Kara took the jewelry box and opened it.
She found that there were two pieces missing from the jewelry box. One was an emerald ring, and the other was a pendant of Lantian jade.
These two pieces of jewelry were very valuable!
"Kathleen, there's something missing."
"Your mother's jewelry is all here. I haven't touched them before!" Kathleen argued, "Kara, are you looking for an excuse to plot against me?"
"I believe you didn't take it. However, are you sure your mother didn't touch it either?" Kara sneered coldly.
Hearing this, Kathleen became angry and said, "Kara, enough is enough."
Seeing her angry face, Kara took a deep breath. She was already very satisfied to be able to retrieve these pieces.
However, she would definitely make them give back everything that belonged to her mother!
"Libby, go tell Uncle James that a guest has come. Ask him if he wants to come down."
When Kara spoke to Libby, she blinked. Libby nodded and went upstairs.
Kathleen thought that she would soon see James. She was excited with blushed cheeks, and she stared at the second floor expectantly.
However, after waiting for a few minutes, she only saw Libby coming downstairs. She anxiously stared at Libby, asking, "Libby, why isn't Mr. James coming down?"
Libby did not look at her. She walked over to Kara and said respectfully, "Miss Kara, Mr. James said that he is busy working, and he doesn't want to meet any guests now."
"Well," Kara nodded and turned to Kathleen. "Uncle James says that he is busy with his work. Do you want to continue waiting or go back now?"
"Kara, you, you said you would help me!" Kathleen was so angry that her face turned flushed.
In order to collect all her mother's jewelry, she boasted to her mother that she would definitely take this opportunity to win Mr. James' favor, but she didn't expect this little bitch Kara to play tricks!
Kara shrugged, saying, "I've help you call him. Do you want me to take off his clothes and send him onto your bed?"
"Kara, you...."
"If you're willing to wait, you can continue. I have homework to do. I'm going upstairs." Kara ignored her and carried the jewelry box upstairs.
Kathleen stared at her, and her face was twisted out of anger. She wished she could strangle her.
....
Early in the morning, after jogging, Kara walked back to the villa exhaustedly.
She lay on the sofa and didn't want to move.
James saw her lying on the sofa with sweat all over her head. Her back was also wet. He was worried that she would catch a cold and let her go upstairs.
Kara shook her head. Her calves were trembling, so she couldn't go upstairs at all.
He stood up helplessly and picked her up.
Kara was suddenly frightened that she immediately hugged his neck and leaned against his embrace with a smile.
"Uncle James, you're so kind."
"Even if I'm not here, you should also exercise."
This morning, he knocked on her door and wanted to take her to go for a morning jogging. This little girl even dared to lock the door and lay in! So, he ignored her the whole morning.
Now she had grasped the opportunity. How could he not see that she was trying to curry favor?
Seeing how exhausted she was, James' heart melted with pity. He did not deliberately make things difficult for her, but for her health.
Kara saw that he was still with a stern face, so she lowered her head and apologized.
"I see. I will remember what you said."
The little girl apologized obediently, and James' expression relaxed slightly.
"I'm going on a business trip. Be good."
"Yes, I will definitely be a good kid." Kara immediately said and raised her small hand to swear an oath.
Kara changed her clothes and went downstairs. Seeing Libby preparing breakfast, she asked softly,
"Libby, did Kathleen wait late yesterday?"
"Miss Kathleen has been waiting for around three hours."
Thinking about how Kathleen had made her lose a good night's sleep last night, Libby's expression turned gloomy.
"I don't like her. Mr. James doesn't like strong smell. She wore too much perfume. If Mr. James met her, he would definitely drive her out of the villa."
"I didn't expect her to be quite patient." Kara was surprised.
Hearing James' footsteps, she immediately shut her mouth and blinked at Libby, revealing a mischievous smile.
Libby chuckled. She turned around and went to the kitchen.
"Uncle James, I have something to confess."
Kara lowered her head and stood in front of him like a student who had done something wrong and waited for the teacher to punish her.
