Chapter 17

Nate's POV:

"Are you sure you can cook? We can order take-out or pizza anytime you know." I teased, leaning against her kitchen counter as she kept chopping on the vegetables.

"I made a mistake. I should have asked you to come over after I was done cooking," she glared at me and continued to focus on the potatoes.

"Why? Am I distracting you by being all hot and sexy?" I smirked, raising my eyebrows and she rolled her eyes.

"More like being annoying," she muttered under her breath, making me laugh. I kept watching her every move like a hawk and she stopped her work, placing her hands on her hip.

"Fine. I'll look away." I raised my hands up in the air and walked towards her living room on the left of her kitchen. It was a beautiful apartment and I had a proper look at it for the first time. The entire apartment was painted in white and black. The staircase in the middle of the living room led to her bedroom and I guess there was another guestroom beside it. We never made it up the stairs during both the times when I was there.

Damn! My apartment must look like a trash compared to hers.

"You really have good taste," I spoke, admiring the decor and furniture.

"Thank you," she called out and I turned my head to look at her, pushing away the hair from her face. She was all sweaty and pacing around the kitchen in her little apron that looked so damn sexy on her. A small smile crept on my face as I kept gazing at her fondly.

"You are doing it again," she spoke, not taking her eyes of the pan and I chuckled, shaking my head.

"So, what exactly happened in that meeting with the HR department?" I asked, walking towards the kitchen and she let out a huge sigh.

"They said that it was the lamest excuse they have ever heard and then they let me off with a warning since I was new here," she spoke in an annoyed tone, making me frown.

"Why would they say that? It was the company's fault right?" I asked with a puzzled look on my face.

"Exactly but they swore that the company has never had a power outage and they have generators and stuff to handle these situations which actually made sense," she explained whilst stirring the food and I pondered over what she said.

"We should inform the maintenance department about this. There could be some actual problem with the elevator." I stated in a serious tone and she turned to look at me.

"It's like you read my mind." She grinned widely and I pulled her by her hand.

"Guess your smartness is rubbing off on me." I smiled, kissing her nose.

"This is nice. I love spending time with you, Sam." I whispered, caressing her cheeks and she closed her eyes, licking her lips.

"I love it too." She smiled, wrapping her arms around my neck and I kissed her lips softly at first which obviously ended up in a heavy make out session.

"Mmm...something is burning," I said against her lips, and she pulled back immediately, turning her attention to the food that was burnt to crisp.

"Fuck," she rushed towards the stove and turned it off immediately, adorning a cute little frown on her face and I tried so hard not to laugh.

"Umm...how about some pizza?" I asked and she gave me death glare that shut me up.

"This was all your fault. I told you not to distract me, jerk." She grumbled and walked outside the kitchen.

"Come on, baby girl. I'm sure it would have tasted good." I spoke, following her closely behind.

"You are just saying that to console me." She sat down on the couch and I copied her actions, pulling her closer towards me by her waist.

"I mean it and if it makes you feel any better, I wouldn't mind eating the burnt food too." I tried to cheer her up and she kept staring at me before bursting into laughter.

"Flattery will get you nowhere, Mr. Wilson," she said between her laughs.

"You wound me, baby." I pouted and took out my phone to order us dinner. She lifted herself up and sat on my lap, taking the phone from my hand and threw it on the opposite couch.

"Well, we might as well finish what we started." She blushed, taking my lips in an instant, throwing me off guard and I balanced her with my hands, grabbing her ass while she continued to shower me with kisses down my neck.

She was definitely crazy and I was loving every bit of it.

"Fuck, Sam." I groaned, getting hard in an instant and she started to remove her apron but I stopped her.

"What?" she asked with a confused look on her face.

"Leave it on. It's sexy." I gave her a boyish grin while she narrowed her eyes at me.

"You have a dirty"—she paused, taking my hand and guiding it under her dress—"dirty little mind there, Mr. Wilson," she whispered in a seductive tone while I pushed her panties aside to find her wet pussy.

"Is it so? Then why are you wet, Ms. Perez?" I whispered, running my fingers along her slick folds and she gripped my shirt tightly, grinding herself against my fingers.

