Chapter 158 Chapter 158

Chapter 158 Chapter 158
Carlota’s POV

I was tired of listening to the nonsense the elders said. They thought they had a right to tell me what I could do and what I couldn't do, and they even dared to tell me that I would be executed. Then they tried to kill me, and I defended myself, so I didn't have the right to hurt him?

This is the same person that has haunted me for a long time in my life, and now I finally got the opportunity to get rid of him. Of course I wouldn't pass on that opportunity. Besides, this anger I have isn't something that I can control anymore. My power always gets increased every time I use my emotions.

"Don't kill anyone. You can't do this. You're supposed to unite us, not kill us," the elders complained again.

I was tired of listening to any nonsense they had to say.

"SHUT UP!" I roared, and it echoed everywhere. It was powerful enough to shake the place.

"All you know how to do is complain and make orders, but there hasn't been anything you have done to help anyone. Who do you think should take responsibility for everyone? The same person you want dead?"

I laughed at their stupidity. "You want me to protect you? Why should I do that?"

"Because that's what you're supposed to do," they replied. "You're not supposed to kill anyone. We're only trying to help you complete everything. It's going to eat you up anyway. Why won't you listen?"

I was tired of listening to them, and I turned around. "What's the good thing about listening to all of you? You just try to kill me anyway. Why do I have to be reasonable when you're not?"

Their conditions are always ridiculous. They act like the victim when they try to kill someone, but when I retaliate on the bad person? I won't let them manipulate me like this anymore. I looked at Gabriel and Paxton.

"Let's just go right now. I am done talking to these people. We are going back to the manor. I hope you don't come to bother us anymore," I said and headed out. But then I stopped again before walking outside.

"Oh, and you should quickly discuss amongst yourselves on what you're going to do. Someone has to take responsibility for trying to kill me, right? You better do it fast, or you all are going to pay for it."

I just can't explain the feeling of threatening them and seeing their expressions like that. They already dared to send Dante to kill me. Did they expect me to still be the same idiot Dante used to control? I'm not going to let anyone control me anymore.

We decided to go back to the manor after walking out of there. I still had a lot of overwhelming feelings deep inside. The two brothers looked at me without saying anything, but I knew they had a lot in their mind—probably because they found me different from before, and I was now more arrogant.

Maybe this is the part where they will say I'm not worthy of being with them anymore. After all this is over, probably they would not want to be around me, but it's okay as long as they don't die because of me. That's all I care about right now. I want to end this nonsense as fast as I can. I don't want anyone to keep getting hurt because of me.

At least I have ended Dante now, and I don't have to worry about him anymore. If the council is going to continue bringing it up, they should think of how they are going to explain to the moon goddess about what they all did. After all, I am the moon heir. They didn't even try to help me with what my awakening was supposed to be, but actually they tried to kill me so that they could get my power.

"You just sit down and accept what they are dishing out to me because they are the so-called council?" Gabriel held my hand as we got to the manor. He seemed to have a lot on his mind, and I thought they would stop being childish, but Paxton also held my hand on the other side.

"Now that we have dealt with the council, should we continue to obey them and wait till they have figured out how we could fully awaken your power?" Gabriel asked me.

Paxton scoffed. "I don't think we should even wait for that power to awaken anymore. Since you can scare them like this, I don't think they will bother you. Why should we listen to everything they are doing? None of this would have happened in the first place if they didn't try to awaken it."

I think both of them don't probably know that I'm sandwiched between them, and they are trying to pull out my arms by holding me like that.

"I wasn't talking to you. Why wouldn't you let her speak for herself?" Gabriel scolded him.

"This is something that we are all in. Besides, it also involves me. Why can't I say something? Stop acting like you're the only one who is allowed to say something here," Paxton retorted.

I was getting tired of them arguing again, but I didn't stop them this time around. I wanted them to argue as much as they could before they could realize what was going on. Since they had nothing else to do other than to argue all the time, we were in a situation where we should sit down together and work for everything to be okay, but look at what they are doing.

"Are you done arguing?" I asked as I didn't hear them say anything anymore, and they were looking at me.

They were about to say something when they couldn't say it anymore, and all of a sudden the sky was changing. What the hell is going on? Why does my body suddenly feel so much heat coming out? I looked at the moon, and it looked like it was undergoing something again.

It was going to become red again, and it felt like I was being possessed by the moon right now. It wasn't time yet for my heat, and I could already feel it coming. What the hell is going on? What is the moon trying to do?

I looked up at the moon, trying to directly communicate with it to see what was going on. But both of them were not saying anything as they were also looking at the moon.
