Chapter 257 257 The Night He Chose Her 2
Chapter 257 257 The Night He Chose Her 2
Joseph lowered himself and kissed her again, slower this time, giving her something familiar to hold on to while his hand returned between her thighs. He touched her carefully, finding the sensitive place that made her breath break. Victoria’s body tightened, then opened to him as the pleasure began to build. He caressed her with patience, kissing her mouth while his fingers moved in slow circles that turned her nerves into fire. Her moans grew louder, and soon her thighs parted wider on their own, her body asking for what her shyness could not say properly.
Joseph moved to her breasts again, taking one nipple into his mouth while still touching her. The pleasure became heavy and sweet, building in her lower belly until she did not know what to do with it. He seemed to know exactly how to push her closer without frightening her. Every time she tensed too much, his kiss softened. Every time she chased more, his fingers gave more. Victoria felt herself losing control, and for once, she did not want to be sensible. She wanted to feel it. She wanted him to take her to that place where thinking no longer mattered.
“You are soaking wet. I want to taste you,” he said.
Victoria could only moan. The words should have embarrassed her, and maybe they did, but the need in his voice made her body answer before her pride could. She felt like she was travelling somewhere she had never been before, and Joseph was the one carrying her there. He moved down her body, kissing as he went, until his mouth reached the place he had been touching. The first stroke of his tongue made her jerk with a cry.
He held her hips gently but firmly, keeping her there as he tasted her. Victoria’s hands twisted in the sheets, then went back to his hair because she needed something to hold. The pleasure was too much, too direct, too intimate, and yet she did not want him to stop. He licked her slowly, then with more pressure, finding the place that made her lose breath. She could feel herself coming apart. Joseph could feel it too.
“Come for me, baby,” he said.
The endearment broke whatever restraint she had left. Victoria climaxed with a helpless sound, her back arching as pleasure rushed through her. Joseph did not pull away. He stayed with her, sucking gently while she came, and the intensity made the hairs on her skin rise. For a few moments she felt like she had left her own body. She had touched herself a few times before, trying to understand her own needs in secret, but nothing had ever come close to this. Nothing had ever felt like being wanted and cared for at the same time.
Joseph finally slowed and moved up her body. He looked like he wanted to let her rest, but Victoria reached for him before he could shift away. She did not want it to end there. She did not want to be given pleasure and then left with all the longing still sitting inside her body. She wanted him fully. She wanted to seal what had started between them.
“I am ready,” she said.
Joseph understood what she meant. His eyes searched hers, making sure she was not saying it because she felt she had to. Victoria held his gaze, nervous but certain. He bent and kissed her, and she tasted herself on his lips. It should have made her shy, but the kiss was too delicious for shame to last. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer.
She felt one of his fingers slide gently inside her, and her breath caught. He moved carefully, caressing her inner walls, letting her adjust to the feeling. It felt strange at first, then good, a deep pressure that made her body soften around him. He kissed her through it, murmuring comfort against her lips until the tension eased. Then she felt him position himself at her entrance.
Victoria opened for him, bracing herself because she knew it would hurt a little. Joseph pushed in slowly, his jaw tight with the effort of controlling himself. The slight pain came, sharp enough to make her grip his shoulders, but he stopped at once and kissed her face, her cheeks, her mouth, waiting until she breathed again. The pain faded little by little, and pleasure began to rise beneath it, warmer and stronger as he moved deeper.
He started to move carefully, pumping into her with a hunger he was clearly trying to soften. Victoria could feel the restraint in him. He remembered she was not fully healed. He remembered it was her first time. But the pleasure got to his head too. It got to both of them. Her body began to move with his, uncertain at first, then more eager as the ache changed into something sweet and overwhelming.
“Goddess, Vicky,” he breathed.
He moved faster, still trying not to hurt her, but unable to hide how much she affected him. Victoria clung to him, her nails pressing into his back, her moans becoming rawer as he filled her again and again. He wanted her to come. She could feel it in the way he held himself back, in the way he watched her face, in the way his body trembled with the need to lose control but waited for her instead.
Gradually, Victoria felt herself going over the edge again. The pleasure built differently this time, deeper and more consuming, until her whole body tightened around him. Then she came, gasping his name as wetness followed the release. The relief was intense, almost shocking, and Joseph groaned as her body clenched around him.
He continued to move through it, then stilled with a deep groan and poured himself into her. His release was powerful, shaking through him like something had been torn from his soul. For a moment, he stayed buried inside her, resting over her carefully, his breath hot against her neck. He did not want to pull out. He did not want the closeness to end. But soon he shifted, withdrawing gently before rolling to her side so he would not hurt her with his weight.
He turned to look at her with a smile. Victoria looked embarrassed, her cheeks warm, her eyes avoiding his for a moment. Joseph pulled her close, and she placed her head on his chest, listening to the fast beat of his heart.
“I didn’t know you were a squirter. I like it,” he said, chuckling.
Victoria said nothing. Her face grew hotter, and she pressed her cheek against his chest as if hiding there could save her from the embarrassment. Joseph knew she was worried, so he ran his fingers along her body gently, caressing her with tenderness instead of teasing further.
“I am not a one-night stand kind of guy, Vicky; regardless of what you have heard, this is different for me. I am sure, and I am in this for something permanent. I hope you will let me love you the way I want to without reserve. I promise I won’t break your heart,” he said.
He meant every word, and Victoria heard that. She sniffled because she had never expected this. She had expected to suffer quietly until the crush faded. She had expected Joseph to move on with someone else while she trained herself into exhaustion. She had not expected to be in his arms, claimed by his body and held by his promise. It felt too big, too tender, too unbelievable, but she wanted to believe it anyway.
They spent the rest of the night talking about things that interested them both. Not war. Not Leah. Not Ashley. Not everything trying to tear their lives apart. Just them. Small things. Real things. The kind of things people talked about when they were no longer pretending they did not care. Soon sleep came, and Joseph slept peacefully for the first time in a long time with Victoria in his arms. He knew he was done searching. She was the one.
Morning finally came, and with it came the thing neither of them wanted to think about for too long. It was time for him and Adam to go to Ceenas. He had told Victoria about the trip during their night conversation, and even then, it had felt wrong. They had just found each other. They had just crossed the line that had been sitting between them for weeks. Now he had to leave. But the trip was necessary. Ashley was in Ceenas, or she had been. Sebastien was there. The anonymous Alpha’s shadow was tied to all of it. They needed answers if they were ever going to solve the problem and move on with their lives.
Joseph made love to Victoria again before leaving that morning. Slower this time. Softer, but no less intense. He wanted the memory of her on his skin while he was gone, and she gave herself to him with a quiet trust that made leaving harder than he expected. When he finally dressed to go, he could not stop looking at her.
He could not wait to come home. Now he knew exactly how Ethan felt when he fell in love. It was indeed different from the others.
