♥ CHAPTER 15 ♥

Hilary Carter.

6:00 PM '' Hilary's House, New York, USA

We got out of the car and entered our home.

"Let's get ready. I don't want to hear any excuses; we’re going out for a date tonight," I said, making him laugh.

"I know that, darling. I’m not changing my mind; we’re definitely getting ready," he said with a smile.

We headed to our rooms, and I stopped walking, looking at him.

"What’s wrong?" he asked, noticing me standing in the hallway.

"We’ve been dating for a week. Why are we still sleeping apart?" I asked seriously.

He sighed and walked over to me.

"I thought you might not want to share a room yet, so I didn’t bring it up." I rolled my eyes.

"My love, from the first day you came here, I wanted you to share the room with me." He ended up laughing at that.

"Then, since tomorrow is Saturday, we can move things to our room." I gave a big smile and gave him a long, sweet kiss.

"Perfect. I can’t wait to sleep next to you all the time." He brushed his thumb against my cheek.

"I love you," I said with a smile.

"I love you too." He kissed the tip of my thumb. "Now let’s get ready. I want to look beautiful for my man."

"Yes, ma'am," he joked, making me laugh.

"Clown."

We went into our rooms, and I went straight to my wardrobe.

"What dress to wear tonight?" I thought to myself.

I picked out a black dress with a V-neck, which was quite long, and also chose a pair of black high heels to match. I set aside a red lingerie set on top of the dress and went straight to the bathroom to get ready for my man.

I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed, seeing that I looked stunning for my man. My hair was down, and the dress made my breasts look great. I wasn’t getting ready for anyone but my wonderful boyfriend.

Tonight is going to be simply perfect.

I grabbed my phone, put it in my clutch, and walked to the door to leave the room. I was surprised to see that we had both opened our doors at the same time.

"Wow," I said, and we both laughed.

I looked at him and smiled when I saw him wearing a black suit.

"You look absolutely handsome, my love," I said, approaching him and adjusting his tie.

"You look absolutely stunning as always, darling." He kissed my lips.

"Shall we go? Our reservation is at eight, and it’s already seven-thirty." He nodded.

"Yes, let’s go."

We intertwined our fingers and left the house.

"You drive." I tossed the car keys to him.

"Are you sure?" he asked after catching the keys.

"Of course, I trust you." He smiled.

We got into the car, and I fastened my seatbelt.

"I’ll guide you to the restaurant," I said as he fastened his seatbelt.

"Yes, ma'am." I rolled my eyes, making him laugh. "I enjoy joking about that."

"I noticed."

I started guiding him to the restaurant I knew, a nice place where we could have a relaxed dinner.

7:55 PM '' Restaurant, New York, USA

"Stay here," he said, leaving me puzzled.

He got out of the car, walked around, and opened the door for me.

"Miss," he extended his hand to me, making me smile.

"Sir," I took his hand and closed the car door. "My gentleman," I teased.

"Only yours, my beautiful." He kissed my forehead.

We intertwined our fingers and entered the restaurant. The hostess came up to us.

"Good evening, sir and madam. Do you have a reservation?" she asked.

"Yes, under the name Hilary Carter." Her eyes widened.

"Oh, Ms. Carter. Please follow me."

We followed her to a reserved table by the window.

"Here you are," she pointed to the table.

"Thank you," I said, and Anthony just nodded at her.

"I’ll bring the menus," she said as she walked away, leaving us alone.

He pulled the chair out for me.

"Thank you, my love." I sat down, and he sat across from me.

"I’m nervous, I admit it," he said with a slight laugh.

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"That's my first date; I'm trying to impress you," I said, holding his hand that was resting on the table.

"You don’t need to do that, my love. You've impressed me many times already. Tonight, I just want to relax with my boyfriend, that’s all." He smiled and kissed the back of my hand.

"You really are an amazing woman. I’m very lucky to have you as my girlfriend. And maybe, in the future, as my wife."

I smiled to myself thinking about that.

Soon, we saw the hostess come back with a waitress.

"Ms. Carter, this is Laura. She will be serving you tonight," the hostess introduced the woman.

"Good evening," Laura said, bowing respectfully.

"Good evening," we both greeted her.

"Excuse me," the hostess said as she left.

"Here you go, Mrs. and Mr. Carter," Laura said, handing us the menus. "If you need anything, just let me know."

She left, and I looked at Anthony, who was staring at me in surprise.

"Did she say, Mr. Carter?" I smiled at him.

"Yes, she did." He sighed.

"You’re going to kill me one day, my love." I really can’t stop smiling every time he says something to me.

"I hope that never happens; I want to have a wedding first." He looked at me.

"You want to get married?" I intertwined our hands that were on the table.

"Of course I do. You’re the man I love. I want to marry you and build a family with you."

"I’ve always wanted to have children, but now I think it was for the best that she never accepted. Can you imagine, your children thinking their father is a rapist?"

"Don’t think about the past. Let’s focus on us now."

"Yes, I’m sorry." He kissed my hand again.

"Let’s choose our dishes, and then we can talk," I said. He nodded.

"Yes."

I looked at the menu and started browsing the dishes.

"I think I’ll go for the baby back ribs," I said, looking at the menu. "With fries, and you, love?" I looked at him.

"I think I’ll have the meat lasagna." I nodded.

"And for dessert?" I asked.

"You choose," he said with a slight smile.

"Chocolate cake?"

"That’s fine with me, love."

"Alright."

I saw the waitress in the corner and waved my finger, and she soon came to us.

"Have you decided, Mr. and Mrs. Carter?"

"Yes, I’ll have the baby back ribs with fries, he’ll have a piece of lasagna, and for dessert, we’ll have two slices of chocolate cake," I said, handing her the menu.

"And for drinks?" she asked.

"Champagne," I said, looking at him to make sure it was okay, and he agreed.

"Very well, your orders will be ready shortly."

He handed her his menu as well, and I sighed.

"Let’s talk, love." He laughed.

"I’m all ears, my beautiful."

Oh, how I love this man.
