Deep breath. We did it. We reached the end. And I am not okay.

Like, what do you mean I have to stop writing about Jaxon and Paige? What do you mean I have to move on with my life? Do you expect me to just go outside, breathe fresh air, and pretend that no one is trying to kidnap me for mafia reasons or worship me like I personally put the stars in the sky? Be serious.

Writing this book was an experience. And by “experience,” I mean this consumed my entire existence. At this point, I’m pretty sure Jaxon and Paige are embedded in my DNA. I was thinking about them in the shower, in the grocery store, while I was supposed to be listening to people talk. Like, did you really expect me to focus on the weather when I had a dark, brooding ex-hitman and a fierce, brave translator running for their lives and falling in love in Portugal? No. You set me up for failure.

And now, we need to talk about the real issue here.

Jaxon Steele.

Jaxon, who has completely ruined my expectations for real-life men. Like, am I supposed to be impressed by a guy who texts me back within five hours when Jaxon literally moved to another country to give Paige a new life, memorized an entire storage unit's worth of security codes, and learned to cook just to make her happy??? Am I supposed to swoon over someone who remembers my Starbucks order when Jaxon was ready to burn the entire world down to protect his girl? Be so serious.

I even went outside to check if any real-life men could measure up. Guess what? Not a single morally gray assassin in sight. Just a dude wearing slides with socks, walking around like he has a single thing in common with Jaxon Steele. Disrespectful.

So, obviously, the only solution is for us to keep reading about fictional men. 😌📖

And guess what? I have just the thing.

If you need another book to rip your soul apart (in the best way possible, obviously), let me introduce you to my other book:

✨ KEEPING HER. ✨

Now, if you thought one dangerously obsessed man was a lot, what if I told you this book has... four. Yes. Four. Four men.

The story follows a girl who was supposed to be kidnapped. Four men, all trying to escape a life of crime, took her to use her as leverage. They thought she was just a means to an end. But instead? They fall in love with her. All. Four. Of. Them.

So now, she has to navigate a situation where she doesn’t know if she can trust them. Where danger is still out there. Where the men who were supposed to be her captors are now the only ones keeping her safe. It’s dark, it’s intense, it’s full of tension, and yes—there are four of them, and yes, they all love her.

If that sounds like something you need in your life immediately, you can go read it right now. But if you’ve already read it (or after you finish), I need your help.

WHAT SHOULD I WRITE NEXT?!

Do we want another dark, possessive romance? Do we want another morally gray man who will drop everything just to keep his girl safe? Maybe a fake marriage, but with actual tension that will destroy us? Or enemies to lovers where they’re really, really trying not to fall, but it’s already too late?

I need ideas. I need inspiration. I need an excuse to avoid real life and keep creating fictional men who ruin our standards. So drop a comment and tell me what you want next.

Seriously though—thank you.

Thank you for reading. For loving Jaxon and Paige with me. For joining me in completely obliterating our real-world expectations. I appreciate you guys so much, and I can’t wait to bring you along for the next story.

Until then... stay delusional, keep simping for fictional men, and never settle for less than Jaxon Steele. 😌💘

xoxo,
Harper Rivers
