Chapter 1
Ria's Pov
"Don't worry about me mom, I'll be absolutely fine, it's just a matter of a few years" , I said to my mom tirelessly.
I belong from a business family , my father Rajesh Mittal , a businessman and CEO of Mittal Group based in India , USA and parts of Europe. My mother Parthvi Mittal who always accompanies my father during his business trips, also serves as a managing head of Mittal Group. Rihaan Mittal is my brother , the COO (Chief operating officer) of the company and would be CEO.
Currently, I'm in my room packing all the other essential stuff which is required during my stay in the US. Yes, I'm going to the US to pursue a discipline in economics from Xyz University.
"Finally it's a dream come true moment I'm being able to go out there based on my merit mom", with
tears of happiness in my eye I said to my mom.
I have always been that type of girl who always strived for hard work and I do not believe in getting something with a pinch. During my school days I always topped my exams and fortunately I was lucky enough to score 98. 7% in my 12th board examination. It was my dream to get into Xyz University and finally this is the moment .
The next day
"Mom, will you please stop worrying about me? I'm just going to college and not leaving forever. Please make sure you accompany dad safely on your way to Australia"I muttered.
"And I'll take care of myself, don't worry"I said with a sigh.
"Is that all you are carrying, if anything is left out don't ask me to bring it to you"said Rihaan (my brother) .
"I will not, now will you please mind dropping me at the airport?" , I rolled my eyes at him .
No matter how much he annoyed me, he still loves me the most and I could sense his sadness. Being the eldest one by 4 years he cared for me like my parents.
After 40 minutes of riding my family came to drop me off at the airport. It was such a heartbreaking moment for me to say goodbye to those people without whom I couldn't leave a single day. They are my whole heart. And I was accompanied by Rihaan to my University.
After I and Rihaan got settled in the plane there was an announcement:
"Good afternoon everyone , the plane is going to take-off within 5 minutes. We also ask that your seats and table trays are in the upright position for take-off. Please turn off all personal electronic devices, including laptops and cell phones. Smoking is prohibited for the duration of the flight. Thank you for choosing Qatar Airways. Enjoy your flight", announced the captain from the cockpit.
The journey of new hopes and brighter future begins.
