Maddie POV
The bass thrummed through the small room, a sultry rhythm that pulsed like a second heartbeat. The red light bathed everything in a hazy, sinful glow and Maddox sat there, sprawled in that plush chair like a king waiting to be entertained. I can't lie, he was definitely a king. "What are you thinking Maddie." My hands flew to block my lips.
His dark eyes locked on me, that infuriating smirk still playing on his lips, daring me to give in or fight back. I wasn’t going to give in like the way he wanted but I would play his game, twist it and make it mine. If he thought he could control me, I would show him just how wrong he was.
I stepped onto the small stage, my heels clicking against the surface, the skimpy black outfit clinging to my curves like a second skin. My heart pounded, I gripped the pole, the cool metal grounding me and I let the music take over, letting it guide my body while my mind sharpened into something calculating.
If Maddox really wanted a show, I was going to give him one he was never forget, and it was going to be on my terms.
I started slow, rolling my hips in time with the beat, my movements were slow and... teasing. My hands slid up the pole, my body arching slightly as I leaned back, letting my hair cascade down my shoulders. I kept my eyes on him, not breaking eye contact, and I let out a slow, seductive smile, a smile that said I’m in control now.
His smirk faltered for a fraction of a second, his eyes darkening as they tracked every move, and I felt a rush of power. Good, let him squirm.
I spun around the pole, my legs wrapping around it as I dipped low, my body stretching in a way that made the fabric of my outfit pull tight, accentuating every curve. The music pulsed harder, and I matched it, my movements growing bolder, more provocative.
I slid one hand down my side, tracing the line of my hip, my fingers lingering just long enough to draw his gaze. His jaw tightened, and I caught the way his hands gripped the arms of the chair, and his knuckles immediately whitened. Got you. Tsk.
I stepped off the pole, closing the distance between the stage and his chair, my hips swaying with every step. The air between us seems to be thick with tension and I leaned forward slightly, letting my hair fall over one shoulder as I gave him another smile—this one slow, teasing, and dripping with intent.
“Enjoying the show, ....Daddy?” I purred, throwing his word back at him, my voice low and mocking, but laced with just enough heat to make him wonder. But he seemed to know how to control his emotions. Damn Maddox.
His eyes flared up with a mix of amusement and hunger, and I saw the way his chest rose faster, betraying the calmness he was trying to project. “Careful, princess,” he murmured, his voice rougher now, like he was fighting to keep control. “You’re playing with fire.”
“Maybe....I like fire, but one thing is for sure—not everyone can burn me.” I shot back, my smile widening as I turned, giving him a view of my back as I rolled my hips again, slow to make him clutch the arms of the poor plush chair.
I walked almost closer to him letting the music guide my movement. I glanced over my shoulder, catching his gaze, and arched my back just enough to make the outfit ride up slightly, teasing him with what he couldn’t have—not unless I decided to give it.
I spun back to face him, stepping closer, so close I could feel the heat radiating off him. I leaned in, my hands resting lightly on the arms of his chair, caging him in for a moment as I let my body sway to the beat, my lips just inches from his. My smile was all games and all challenge, daring him to make a move, to break first. “You think you own me?” I whispered, my breath brushing his ear. “Watch me make you beg.”
His smirk returned, but it was tighter now, his eyes burning with something that made my heart race—was it anger? desire? or maybe both. “You’re pushing it, Maddie,” he growled, but his voice was menacingly low but guess what? This moment, it sounded almost a plea and I reveled in it.
My body straightened, stepping back onto the stage, my movements growing bolder and more sensual. I let my hands slide up my body, from my hips to my neck, my fingers tangling in my hair as I tilted my head back, exposing the line of my throat. I dropped low, my knees bending as I rolled my hips in a slow, hypnotic circle, my eyes never leaving his.
I wanted him to want me, to crave me, to feel the same pull I had felt last night and hated myself for. But this wasn’t about giving in—it was about power. About showing him I could play his game and win. I spun around the pole again, faster this time, my body fluid and confident, and when I faced him again, I let my lips part in a teasing, seductive smile, my tongue darting out to wet them just enough to drive him crazy.
His hands twitched, like he was fighting the urge to reach for me, and I felt a surge of triumph. “What’s wrong, Maddox?” I said, my voice sweet but laced with venom as I stepped off the stage again, circling his chair like a predator. “Not used to being the one who is out of control?”
He leaned forward, his eyes locked on mine, his smirk gone now, replaced by something else and I fear this, this wasn't good. “You’re good, princess,” he said, his voice sounded dangerously low. “But don’t think for a second this changes anything, you’re obviously still mine.” what was wrong with this man? Was he being serious right now? Anyway let's just pretend it doesn't affect us, right? Now.
I laughed, a soft, taunting sound, and leaned in close again, my lips hovering just above his, close enough to feel his breath, but I obviously wasn't going to touch him. “Keep dreaming,” I whispered, then pulled back, my body still moving to the music.
It sounded like the song was nearing its end, and I gave it everything, letting my body flow with the beat, my movements became more seductive and confident.
As the final notes faded, I stopped, standing just out of his reach, my chest heaving and my skin flushed, but my smile still in place— a sharp defiant and victorious smile. “That’s all you get,” I said, my voice firm despite the way my heart raced. “I’m done here, Maddox. I’m walking out.”
His eyes burned into mine, and for a moment, I thought he might lunge and maybe, grab me and drag me back to his house. Typical Maddox, he could do just that. But he didn’t move, he just sat there, his lips curved in a smirk. “Run all you want, Maddie,” he said hoarse like a growl. Was he a wolf? “I’ll find you and I'll always do.”
I turned and pushed the door open, then I stepped into the hallway, I knew Maddox wasn’t going to let me rest, so I'll just have to play along for a while and I hope I run off from that freak, even if my body needed the opposite.
