Chapter 19

*****Faye's POV*****

"So you actually shared a bed with a boy... who wasn't me for once... how did that go?!" Mike laughs, as we sit in the back of the car - on our way to check out some of Italys most fabulous boutiques.

Last night Jaxon (although I had protested and offered to sleep on the floor) insisted that I slept on the bed with him. His argument was that 'it was that big that I wouldn't even know he was there'.

Truth be told, the man practically smothered me in my sleep the whole night, with his large tree trunk arms wrapping around my body.

He also spent the night (what sounded like) arguing with himself - all words that I couldn't quite make out - whilst his grip on me would tighten and loosen every so often.

Let's just say that it was an awkward morning... one in which he has practically avoided and not spoken to me at all.

"It was... an experience." My cheeks flare as I find my words, not wanting to discuss the matter in front of one of Jaxons drivers...

Mike glances over me, before laughing at my state and shaking his head.

"What?!" I throw my hands out, not liking his questioning look...

"Girl, you like him!" He suddenly states, as I release a horrified gasp and slap his arm.

"I do not!" I defend myself instantly, completely offended that my friend would even assume such a thing.

Jaxon has so far been nothing other than my kidnapper. Let's not forget that he is also a murderer - who not to mention - is borderline forcing me into marrying him on top of all of that!

"Suit yourself doll but I can see right through you... and regardless, you'll be marrying that man tomorrow so you best get used to calling him your hubby!" Mike states the obvious, as I throw my head back on the seat and close my eyes with a sigh.

That still doesn't even sound real.

"But the good news is, he said yes to practically everything that you wanted so we just need to find you a dress and book your style team... if we can even find one for tomorrow that is!" Mike explains, having had a conversation with Jaxon before we left.

All I had gotten from him today was the usual threats and warnings, followed by the 'just buy whatever you want' bargain. It was a bitter sweet deal at the end of the day.

I close my eyes, fighting back the many doubts and fears that crept into my mind... I was actually set to marry this man tomorrow - who I barely know anything about.

"Miss, we are here. I will wait at the car for you when you are done. If you wish to place your bags in the car at any point then just give me a shout!" The kind driver states, as we smile and thank him before climbing out of the car.

We step out onto the streets, seeing the expensive looking stores lining our surroundings. The people around us also matched the scenery in their expensive hats, bags and sunglasses as they busied themselves and waltzed around with not one care in the world.

I smile slightly, feeling thankful that I could now spend a real day in Italy with Mike. I finally had some freedom away from Jaxon, and on the good side of all of this - we could go on a total once in a lifetime shopping spree!

The Italian streets where busy yet calming to me, as my eyes roamed the area - taking in the elegant signs of each unique store.

I could have never even dreamed of being here, let alone shopping here!

I suddenly jump out of my trance when hearing another car door slam shut, only to see Nico and Seth climbing out of a nearby vehicle...

Of course he didn't trust us to come here alone... what a dick!

"Don't worry guys we have our own wedding shopping to do, don't let us bother you!" Nico laughs at our faces, as I grab Mike and storm towards the large bridal store directly across the street in an attempt to get away from them.

We where due to meet with Rinna - I think that's what the girls name was - who Jaxon said was organising the wedding details.

The store was called 'Bella Boutique' and the butterfly's slowly crept their way into my stomach as we entered the store and began climbing the white glossy staircase.

"Good afternoon and welcome to Bella! My name is Florence and I'm going to be your bridal consultant today! First of all, your fiancé has booked a private room for you and has informed us that the sky is the limit with your budget which is great! Now I understand this wedding is very last minute yes? Let's try and find the perfect dress for you that doesn't need many altercations."

My mouth grows dry as I study the tall blonde woman as she beams at me on our arrival. She seemed nice and genuine, but the way she spoke about my fiancé and how last minute our wedding was made me want to run for the hills.

I mean, why me? Why am I even in Italy? In a damn bridal store?!

I soon realise that I'm daydreaming again, as I feel Michael tug at my arm to pull me along behind him as we followed Florence through the elegant store.

I gawked at the shop as we fully entered, the walls seeming freshly painted white to match the thousands of dresses. I also noticed the gorgeous blush pink decor throughout, as we passed by the rest of the staff who smiled and offered us a 'hello'.

I feel like I don't deserve to be here... I feel totally out of place...

"Here we are!" Florence opens another door, leading us into an enormous room covered in more white gowns.

There was a blush pink curtain in the corner signalling a dressing room, along with a small circular stage in the centre of the room which faced into a huge crystallised full length mirror.

"Hi there! You must be Faye? I'm Rinna it's so nice to meet you!" I turn to notice the other woman who was now stood in the room with us - a note book in hand.

Her auburn hair sat perfectly curled on her shoulders as she reached her hand out to shake mine - before returning to fix her glasses.

She looked to be in her late twenties, and gave me the impression that she was sort of shy.

"Hi!" I finally croak out, moving my hand to rub at my increasingly dry throat.

"Oh! We have champagne!" Florence remembers, as she claps and moves to fetch the already made up glasses.

"Don't mind if I do!" Mike states, taking the glass from her as she returns before holding it up high...

"Here's to Faye finding the perfect dress!" He announces, as we all clink glasses, seeing my hand quiver slightly as I lift it to take a slow sip.

Let's get this over with then shall we...
