Darkness

Darkness
Somewhere in the southern part of Detroit.

Wall's street was one of the most popular streets in Southside Detroit.

The legendary street was actually a relic of the past having been created back during the nine gruesome years of the great depression.

Originally part of a shanty town, it was the only reminder of the great depression. In an act of cultural and heritage preservation the local government named the street as a local heritage site.

While most of the surrounding areas had changed drastically, wall's street still remained the same and as you might have guessed it soon became a tourist attraction that earned the locals a lot of money.

Seeing this many tried to get their hands on the buildings of the old street after seeing the business opportunities it held but unfortunately the locals weren't dumb.

One of the major attractions was the Grey yard cafe which started out as a broth house before transitioning into a cafe in the early 21st century.

If you visited wale street without visiting Grey yard you probably didn't come close to walls street.

On a normal day the cafe would be filled to the brim with both tourists and locals but today was different.

For one the bubbly cafe was quiet. The sign hung on the door read” sorry were going through some renovations." Had already turned away a lot of grumbling customers and tourists. Despite demanding a reason, the staff still insisted that there was no service today.

“Were going to cause some losses for the boys today eh?"

“Not like I care though?"

Surprisingly, inside the “closed cafe" two men could be seen sitting relaxedly at the table closest to the bartender.

The first man had a grisly bear like look with a huge amount of facial hair that further accentuated his bear like look.

The other man on the other hand was more human like. However, what he lacked in size he made it up with the air of ruthlessness that seemed to permeate the space around him.

Anyone who was sharp enough would know that this man had a lot of blood on his hands.

“Whare the hells is that twit?! I hate his stupid time games!" Growling bear man squeezed the coffee mug in his hand nearly breaking it in the process.

“You already kn—” the calmer man was just about to reply when the bell at the entrance of the cafe suddenly jingled signalling the entrance of someone. Simultaneously, their eyes darted towards the door where a middle aged woman dressed in an all black suit and Bowie hat stood in silence.

In that instant three pairs of eyes met in a crosshold.

For a scanty few seconds it seemed like they were having a staring contest before the bloodthaorsty gentleman suddenly broke the silence.

“Haha, if you guys aren't stopping now the coffees gonna get cold!"
Immediately the tense atmosphere suddenly evaporated like it was never there in the first place.

The lady slowly walked over to the table while pushing her hair to the side.

“Surprisingly you managed to keep the brute from smashing the table.” Sneering, she gave the brute bear man a once over before settling down opposite the other two.

“You—”
.”Igor calm yourself!"

Seeing g that the two were about to start fighting the bloodthaorsty gentleman man felt a headache coming on.

Seeing as these three were one might think they were a random bunch of old geezers catching up but the guess was ever so far from the truth.

If anyone ever recognized these three for who they truly were they would only say one word ;” the three demons of Detroit!"

Yes! These unassuming, rowdy trio was none other than the three bosses of the strongest mafia gangs in Detroit!

The bear-like man was Igor Stravinsky, boss of the Emerald cartel.

The supremely cold woman was Diane Malachi boss of the Jade Dharma gang.

The gentle looking old man on the other hand was none other than Michael Sven boss and all time leader of the Red jacarandas

Together the three were the the ruling powers of Detroit's underworld feared and revered by both the commoners and even the government.

Normally, the three would stay in their territories not really having much of a communication between them but that was only to the public eye, in reality, they were not against working g together just like now.

It was unbelievable to imagine that the crime overlords of Detroit would be this rowdy though as it took the Michael quite some while to get them away from tearing at each other's throats.

“Alright, alright let's get straight to the point we came here for or else." Finally having enough, a dangerous gljnt passed through Michaels eyes, reluctantly the two finally stopped their bickering.

“Finally peace, Landon.." pausing a bit, Michael took a sip of his coffee before signalling to the man standing at the bar. A laptop was brought and muttering g thanks he turned to the two.

“What you said in your letter, how true was it?"

Before he could speak though, Diane took the words away from him. Igor could only scratch his head but still he too was interested.

“Wait a bit will you, here."

Turning the laptop around, he showed them a set of pictures. At first the two were puzzled but then their eyes narrowed. Seeing this Michael nodded as he had the same reactions as them when he first saw it.

The scenes were enough to make ones breakfast turn on itself but for these people who had a lot of blood on their hands it wasn't much. However, they still frowned showing how disconcerting the images were.

“I'm sure you know who that is but in case you don't he's Antonioni, an external who managed some of the assets on the outer section of the city for me.”

" And what does this have to do with us?” Directing a questioning glance at Michael Igor asked before his eyes turned dangerously narrowed.

"...or are you accusing us of killing him?” The air seemed to hum as the muscles of man-bear tightened. Diane on the other hand also shifted slightly in her seat as her eyes narrowed, her hand that was on the ladybag she was holding clutched it even tighter as the reassuring barrel fit her hands. For the first time she agreed with Igor.

Was Michael accusing them of killing his man?

Naturally, all their small movements didn't elude Michael, however, he only smiled.

“Of course not, however…” pausing, a playful smile hung on my Michaels lips as he continued. “....wouldn't you want to know where Torr and Marcus also went to.”

As he said this the images on the screen suddenly changed to two bodies that the two recognized too well.

Immediately, their expression changed from one of anger to wariness mixed with fear.

"You—"
“It's not what you think, I didn't kill them.”

Hearing Michael say this the two were relieved but then their heart started burning even stronger. However, they patiently waited since they knew Marcus wouldn't leave them hanging like that.

And sure enough he did t waste their time.

“According to what we were able to reduce and the clues left somebody kidnapped them and forcibky extracted information from then through tortured before finally ending their lives.”

“While we dont know what they asked we managed to figure out the identity of the perpetrators.”
From the gold watch locket hangi
ng on his arm, Marcus pulled out the brass casing of a bullet before rolling it towards the two.

“Rodmont!"
