Chapter LXIV
Alex
We finally arrived in the city. I was accompanied by Rosa and Andressa while Manoela and her grandmother took care of Maria. To be honest, I'm still worried about my girlfriend, but I can't let this concern take over me. I need to be strong in this moment.
"Yes, you need to be strong," a voice echoes in my mind. It's familiar to me, and honestly, I would never have imagined that it would return so suddenly. It's Hogan. He's in my mind.
As I was about to say something mentally, just as he spoke to me, I hear Rosa say, "We've arrived!"
Indeed, it was typical of a witchcraft store. Various dolls adorned the display, along with some items for witches. It had a dark color, and so I enter the store with the girls.
The interior, unlike the dark exterior, had a purple-orange hue. It looked like a Halloween store, but I didn't pay much attention to it.
There were many items of various types in the store. Since the witch who owns it hasn't appeared yet, we took a moment to contemplate each item. Dolls, small cauldrons, brooms, hats, capes—there was every kind, and I confess it was giving me shivers.
"Can I help you?" a familiar voice fills our ears, and when we turn to see who it is, I couldn't imagine it would be that person... Aura!
"Aura?" I inquire.
She looked different than usual. Instead of wearing a white cape, she wore a black cape and had gothic-style makeup on her face. Is it the same person, or is it just my impression?
"It's so good to see you three!" Aura said with a smile. She seemed happy to see us, but I don't understand how she had this appearance so suddenly. "After everything was resolved at that moment, I decided to invest in some business, and then I decided to open a store selling witchcraft items."
"But why witchcraft?" Rosa asks, confused.
"It's one of my specialties, but mainly, my most remarkable specialty," Aura replied. "I didn't think it would sell so much. I thought witches and wizards didn't exist in this area, but they do, and they're everywhere. We can't see them clearly, but they appear to us when least expected."
I just nodded. I understood Aura's perspective on witches, and I confess I was impressed. If I stopped to think, it seems like not everyone had this witch-like appearance, but we can identify them by the places they go, like this one, for example.
"But anyway, what do you wish for?" Aura asks.
"We want a potion to alleviate Maria's symptoms," I replied.
"Is she sick?" Aura asks.
I just nodded, and then I see her leave, saying she would prepare something for her. However, after five minutes, she comes back to ask about her symptoms. I answered with everything she had, and Aura took notes and hurried to the inner part of the store.
The three of us waited and talked about the surprise of encountering Aura so suddenly. As much as it was like that, it was also good because she appeared at the last minute.
After half an hour, she appears with a potion in hand.
"I created a special potion for her because, like her, you are also special," Aura said. "Not only you but everyone around you." She smiles and hands me the potion, which is in a small, slender bottle of purple mixed with black.
"You can drop just one drop in her food or drink. Maria will feel drowsy and sleep for twelve hours, but it will be good because she will be recovering more and more from the symptoms," Aura said.
I was impressed with the potion's function, just like Rosa and Andressa.
"I hope it works," I said still impressed.
"Don't worry, it will work," Aura replied with a smile.
Then each of us hugged her and thanked her for helping us.
Maria, you'll be fine. I'm sure of it.
We said goodbye to Aura and asked her to come visit us someday. She replied that she would do that and that when least expected, she would be among us.
