie, I am being sincere right now, I am in a relationship with the love of my heart"

"Whoa... That is so good to hear so wonderful to know, congratulations, glad you have a girlfriend now, at least you won't be lonely, she is someone you can even invite to a party, she is beautiful"

"Party?"

"I mean take around, she is beautiful"

"Thank you, and guess what?"

"What is that?" he asked curiously

"She will finally go home tomorrow"

"Whoa, that is so nice, she is healed already, what was the nature of her sickness?"

"Hmm...She got injured from an accident"

"Ooh, happy to hear that she is okay now"

"Thank you, I am even thinking of getting flowers but I am kind of..."

"I will get you money to get her then"

"Ohh, Dave thank you very much, thanks"

Dave gave Nathan money, and he went to the shopping mall to buy a beautiful bouquet the next morning. After getting it, he went straight to the hospital to avoid not meeting her there. When he got there he was glad to meet his parents there too.

"Welcome my son, you have forgotten that I said I want to you see you"

"Ooh.. I totally forgot, I am sorry about that"

"No problem, do you mind us discussing it now, ooh, you brought a gift for her" He said after checking his hand.

"Yes, sir, this is my small gift from me to you Joan, Congratulations on the healness, it worths and really worth celebrating"

Joan went closer to her and collect it "thank you very much"

Nathan and Joan's father left for the hospital reception, they sat down.

"Nathan, I am sorry for calling you out here, what you did to my daughter had really amazed me, you have shown to be a true friend and really more, could I know the reason for your action?"

"There is no reason for my action, I did what I did because she worth it, when no one could stopped by me, she did without knowing me at all, that is where we met first, that is our first encounter, she is really nice and I need to reciprocate it to her"

"Whoa! She helped and you decided to donate a kidney for her?"

"Yes, you might think what is just go help, like what is there, it might be nothing to you, but it is everything to me, she is amazing"

"Whoa, Alright thank you, but do you need me to do anything for you? You had really turn our story to good, you have become a part of us, and we really need to surprise you for what you did"

"No....No....I do not need anything, I only did for for the help she render, I don't need anything"

"Are you sure?"

"I am very sure about this, I do not need anything"

"If you want millions you can ask for it"

"Not at all, I am fine, I only did it"

"It is fine, we can go back to the ward, you will be following is home, is that fine with you"

"Yes, sure"

"Thank you Nathan"

"My pleasure"

They went to the ward, where she was taken home. Nathan was surprised, the buildings were modern and everything in the house kept surprising him.

"If only my mother didn't do what she did, our house could have been more okay than this" He said to himself

"Nathan, are you not comfortable here, you feel awkward" Joan's mum uttered.

"No, I am fine, probably because it's my first time stepping here, but I am fine"

"Are you sure?" Joan's dad asked.

"Yes, I am," Nathan nodded his head.

They sat down in the living room, prayed and went to the dining table where the food was already served by the maids.

"Ooh, I miss eating at the dining table, I can't wait for my brother to join us"

"He will join us soon"

They started eating, and talking.

"Who are your parents Nathan, where do they stay?" Joan's father asked.

After the question, everywhere was silent.

"Do you hear the question?" Joan's mother asked.

"Hmm, yes, I heard it but I am not sure if I am ready to talk about that, I am sorry, if this sounds like I disrespected you, I am just trying to get over somethings, and talking about it won't help at all"

"Oooh, sorry about that, don't worry about it," Joan said.

"It's fine, hope you are enjoying the food, if you need more let me know" Joan's mother said.

"Thank you, I am fine"

After eating, they went to the living room, they played and joked till it was evening.

"I think I need to start going home now"

"Home? I thought you wanted to sleep over here and I will just drive you to school tomorrow" Joan's dad who was enjoying his company said

"I never plan to sleep over here"

"Do not stress yourself Joan, why not sleep here and we could just go to school tomorrow together"
