Chapter 014

Nancy is the name of the girl who came to the blind date, she is the granddaughter of old master Gu's friend and comrade in the military.

She was from the Tang family in Beijing, as the only daughter of the family she was pampered by her parents and brothers, including her grandfather, and thus she developed an arrogant and willful character.

But Mr. Gu, her grandfather sometimes, he tries to be strict with her to teach her the real deal about life but she is already a spoilt brat.

She goes on a lot of blind dates as long as you are handsome and wealthy.

After the failed blind date, she stormed angrily to her grandfather's study room to express her dissatisfaction with the suitor she met today

"Grandpa" she called arrogantly and you could hear the displease in her tone

"Nian" old master Tang called by her Chinese name which was originally Tang Nian

"How could you arrange such a man for me, he looked so low class and poor, he's not even worth my employee not to talk of a husband....except for his looks he had nothing to write home about.....he..." She started to state her dissatisfaction

"Are you done?" Old Master Tang asked, he looked particularly at the girl ranting on and he signed.

The way everyone in his family treated her made her lose foresight and could not lead a business empire, master Tang shook his head again and faced her

"What are you exactly dissatisfied with?" He asked

"Though his looks were good, he didn't seem to be from our social class so he's so unfit to court me" she declared

"Really? What exactly about him told you his social class from a glance because from your behavior I am sure you didn't even talk with him" Master Tang asked

"His clothes aren't from notable brands I know, they look ordinary and worth just tens of thousands" she scoffed looking in disgust.

Because Master Gu had called him early this morning and the blind date was not preplanned he didn't tell Nancy the person's background

He laughed silently when she kept harping on the fact that his clothes aren't from notable brands, that's because his clothes are custom made!!

If not for the old friendship between him and Master GU, their family's wealth wasn't on par with the Gu's, and his granddaughter was not even worthy of Gu Mohan yet she's here complaining?

"Did you know the identity of the man you referred to as mid-class?"

"Why would I bother, his dressing tells it all" she scoffed

"The same person you referred to as mediocre is GU Mohan whom all girls tried to get his good graces, the person you looked down on is the president of GU corporation, even our family wealth can't match our acclaimed wealth and that of the GU family...you..." The old man got agitated the more he spoke and Nancy just looked down to the ground in regret.

Nancy felt a bomb explode in her mind!

He was the president of Gu Corps, Gu Mohan?

The same person who was the standard she gave herself as a requirement of chasing her

The same person she had a crush on for several years but could only look from afar?

This was a cruel slap on her face!

There's no way she can let this go, no since he came for this blind date he had high expectations for her

Nancy thought to herself, there's no way she'd let it slip by

On the other side

Old Master Gu people had reported to him that the girl left in anger, though it was said that Gu Mohan did nothing he could not help but feel disappointed.

If the girl left in anger then who would eventually marry his grandson, he was already nearing his thirties how could he not worry

At the GU Corps presidential office

Grrg!!

Grrgh!!!

Mohan's phone vibrated endlessly but he didn't even throw it a look

Lucas on the other hand was restless,

"Boss" he called out

Mohan signed, "That brat, from the Tang family"

"Miss Nancy? Didn't she leave in anger?" Lucas was surprised

Though he was standing by the car, the place they met was very open so he saw all that happened.

"She must have found out my identity," Mohan said expressionlessly

He did that intentionally but the lady's attitude portrayed her low mentality, looking down on the poor.

If not for her family being well-to-do from the start at her age what did she achieve?

"Ohh no wonder" Lucas nodded in understanding.

"Just block her number" Mohan ordered and faced his business back.

Nancy after seeing that he refused to pick, was annoyed and stomped her feet in annoyance

Trying the number again, "They said the number you are trying to call is not available" A female electronic device greeted her and she almost cursed out in anger.

"Dammn!!! He blocked me!!!" She yelled and flung her phone off angrily.

After blocking the annoying pest, Gu Mohan faced his work back squarely

Lucas just watched and shook his head on behalf of Nancy.

Who asked her to be so condescending and look down on someone she shouldn't have?

No one apparently

Besides, even If she did suck up to him, it will still be the same result because he's interested in someone else.

GU Mohan pursed at a time and stared at Lucas for a minute before facing his work back.

He had been Informed by the nanny at Meimei's house that the twins would be starting school today And he wanted to take a look, but Lucas wasn't aware of their existence.

In the meantime, he wanted to keep their existence a secret.

He did not want anyone to link the two kids at him, since he was sure his enemies were much closer, he wanted to win Meimei's heart first.

After concluding he faces his work back.

Lucas could only watch as he pursued and worked simultaneously.