"I guess your dirty mind is rubbing off on me," she smirked, quoting me from before and ran her hands through my hair as I inserted two fingers inside her entrance.

"Fuck, you are so tight, baby." I spoke against her skin as she buried her head between the crook of my neck. We were suddenly interrupted by the loud ringing of my phone, and I cursed under my breath.

"Who is it?" she asked breathlessly while my fingers were still inside of her.

"I don't care. Don't mind it, baby." I tried to kiss her, but we were interrupted again by the message tone, and she pulled herself back.

"It could be someone important." She stood up from my lap.

"Ughhh! Fine. Where is that damn phone?" I asked, almost on the verge of killing the person who interrupted us. She took the phone from the couch where she threw earlier and glanced at the screen. I noticed her eyes go wide, and she flicked her gaze to mine.

"Amy?" she asked in disbelief and I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion.

What was she talking about?

"What?"

She handed over the phone and sat down on the couch far away from me. I took the phone from her hand and read the message on screen which made me almost drop the phone.

'Hey sexy, want to come over?' -Amy What the actual fuck?

Shit!

I looked at Sam who had no expression on her face. Oh god, I really didn't want her to think or assume anything.

"I know this must look bad but it's not what you think, Sam." I tried to explain but she remained silent.

"Baby, she had a crush on me and even tried to ask me out but I told her that I wasn't interested. I have no idea why she texted me like that," I explained but she made no sound and I was literally freaking out. I didn't want to lose her again, not when I just got her back.

"Did you guys ever?" she asked in almost a whisper, "you know before I joined the company?"

"No, I swear. She asked me out that day when you saw us together in my cubicle and I turned her down obviously." I rushed out quickly and she sighed.

"I do trust you, Nate. You don't have to be afraid that I'll leave you again," She replied, making my eyes go wide.

"Really?" I asked, not believing my own ears.

"Yeah, I know this is all new but trust is really important in a relationship and I do believe you." She smiled, taking my breath away in an instant.

"You keep surprising me at every single turn, baby girl." I let out a shaky breath and looked into her beautiful hazel brown eyes. She blushed, biting her bottom lip.

"Well it's not surprising that Amy has a crush on you. You are indeed sexy, Mr. Wilson." She looked at me through her thick lashes, making me raise my eyebrows.

"Did you just compliment me?"

"Yeah, don't brag. You are still a jerk," she smiled and I took her hands between mine.

"Thank you for trusting me. I know it's a huge thing for you and I promise to never break that trust." I replied sincerely and kissed her hand.

"Stop being all mushy. Now, should we continue what we started or should I expect any more interruptions from your fan club?" She asked in a sarcastic tone, making me laugh and I lifted her off the couch.

"Wh-what are you doing, Nate?" she gasped in shock.

"Time to explore some other places in your apartment." I smirked, making my way upstairs and she held on to my neck tightly.

"I'll kill you if you drop me, Nate. I'm scared of heights." She started to freak out as I kept climbing up the stairs.

"I've got you, baby girl." I winked, kissing her lips.

The rest of the night went by blissfully perfect and I realized how much I craved her with every passing second. She was like a drug and I honestly couldn't get enough of her.

How can a single person make you so damn happy?

"What are you thinking about?" she asked as we were lying naked beneath the sheets with my arms wrapped around her.

"You." I replied truthfully, running my fingers against her smooth olive skin.

"Awww...what are you thinking about me?"

"About how amazing you are," I kissed her head and sensed her smiling against my chest.

"What were you doing that day at the club?" I asked out of curiosity and she lifted herself from my chest.

"It was actually my last day at my old company and they threw me this huge farewell party. It was all so overwhelming for me so I ditched my own party and came to the club. Then I saw you and you looked really fucked up," she laughed, thinking about that day and I joined along with her," But I don't know why I agree to sleep with you. It was so unlike me."

"You simply couldn't resist this body, baby girl." I grinned, pinning her down on the bed and she started to giggle as I kissed down her neck.

That moment, being with her, felt so right and everything was just too perfect.
