Under the Mafia's Shadow

“They want you dead.” I managed to say, my voice barely audible. “I don't care!” He yelled. “Its not possible, the two most powerful Mafia's want you dead Conrad.” The tears I tried so hard to conceal all came pouring down. I didn't want to leave him. I didn't want to go. “I don't fucking care.” He's words hung tight in the air.” It's you Veronica, I want you.” He whispered the words I so badly longed to hear. “The rest can all burn in hell.” **** All he ever knew was pain. She wanted to be his comfort.
